As for Arsenal, it’s business as usual, with just one change from the 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 14.

I think we're at the stage where the expectation is now for Arsenal to win the league.

Chelsea are useless. Liverpool worse so. United have too much to catch. Spurs rubbish against the other big 6.

Arsenal have done bits versus Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea now. City remain but without Haaland their lack of depth will hurt them.

    Very impressive from the Gunners.

What do you mean without Haaland? Why?

I mean when he's been injured and/if it happens again. They stumbled over Leicester, even more so against Fulham.

Don't get me wrong, City will rip teams 4-0 etc but Arsenal look ridiculously good.

Why injure a player in your imagination to create an 'expectation'? Arsenal's depth is undeniably not as strong as City's. Losing Partey would be mire significant to Arsenal than City losing Haaland anyway

      ?

I don't think there's an expectation. They haven't won the league in ages & it's still tight.

If there's any team one expects to win the league, it's City.

They are still a couple of injuries themselves away from a slump, long way to go yet but agree on the whole

City won the title last season without Haaland. Arsenal could definitely win it but I think "expectation" is a bit too strong.

No expectation of Arsenal winning the league although currently they are significantly better than the remainder

This game reminds me of when a League 3 side takes on one of the heavyweight teams in the FA Cup. Just holding out for as long as possible.

        1. Mirror Man
          3 years, 9 months ago

It's bad. The squad is a mess. Two geriatric/past-it defenders, two crippled full-backs, no midfield, no goalkeeper, and two absolute jalopies up front. If Arsenal had an actual goalscorer they would have put 5 past them.

Rarely in recent times have I seen Chelsea play as badly as this. Arsenal should have scored way more but it doesn't disguise the gulf between the two teams. Injured players need to return and there are obvious reinforcements required in all areas of the pitch.
