Spurs v Newcastle team news: Doherty and Perisic benched

Gameweek 13 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) continues at 16:30 BST on Sunday, as Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United go head-to-head.

Spurs are looking to get back on track after losing 2-0 to Manchester United on Wednesday, while the visitors are one of the Premier League’s form sides and arrive in the capital full of confidence.

As for the team news, Antonio Conte makes five changes to his starting XI, with wing-backs Matt Doherty and Ivan Perisic – who went into Gameweek 13 off the back of two successive starts – among those dropping out.

Cristian Romero, Ben Davies and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg also make way, with Davinson Sanchez, Clement Lenglet, Emerson Royal, Ryan Sessegnon and Oliver Skipp coming in.

Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski remain sidelined.

For Newcastle, it’s just the one change as Joe Willock replaces Jacob Murphy, who is a substitute.

    That Maddi yellow card was devastating, had to bring in Trossard in GW12 and then Trossard-> Zaha. While Maddison is banging. Maybe will get Maddi again for Zaha? I am sure Zaha will haul next week and Maddi will blank. Isnt it?

    Just rage transferred Pope/Andreas > Raya/Almiron (-4). Pope never scores any more than 6 and has a tendency to pick up daft yellows with Newcastle's timewasting tactics, and I never get Andreas' points off the bench so seems a waste of time having him.

    My Kane and Gordon to Foden and Jesus -4 didn't quite go to plan. Still having my best ever start by some way, but if I didn't make that move it would have been nose bleed territory! Still I really fancied the -4 to pay off and I'm usually hit averse too, no point winding myself up about it

      Nope. I had GW RANK 8,638,319 and dropped below two million OR. Top 100k is still easily within reach, Haaland has been injury prone and things may change. We have also extra WC soon. And legendary managers are getting something like 50 pts only. So this week is not the worst week to have bad week. Remember two seasons ago when Son and Kane assisted each other 4 goals. That was season defining, this isn't.

      I feel similar after 3 abysmal weeks, but history suggests just making sure to keep logging in and doing your transfers each week is half the battle.

      My rank took a battering after Halaand haul against United. I went from 250k to 1.8m in 2 GWs and nearly gave up. I have an awful midfield but with Halaand perma captain and a few other right picks I've managed to get back to 400k. It's still doable.

          What a terrible week for my wildcard decisions so far, I lost immediate gains of -26 points. The only thing that can save it is my Cresswell punt...

          KDB > Salah = -7

            It definitely hasn't. Felt like my planning for GW12 had been on point, then I lost James to a long term injury, Trent to a fake injury, and Maddison to a 94th minute yellow card. That's without all the other times when your players have plum fixtures coming up and then a monarch drops dead.

              Too late, sold Salah for Saka and Emerson for VvD yesterday 😉

              I had poor start also last season, but fixed it on WC. Ended up losing top 5k with one point. Start of this season has been even worse, but I try build up tv and attack later when others have given up. Last season I was around 1 million OR at this stage, so the lesson is never to give up!
