Friday team news: Tielemans and Vardy benched, Moyes changes three

Gameweek 18 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) follows hot on the heels of Wednesday’s action and kicks off this evening, with two matches taking place.

West Ham United v Brentford gets us underway at 19:45 GMT, with Liverpool v Leicester City following quarter of an hour later.

David Moyes makes three changes from Gameweek 17, as Angelo Ogbonna, Emerson Palmieri and Gianluca Scamacca come in for Thilo Kehrer, Tomas Soucek and Michail Antonio, all of whom drop to the bench. That suggests a change of shape for the Hammers, potentially to a 3-4-3 formation.

As for Brentford, Thomas Frank makes only one alteration to his starting XI, with Josh Dasilva replacing Vitaly Janelt in midfield.

Over at Anfield, Liverpool make just one change from the side that beat Aston Villa 3-1 on Boxing Day, as Harvey Elliott comes in for Fabinho, who is absent from the matchday squad.

Brendan Rodgers, meanwhile, brings in Wilfred Ndidi and Ayoze Perez for Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet. Jamie Vardy is once again named among the substitutes, while James Maddison misses out through injury.

    I think the main regret from the unlimited transfer period for me was going with Gabriel in a double Arsenal defence plus 2+M in cash, instead of going with a Robertson or Cancelo. GW17 was harsh losing the clean sheet and Robbo doing well, and think it could be another painful one this week too! 2FTs and plenty to spend going into GW19 though so will look to use that as an advantage.

      Similar boat here, I had Robbo before the break and didn't plan on getting rid, but late on had a look at fixtures and decided I'd rather move him to a cheaper def and keep the money itb to bring in Kane later on if needed (or for a different move if preferred). That being said, it's been one game. They could well concede again today and he doesn't get a return before a run of 3 difficult games and suddenly it doesn't look like an error

        Yeah very true, I think the reasons why I made the decision was the same as you, I also thought Robbo may get a rest with the fixture congestion. Also went without Mitrovic due to the injury news and KDB over Salah, so time will tell but I’m happy with the flexibility of having cash in the bank and 2 free transfers.

      Not only do I not have Salah(C) but I don't have Salah. Looking at that Leicester defence and midfield I'm well and truly behind the couch, think it was well worth a shot. Haaland is Haaland but Everton will sit in and try to frustrate City, wouldn't be amazed if they keep the score down tomorrow
