      He looked OK from what I saw of him today in what was a tight game, showed a few flashes of what he can do. Rodrigo looked a bit more immediately threatening with efforts on goal, little unsure if there's a risk of Bamford on Rutter getting a start ahead of him in one of the two games. Think I'm probably more likely to get Rodrigo as I can get Nketiah then which was my initial idea but I'll see

          I did. Ah well, I had my reasoning for it and it backfired dreadfully. At least I stuck with my choice. (Now if Harry Kane wants to miss out tomorrow for an unspecified reason that'd be totally fine too)

            Captained Toney myself over Haaland. Based on the premise that Wolves would keep it tighter than Leeds and that Haaland was maybe going to be on the bench.

              Yeah that was effectively my reasoning, as well as City's not so impressive performances too, but look it happens, I went against Haaland captaincy two weeks in a row and both times it paid off, perhaps on my part I was just getting a bit foolish. Toney was still a good shout, don't think anyone expected that game to be as cagey as it was. I went with Mitrovic(C) so I may still hopefully make a little bit of ground back

        I'm not sure I fancy the double midfield. I just hate the look of Martinelli & Odegaard (considering WC) and I have a ~7.0M forward budget.

            Saka is the cost. When I can get Nketiah for 1.5M cheaper and he's outscored him over the last six weeks. Plus Jesus still has no return date.

              for me, money is so easy to come by right now. Main thing is structure for me. Seems so many more midfielders vying for spots, but Saka is just much better

                This is my point though. If there are more midfielders fighting for the few spots we have, why not get a cheaper striker option and you can pick up another good midfielder elsewhere?

            Yes. Nketiah has outscored Saka over the last six weeks and is 1.5M cheaper. Plus fills that cheap striker role alongside a Kane/Haaland combo. Odegaard outscored him also and is cheaper. Just seemingly makes sense.

              past points arent a good indicator for future points, for me.

              Saka just has such higher upside and looks more threatening every game imo. I do agree with the structure thing, but most are looking to go to 352 right? Do we need Nketiah in that formation?

                        Mate. My season, I just can't get my finger on the pulse. Kane out, Mitro in, Kane brace, Mitro suspended (I even told my mates that if Haaland wasn't in the league we'd be raving about Kane's form for a God awful Spurs team - think it was 13 in 18 in PL).

                        Robbo out this week, luckily for Burn so just a burn of a transfer/banked cash. When MCI v ARS was rescheduled went from KDB to Foden, back fired like crazy. Refused to go Shaw/Rashford after WC even though I rate them (thought Utd would flop again).

                        Love this game because of it though.

      TV ain't a problem this season.

      Salah/KDB/Bruno/Sterling/TAA/Cancelo/Robbo/Kane and so on.
      Non of them much better picks than cheaper alternatives.

      I got this WC draft:

      Ederson - Meslier
      Trippier - Shaw - Estupinan - Burn - Bueno
      KDB - Bruno - Rashford - Saka - Ødegaard
      Haaland - Nketiah - Ferguson.

      Still enough money to do Nketiah and Bruno -> Kane + Mitoma for around GW26 and still have enough to upgrade Bueno for a potential BB down the line.

    Is Nketiah now worth it over one of Saka or Odegaard to open a mid slot for Brighton?

        my current midfield is Salah - Bruno - Rash - Mahrez - Andreas

        Probably going for Saka and Ode before their double for Salah and Andreas. City midfielders are worth the risk imo with their double and fixtures after

        Just trying to see how i can bring in Brighton midfield but cant see it ahead of City players with doubles

                Id wildcard that easily

                Hell i dropped to nearly 600k after doing a stupid team for week 17 , wildcarded directly for week 18 and now back up to 80k with 2 to play and 2 FT

                Only downside i didnt go with my planned move of andreas to Mitoma this week so down 8 points and now cant afford him.

    Thoughts on Estupinian as a long term option? Great fixtures coming up and very attacking but Brighton’s defensive numbers don’t convince me much.

    Plan since GW17 was to leave space for Arse attacking triple-up, but it's hard to fit them in. Meanwhile, FPL defence is generally lacking.

    Does this look like a good plan for the doubles (assuming Utd/New BGW25), or would you lose another mid to get both Saka & Odegaard?

    Id expect both Martinelli and White to get some rest in the dgw.

    Can see both having one start and one coming off the bench
