The final Premier League match of the day is an unusual 7.45pm BST kick-off and sees Liverpool entertain struggling Leeds United.

Erling Haaland has almost had the monopoly on the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) captaincy for the last couple of months but an old armband favourite, Mohamed Salah, will be carrying the hopes of legions of FPL bosses tonight.

Over 1.25 million managers made Salah their skipper outright ahead of Saturday’s deadline but there’ll be plenty of others who are relying on the Egyptian as their vice-captain after Haaland’s earlier no-show.

Above: Overall captaincy and vice-captaincy picks in Gameweek 13 (via LiveFPL)

Salah starts as expected this evening and, if Jurgen Klopp is sticking with the 4-4-2 diamond he used at Ajax in midweek, FPL’s most expensive asset will again be playing through the middle of the hosts’ attack alongside Darwin Nunez.

The Reds’ side is about as full strength as Klopp can go this evening, with Thiago Alcantara recovering from an ear infection to start.

He takes the place of Jordan Henderson, who drops to the bench.

Leeds are without the injured Luis Sinisterra but the myriad other first-teamers who were yellow-flagged for this match are mostly fit, with Rodrigo, Liam Cooper, Tyler Adams and Joe Gelhardt all making the matchday squad.

Adams is one of three players recalled by Jesse Marsch for this one, with Crysencio Summerville and Rasmus Kristensen also getting the nod.

Luke Ayling and Sam Greenwood drop to the bench.

Him & Carragher should never co-comm their teams games, bias analysis is common with all pundits.

Leeds outran Liverpool by 11km, they worked harder and pressed them into mistakes. No real credit given but lazy analysis where Meslier was player of the match (which I think was wrong) that Leeds were lucky.

There's a huge Liverpool love-fest with a lot of these pundits. They were defending Gerrard when he had a worse win percentage at Villa (32.5%) than Neville had at Valencia (35.7%), despite spending £63m in the summer...

At least Neville understood he was crap and quit management...

What real quality, beside Pope, Guimaresand Trippier do they have to challenge for a top 4 spot? If they disrupt the current team with new signings it could disrupt the harmony in the dressing room. Would love to see them doing well, saw them playing Birmingham in '07 when Big Sam was in charge. A great stadium, great supporters and a great town.

Halland in this Pool team couldnt score like he his scoring at Cty.

And Nunez at City naturally would score more.

Dont think its a PL problema for him. Team isnt helping and he has confidence issues. Was the same in Portugal before he exploded in his esconde season.

Who do you prefer Miggy or Trossard, got Trippier & doing Toney > Wilson?

Too risky having 3 Trossard has excellent fixtures

Trossard scores in 'difficult' fixtures, nothing risky with 3 NEW ... it's differential as a combo

They are not Liverpool anymore. They swapped with Newcastle. Teams rise teams fall.

Zaha is known as The Barnacle, you have to scrape him off or he’s going nowhere.
