      Still kicking myself for keeping Castagne over Cucurella for the restart. Cucu just seemed a big risk with his substitutions before the break, while Castagne has been doing really well and is benchable at his price.

        I started Trippier & Saliba - more out of hope plus helped by Cancelo & Bueno being my other options not called Luke Shaw - and was very surprised at how many managed bench Arsenal and / or Saudi defenders.

        It was always gonna be a tight match that one (nil nil a bit lucky though i accept)

        Gutted non spurs owner after tonight.. 40pts with 8 players to still get points gives me some hope though.

        Any ideas where to go for next week? I know I should hold and wait till all games are played. But I am really close behind my league leaders and tonight just pushed them much further. I was thinking James & mitro > Kane & Mee / toon defender? Then get shaw in after his two tricky fixtures.

            That’s a good point, kane tends to turn up in big games though, plus city haven’t looked the most robust defensively so that’s where my debate is at.

            Tbh Shaw would be 4th defender as I have Trippier Gabriel & Botman - but if ManU dgw soon then it could be worth it. I have 0.1M spare so can afford one Shaw price increase.

              Yeah true enough, and given how Spurs went last season, I fully expect Pep will go fully defensive and play Grealish to avoid an end-to-end game, could be the same against ManUtd too as I don't expect ETH will change how they play for that game. Getting rid of Foden would actually help me in a way tbh so I'll see how I feel after tonight whatever the outcome

          Kane has blanked 4 times in 18 games so far. Only Trippier and Haaland have a better record.

          He's not really captain material but so consistent and finding room in the budget is easy as.

          15 league goals already before the midway point. Not not too difficult to afford given that so many cheap players compose most XIs this season.
          Not sure why he's not fashionable on this site, he'd be running away with the golden boot if it wasn't for the Norwegian.

            I think Darwin has had a lot to do with it recently. There was some hype around him and people are slowly moving away from him. Mitro was always the third forward given his price/returns and Toney for some part. Kane has proved his value today so I expect to see him become increasingly more valuable on the site

            Imagine the 2nd highest scorer being only 13th highest owned! Its crazy stuff.

            This season especially there are no arguments not to get him, nobody needs a 2nd captaincy option so his non-viability there doesn't matter. There are so many good enablers that mean there are plenty of funds for a threemium team.

            It's just until this week he hasn't scored highly enough to trigger people's knees.
