    So, any suggestions appreciated.

Bad week with a "good" team (and lots of bench points) has dented my cash league hopes for the monthly prize.

    Kepa
    Cancelo/botman/Gomez
    Salah (c)/foden/eze/saka
    Haaland/mitro/Ivan

    Ward/almiron/dunk/botman

This week do I go for bench boost? Currently 3 points behind 1st, 4 ahead of 3rd and 6 ahead of 4th for October.

Also, any transfer suggestions? Dunk to Chelsea for 1 week?

    Comments gratefully received.

Gutsy move. If it works you feels good but it could backfire spectacularly and in hindsight it would look like a very silly decision. It’s one for the high risk manager that’s for sure

    Need some ideas here!
Recon have to get def to play over Castagne next week, also worth doing Salah/Zaha to Saka for a hit?

    Guaita
    Cancelo/Trippier/Castagne
    Salah/Foden/Zaha/Martineli
    Haaland/Toney/Mitro

    Iversen/Pereira/Neco/Emerson

    1. Ser Davos

Saka could spark, but given Salah/Zaha's fixtures then I'd prioritise being able to bench Castagne

  21. The Big Fella

I think I am doing Maddison to Saka this week. The allure of a haul against Notts is too much and I don't think City, Everton away and WHU away are particularly good matches for Leicester. Everton have been good defensively, they just can't score. My question then is, who do I bench next week:
    Foden, Zaha, Saka, Andreas, Martinelli
    Kane, Haaland, Wilson

    1. NATSTER
      • 15 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

You can field a good team without that transfer.

      1. The Big Fella
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 5 months ago

Maddison plays City, Saka plays Forest. The latter is much more likely to return. Who would you play if it were you and you didn't do the transfer?

1 ft lads, probs good to save eh? 1.7 itb

Which to prioritise, whether as this GW move or the next?

    A. Salah > KDB
    B. Guehi > Cancelo (via Salah to someone)

    Pope Ward
    Trippier Dier Neco Guehi Emerson
    Salah Foden Martinelli Zaha Andreas
    Haaland Kane Mitrovic

  25. CoracAld2831

    Guaita
    Trippier-Andersen-Cancelo
    Zaha-Foden-Salah(v)-Martinelli
    Haaland(c)-Mitrovic-Toney

    Ward-Andreas-N.Williams-Webster

    A: Roll
B: Zaha -> Saka for free (exact money)
    C: Other?

Heavily leaning rolling unless someone gets injured.

I beat myself up for simply proving to be a useless manager.

But when switching from Ward/Iversen to Pope/Iversen spectacularly backfires, you know there's very little hope of ever getting the knack of this game

Well, I'm talking over a number of GWs over a one off GW. Wardf to Pope with Ward outscoring the latter is a disturbing pill to swallow

If football was that predictable, then FPL would be an easy game.

Always hope for good luck rather than good skill. It is better to be lucky than good.

    3. Nas
      • 8 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

Pope has been hugely disappointing tbf, no one could have predicted that a few weeks ago given his fixtures. And the annoying this is his defense is pretty good, just keeps conceding the one goal and ruining it. He should be an ederson type with a steady return of 6s but no bonus or saves

    4. Not again Shirley
      • 9 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

In fairness, all teams concede chances, every single one of them. It is just luck usually whether the opposing team manages to score any of those chances. No one can predict that. Henderson gets 11 points this week but could very easily have conceded 4 if Liverpool were more clinical and ended up with zero points. That’s football.

    Pope
    Cancelo - Trippier - Castagne
    Salah - Foden - Martinelli - Rashford
    Haaland - Wilson - Mitrovic

    Iversen - Andreas - Guehi - Williams

    1FT, 1.6ITB

    1. Start Castagne or Guehi?
    2. Who to drop if I want to start Andreas?
    3. Roll the transfer or who would you put in? Was considering Salah > anyone, or an Arsenal defender.

    1. Nas
      • 8 Years

      I’d start guehi.
I’d bench Andreas, unfortunate sure, but you really can’t bench anyone else (maybe Wilson? But I probably wouldn’t given the fixture)
      I’d roll the transfer
