Understand that five of England’s goals from yesterday are currently under VAR review.

Iran may still win 2-1 😮

So, would I be right in saying, we still don't actually know for sure if we can swap players from our bench and bank the points?

You can bring them in to score points if they aren't locked

If you swap in player from bench for player who has played you will lose points for that player-

You can swap in players for the “Matchday” and receive their points, but lose those of whoever you swap out.

    Halftime score
    Var 2
    Argentina 0
    Saudis 0

Var the winners with a non existent penalty and a computer generated offside.

      Sus comment.

I don't see any more diving than any other nation tbh. All teams do it.

Silly comment. These teams have been playing against better teams.

It’s usually a kind of thing the weaker teams do against the stronger ones…

I bet on Argentina to win by 5+ goals

And other bets with Martinez and a Messi double.

Feeling a bit robbed here, Saudis paid off the VAR

every single call right and all of them offside. blame the attackers for not being able to time pretty basic runs behind a high line

  25. Etihader

Very bad half from Argentina and Messi tbh. All they could offer was through balls against this high line. Not only they failed to avoid offsides, their general play on the ball was very poor. This includes Messi who showed 20% of his club level performance. Where is his motivation he was talking about pre game?

for players this technically gifted its bizarre to see them not even able to perform the simplest of key passes or time their runs properly. really lacklustre.

Excellent aggressive pressing from Saudi Arabia. Reminds of the USA 1st half display.

But USA dropped off in the 2nd half, perhaps the Saudis will too...

Really dissapointing from Argentina this first half. France, England,Brazil,Germany, spain teams like that would be 4 up by half time against saudiarabia

Teams can take a while to get going in a tournament and build momentum. Main thing is just to win your first game.

My mate is adamant that he can still change his captain again. He had someone yesterday and has changed to someone else today. Am I smoking crack or is that him had his captain change because ‘matchday 1’ is the first round of games?

Rules seem pretty clear for this one - In this scenario you will not retain the doubled points of your previous captain. Your new player will now score double points for your team instead.

Rules are one thing, but whether their software is in line with them is quite another.

I didn't bother playing the FIFA game. Stick to Sky Sports - lock and load your team and captain at the start of each day, and I trust their game to work properly.

The guy is a complete jerk though, and his opinion is worthless. How he gets a gig as a pundit I don't know.

Being schooled by Souness on the laws of the game but he's too opinionated to even listen.
