In case you missed the announcement shortly before the lunchtime kick-off at Craven Cottage: the only two outstanding Premier League fixtures without a date have been rescheduled, slotting into Double Gameweek 37 as expected.

The matches in question are Brighton and Hove Albion v Manchester City and Manchester United v Chelsea, creating doubles for all four sides.

The other 16 top-flight teams only play once in Gameweek 37.

This follows an announcement on Thursday that Newcastle United v Brighton and Hove Albion now slots into Double Gameweek 36.

More reaction and analysis will follow in the coming days.

My wc team (will BB gw34)

    Feel like Watkins/mings needs changing.
Martinelli and trips I can’t change as had since day 1 so won’t be able to buy back later.

    0.1m in the bank

    Ederson
    TAA, Estu, trippier
    Grealish, Rashford, Salah, Mitoma
    Haaland, isak, Watkins

    Steele, mings, zouma, Martinelli

    Thoughts?

10 dgw’s. 11 if I use my sub next week for gw34 when I bench boost

Mings to Botman and I think you’re about there.

mings has Fulham at home this week so could keep him then swap out for botman for gw34? He’s not doubling though so feels a waste to have 3 Newcastle for next week when I’m BB’ing and they only play once..

Would also love to fit jota in but just don’t see how it’s possible

I can see the logic. Personally don’t like booking in transfers on a WC and think Fulham could nick a goal against Villa.
Solid team though - should do well

Alt option for more DGW’ers but means no arsenal coverage and no more martinelli in future for me

            Dalot, March, Jota in
            Estupinan, martinelli, Watkins out

            Hmmm?

You need triple Brighton. 3 doubles in final 6 GWs, drop Mart for Mac or March.

Don't like Mings or Zouma in there.

Ah you have Steele, i'd drop him for Iversen since 2 of his doubles coincide with City, seems a waste

I know that, but there's also 37 to keep in mind when Brighton have Southampton home and he'd be benching Ederson v Everton in 36

If needs must with team value, Iversen has Everton home which isn't bad. His team above only has 10/15 DGW players for GW34

Why not downgrade Ederson instead then?

Because with a WC now you initially want at least 2 City and he's the only 100% reliable starter for doubles in that entire defence. DZ has also been saying good things about Sanchez so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him get a league game or 2 towards the end.

Interesting take but I really don’t fancy Leicester defence id bank on Steele save points against MCI + a 2nd game if both are likely to concede anyway.

                      Definite rotation risk though agree

Scratch I’ve got 3 Brighton with Steele, Estupinan and Mitoma.

      I dropped Marti for March
Switched isak/Watkins for jota / solanke
Ederson / Steele to DDG /johnstone
      Ming’s/zouma to Shaw/man city defender

I didn’t like how shaw looked at all midweek and with this United defence looking shocking I don’t see them keeping a clean sheet any more than West Ham who also double. Zouma been a threat at set pieces too.

City defence is a mindfield unless it’s stones but think I’m priced out of him

Save FT for GW33, then take hits if needed for DGW34?

    Kepa
    Chilwell--Trippier--Estupnian
    Saka--Martinelli--Bruno--Mitoma
    Kane--Watkins--Haaland

    I have a moral dillema
I have a 56 point lead in ML (£200+ cash) & no chips
my rival has WC & BB left & I'm pretty sure he's WC this week as he only has 3 liverpool for DGW34 (no city/utd/ brighton)

I have 9 DGWs. I'm thinking of rolling FT this week & then after seeing his WC team using my transfers to copy his team as much as I can.
Is this a poor & immoral way to play? Not fussed about OR just this cash league

Nowt wrong with tactics. I would always say play your own game until GW 36 at least though. May i ask a question. What do you mean by £200 + cash? In my world £ is cash so what is that extra cash. I am genuinely intrigued!

      1. Shultan
        • 9 Years
        2 years, 10 months ago

the cash prize is more than £200 but I can't remember exactly what the figure is! So that is what I meant by +

The owner of the ML decided to give a small cash prize to 2nd & 3rd place but I can't remember what he decided at start of season

I played my WC in 26 & went ahead from 27 with BB in 29 going very well

If he plays his BB right that should cut into my lead so still feel like he could catch up

Its possible, but BB rarely delivers much (for me at least!), so should not be a problem. If single digits lead in 37 then maybe match, but otherwise i am sure you will be fine.

I've thought about this too, and the way I see it, you are in the lead and have earned the right to play however you want based on the competition. So i don't think it is immoral.

    Watkins Kane Haaland

    (0.2 itb 1ft)

What moves from the below looks the best?

    1. Kane and Mac Allister to Greenwood and Salah for -4 and play 352 from now on

    2. Kane and Mahrez to Greenwood and Salah for -4

    3. Just do Kane to Greenwood and do Mac Allister/Mahrez to Salah next week for free

    WC team, any suggestions?

    DDG Johnstone
    TAA Estu Shaw Trip Schar
    KDB Grealish Rashford Mitoma March
    Haaland Jota Watkins
    1.3 ITB

    * Watkins becomes Isak in GW36 for NEW Double
    * Wanted to have max playing doible GWers, hence cant have Steele, would block 1 Brighton spot.
    * Went for KDB over Salah, counting on KDB outscoring Salah due to his easier fixtures. Also need some differential to catch up.

    This gives me:
    GW 34- 11 DGW players
    GW 36 - 6 DGW players
    GW 37 - 9 DGW players

Looks awesome, KDB does have better and more fixtures than Salah. And City would want to win league as well.
My team is somewhat similar for GW34 and beyond:
      Ederson-Kepa
      Stones, Shaw, Trippier, TAA, Mings
      Mitoma, March, Mac-Allistar, Bruno, Rashford
      Haaland, Jota, Watkins
Also Watkins, Mings would become Isak, Schar for the NEW double.
If I had WC, I'd prefer having KDB than Bruno.

    Current team:
    Raya (Kepa)
    Trippier Schar Estupinan (Chilwell Mee)
    KDB Rashford March MItoma (Andreas)
    Haaland Kane Watkins

    A) Raya, Chilwell, Watkins -> Ederson, Shaw, Jota
    B) Raya, Chilwell, Kane -> DDG, TAA, Jota

I get the feeling we'll end up with a narrow selection of players for the run in. Can't see how to target more than a couple of City due to rotation risk during DGWs.

Thanks for the input. Only problem is I’m not sure any Man City/United players are worth it outside Rashford, Shaw, Haaland, KDB and Grealish.

Interesting thing about Bruno is I just took him out for KDB. He may yet prove me wrong, but I think Bruno is the worst premium out there, even worse than Kane

I don't see much difference in the team composition for GW34 vs GW37.
If you're not prepared for GW34, then I guess FH GW34, and make transfers to get a better team for GW36/37.

The template for remaining GWs would more or less be 3 x ManCity, 3 x ManUtd, 3 x Brighton, Trippier, 1 x Liverpool?
Maybe after GW34, the 1 x Liverpool could be changed to 1 x Newcastle or 1 x Arsenal?

Only thing they have left is trying to be top 4. And their fixtures aren't so bad either. They are still the team with most clean sheets.

True. If rashford hits back in form I will have to sell someone I don't want to, but the usual rashford/Shaw obvious picks are out of rhythm and the team hasn't looked as dangerous since casemiro choked

        You're right can be 2 x Liv for GW34.
Then for GW36 get 3 x Newcastle, then 37/38 can use some Arsenal.

That’s quite a rundown. I think it’s better to have benching headaches rather than have players you don’t want or trust. Things can change quickly too so having good replacements can help a person stay calm and disciplined. Good luck

Yes, most of us will be loaded on City, Brighton, ManU, and Newcastle with all those doubles. Plus you have a nice mix with Salah, Kane, and Watkins in there too. You’ve got a deep and balanced squad. Should be fine. Enjoy the sprint to the finish 🙂

Tough call. I think I’d play Mac. He usually gets chances in the center zone whether it’s in the box as a 10 or outside the box when playing 8/6. Brighton playing great football and Forest vulnerable. Just lost another CB today.

Grealish playing well too but not always the fpl scorer as he is involved in carrying the ball and game control so much. Plus he is on Ben White’s side who is solid. It’s the other side with Zinch that I think is more vulnerable. Recent goals due to defensive lapses against Pool, Wham, and Southampton come to mind.

It's team dependant really if it all boils down to how many DGW you can get on the park. Personally, I've only got three of them for 34 so my hand's forced. After that, I've still got a few transfers to build towards 37.
