Spurs v Newcastle team news: Doherty and Perisic benched

Gameweek 13 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) continues at 16:30 BST on Sunday, as Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United go head-to-head.

Spurs are looking to get back on track after losing 2-0 to Manchester United on Wednesday, while the visitors are one of the Premier League’s form sides and arrive in the capital full of confidence.

As for the team news, Antonio Conte makes five changes to his starting XI, with wing-backs Matt Doherty and Ivan Perisic – who went into Gameweek 13 off the back of two successive starts – among those dropping out.

Cristian Romero, Ben Davies and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg also make way, with Davinson Sanchez, Clement Lenglet, Emerson Royal, Ryan Sessegnon and Oliver Skipp coming in.

Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski remain sidelined.

For Newcastle, it’s just the one change as Joe Willock replaces Jacob Murphy, who is a substitute.

      Last season in the last third they were really good, I'm not sure how they can be so poor in comparison now. They were horrendous against ManUtd. Another few bad results and I wonder if a Conte implosion will be imminent

    Wish I had faith in Newcastle over Spurs! Trippier on my bench, Doherty in my XI… this only ends one way.

      And still he's looked down upon in England. Not denying his methods and style are exactly always pleasing, but he got that 2nd place finish with ManUtd is still beyond my comprehension. Also robbed of the League Cup final he got Spurs to too

          He came to Spurs to win a cup and end their trophy drought, looking like a genius. Which explains only the 18 month contract he had. He’s a very good manager but he’s incapable of actually building a team. His signings this summer, for a CL side, were a bit odd to say the least.

      They dont have a creative midfielder. Not replacing Eriksen is their undoing. With Son and Kane, they could have scored loads with creativity in the middle of the park.
