Gameweek 12 is the second midweek round of the 2022/23 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season and follows hot on the heels of Sunday’s action.

Brighton and Hove Albion v Nottingham Forest get us underway at 19:30 BST, with Crystal Palace v Wolverhampton Wanderers three-quarters of an hour later.

Roberto De Zerbi makes just one change from the side that lost 2-0 at Brentford in Gameweek 11, as Adam Lallana replaces Pervis Estupinan, who drops to the bench.

That could potentially see Leandro Trossard line up at left wing-back, although a system change to a back four is another possibility.

As for the visitors, Steve Cooper makes three alterations. In come Serge Aurier, Orel Mangala and Jesse Lingard, with Harry Toffolo, Cheikhou Kouyate and Emmanuel Dennis dropping out.

Neco Williams, meanwhile, is included in the starting XI, with Aurier expected to feature at left-back.

Over at Selhurst Park, Patrick Vieira makes just one change from Saturday’s goalless draw at Leicester City, as Michael Olise comes in for Jordan Ayew.

Managerless Wolves, however, ring the changes. Nathan Collins returns from suspension, while Nelson Semedo, Hugo Bueno and Boubacar Traore are all handed starts.

Jonny is a substitute, but fellow full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is absent from the matchday squad.

GAMEWEEK 12 LINE-UPS

Brighton and Hove Albion XI: Sanchez, Veltman, Dunk, Webster, March, Mac Allister, Caicedo, Trossard, Gross, Lallana, Welbeck

Subs: Steele, Lamptey, Sarmiento, Enciso, Undav, Estupinan, Gilmour, Van Hecke, Turns

Nottingham Forest XI: Henderson, Williams, Cook, McKenna, Aurier, Mangala, Yates, Freuler, Lingard, Gibbs-White, Johnson

Subs: Hennessey, Biancone, Worrall, Awoniyi, Toffolo, Surridge, Kouyate, Dennis, Boly

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell, Doucoure, Schlupp, Eze, Olise, Zaha, Edouard

Subs: Johnstone, Goodman, Tomkins, Ebiowei, Balmer, Riedewald, Milivojevic, Ayew, Mateta

Wolverhampton Wanderers XI: Sa, Semedo, Collins, Kilman, Bueno, Neves, B Traore, A Traore, Nunes, Podence, Costa

Subs: Sarkic, Mosquera, Jonny, Hodge, Campbell, Ronan, Moutinho, Guedes, Hwang

Guehi keeps a clean sheet away at the team that always scores and concedes at home v a team that couldn't hit a barn door from two yards.

He's not much worse but Saka being on pens and Jesus being on 4 yellows makes me favour Saka

I'd say it's pretty much even. For me, it's more of a question of where the value is around the 6.5-7.0m mark in MIDs/FWDs.

Mitro, Scamacca and Wilson are all decent options, which is why I favour Saka now (having had Jesus for first 10 GWs.

4 yellow cards and no pens makes me favor Saka.

    8. Zimo

Saka better due to lack of mid options, Pens, lots of fwd options, extra point for goal and clean sheet, and not almost nearing a ban.

People will say Saka, though it is quite funny how Jesus has faded from his ‘essential’, ‘hugely underpriced’ status in FPL GW1 when he had 80% ownership!

The only way I can get Salah in is by selling Kane... Which doesn't feel like a great idea, but it does feel like Salah is going to turn a page soon

Argh you're so right... I think the NFO fixture is really what's turning my head, the opportunity for a differential captain like that is tough to pass up. I'll stick for now

        1. The Big Fella
          • 9 Years
          3 years, 4 months ago

Increasingly, Kane is becoming the differential out of the two. I am sticking with Kane for now. If I change my mind, it will be post GW16 when we get the free wildcard during the World Cup.

Trossard dropped out of the 100+ delta score on FPL Statistics so will probably not be going up tonight now. Quite frustrating! I really needed the 0.1 to bring in Saka and Foden. I will have to wait for the inevitable Zaha rise now, after his goal tonight, to get my 0.1

    1. Flaps
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Sell on is half the rise

      1. The Big Fella

        3 years, 4 months ago

Yeah I know. So if either of them rise, I will get an additional 0.1m for either of them because I bought them several price rises ago.

      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Not sure Zaha rises tbh, FFFix has him falling at -1% per hour
Foden and Saka are flying at +8% and +6% per hour and FFFix has them both rising tomorrow at this pace!

      1. The Big Fella
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

Trossard is on over 99 again now and rising fast! Just two more hours of this to go. I really hope he goes up. I never use FFFix - which do you find more accurate?

  13. Steffanos23

    Thoughts on the WC team?

    Kepa - Klaesson (GKs)
Gomez - Tripper - Cancelo - Dier - Neco (DEFs)
Salah - Saka - Martinelli - Foden - Andreas (MIDs)
Haaland - Toney - Mitrovic (FWs)

    Few thoughts:
    1. Solanke to get in instead of Mitrovic or Toney?
    2. Gomez nailed, as he's a good choice now for 4.5 mils?

    1. BeWater
      • 5 Years
      3 years, 4 months ago

Wouldn't worry about Solanke. That forward line looks good.

Not sure about Gomez but 4.5 isn't a big risk. Depends how much money you have to spend on that spot.

  14. Free Hat
    • 7 Years

Dont get me wrong, Kepa at 4.4 is good value, but do you really see a lot of clean sheets in chelseas fixtures till gw 16?

Maybe im missing something, but I honestly dont see the appeal, at least for now...

    1. Steffanos23

Thought about this as well, Ramsdale looks like a better option if you're not low on money for GKs.

I'm much the same, was considering getting him but actually keeping Raya +Ward. Don't trust Brentford too much but can't beat their next 3 fixtures (Villa, Wolves, Forest). Ward can cover the City game in GW16. Was contemplating moving Ward to Kepa now but I might end up needing that .4 free again on my WC and I'll lose. 1 so think I'll just stick

Yeah I got him last week but kind of regret using a transfer on him
Next week I have a choice of him vs. MUN or Ward vs. WOL which doesn’t feel straightforward and then fixtures thereafter aren’t great

The amount of Trossard owners actually astounds me this week. Over 50% EO is insane for a player like him. Just shows how active managers are nowadays that they will pick up players like this on a one week punt.

Couldn't argue with him being a good pick this week but very glad he blanked so all his new owners now have to spend another transfer to remove him (most likely).

I got him in cos I’m on wildcard this coming week, there are plenty of people in the same position. He was certainly worth the punt and had some good chances.

Not activating WC until Saturday, brought in Salah and Antony in case they rise and moved Perisic to Doherty, hopefully I can get the Bournemouth and Leeds games from him, might play him next week, we'll see. Don't think I actually want Salah but we'll see how Liverpool look, think I prefer Firmino/Nunez and maybe Robbo for Forest so I can ensure I can get Saka, Foden and Martinelli without much hassle but things can certainly change quickly if Liverpool prove me wrong and look like they've turned a corner

Not nearly enough to say yet. Royal’s still been starting the games he hasn’t been suspended for (i.e CL).

It’s close. What you do with the extra £££ if you went Martinelli?

Do we expect Patterson to return to being in the first 11 when he comes back from injury at the end of the month?

I am going to upgrade one of Patterson or Neco and I am preferring to upgrade Neco I think. Everton have not been too bad defensively this season, or at least better than Forest

i agree, its just you need to hope Patterson is not out longer than expected

Don't ugrade either unless you're gonna ppay the upgrade. Both are good enablers

This is true but my three of my defenders are Guhei, Patterson and Neco. This does not scream out points to me. The other two are Trippier and Cancelo. I will see how much money I have when I bring in Saka and Foden and make a decision. Thanks!

You’ve got Saka in all options

I like both A or C, slightly favour C probs

WC transfers don't count towards players going up in price

Looking at triple City, Arsenal, Liverpool longingly for WC13....

    Pickford (3.9)
    Cancelo, TAA, VVD, Gabriel (3.9)
    Salah, Saka, Foden, Martinelli (4.3)
    Haaland, Mitrovic (4.3).

Just need Haaland to drop the 0.1 tonight to pull it off...

Kinda don't like being that thin on the bench...but also like it a lot.

It’s good but that bench is too weak
Would rather have Gomez over VVD and have a better bench

        Trippier over VVD, easy.

Yeah sell VVD for a cheapie for a better bench, will be worth it

I wouldn't go double Liverpool defence myself until you are sure they've sorted things out. Other than that it's a great team.
