In case you missed the announcement shortly before the lunchtime kick-off at Craven Cottage: the only two outstanding Premier League fixtures without a date have been rescheduled, slotting into Double Gameweek 37 as expected.

The matches in question are Brighton and Hove Albion v Manchester City and Manchester United v Chelsea, creating doubles for all four sides.

The other 16 top-flight teams only play once in Gameweek 37.

This follows an announcement on Thursday that Newcastle United v Brighton and Hove Albion now slots into Double Gameweek 36.

More reaction and analysis will follow in the coming days.

  • Brighton: Southampton (h) + Man City (h)

How is that gw33 WC? with gw34 BB idea

    *gw34 double

    DDG* Steele*
    TTA* Estupi* Akanji* Dalot* Tripp
    Salah* Rash* March* Grealish* Andreas*
    Haaland* Jota* Solanke

Would loose Watkins and Mings though..

already have triple :). Although if Sanchez takes Steele’s spot then it will be bad idea.

I wouldn't go double United at the back. There D was a complete shambles against Sevilla with DDG and Maguire having dreadful games.

My transfers for the rest of the season will be, unbelievably, dictated by whether Steele is first choice keeper or nor.

When are we gonna find out?

Planning a little bit ahead..for DGW 34, which option is best to start provided no injuries-

A Watkins ( Away to utd)
    B Burn ( home Soton)
    C Henry ( home Forest)
D Watkins to Jota -4 and start Jota

    Kepa, Steel**
    Shaw**, Trippier, Estupiñán**, Burn, Mee
    Rashford**, Mitomo,**Grealish**, Saka, Martinelli
    Haaland**, Watkins, Kane

Is bringing in Salah and TAA the right approach here (will TC Haaland in DGW34) ?

GW33 Kane and Grealish/Saka/Martinelli to Salah and Solanke
    GW34 Mee to TAA

If so which mid do I lose to get Salah

    A) Grealish
    B) Saka
    C) Martinelli

Currently ranked around 400th in the world. How is this for a Wildcard team?

    Ederson
    Dias, Dunk, TAA
    Salah, Rashford, March, Mitoma, Martinelli
    Haaland, Jota

    Iverson, Trippier, Botman, Greenwood

This leaves 1.9m in the bank. May then swap Jota to Isak/Wilson before Newcastles double in GW36

    Thanks

    Thanks a lot

I am torn between going Grealish or Dias for the third Man City. I am a bit worried about rotation with Foden back in the mix. I am hoping Dias is more nailed on but who knows!

How about Shaw instead of Dias , that frees up the city spot plus leaves a little cash in the bank

Yes good suggestion. I might do that and swap Martinelli to Grealish. I will see if Arsenal get anything against Man City. I will probably activate this for GW34

    Bottomed!

Morning all, how about this wildcard

    Ederson - Iversen
    TAA - Shaw - Trippier - Estupinian - Toti
    Salah - Grealish - Rashford - March - Mitoma
    Haaland - Jota - Isak

    0.4 ITB

    So 3 MC, 3 Liverpool, 3 Toon, 3 BHA and 2 United - 0 arsenal
Have also got a FH left

    Anything missing?

I'm not 100% sold on Jota with potential for rotation at 'pool (not that he's giving Klopp any reason to not start him). That said, it's a similar move to me.

Alternatively downgrade Kane to fodder and use the funds to upgrade elsewhere ahead of 34 and 37?

    Saka, Martinelli & Ødegaard --> KDB, Mac Allister & March (-8) ?

    Gives me:

    Ederson
    TAA - Trippier - Castagne
Salah - KDB - Mitoma - Mac Allister - March
    Haaland - Watkins

    (Alisson, Shaw, Tarkowski, Gnonto)

I could go Ederson but I’ve gone off the idea lately.

Plan would be to do Mings to whoever looks most nailed in 34 to give me three City and have the money for any of them.

I am doubting Alisson too after the last 2. GK is really tough to pick.

Yes tough choice between the DGW keepers
Ederson is expensive and bought me no pts earlier.
I wouldnt dlb up on Liverpool defence

Ideally Steele would be nailed and I’d be happy to play him most weeks.

If I was confident he would start I’d just get a 4.5 alongside him.

The more I tinker on FPL Team, I realised I can do Chilwell to Trent for a hit if I downgrade my bench keeper to 3.8 fodder.

Might just eat the hit and save the stress.

Best route to Salah? May do this week (but 2 transfers is a hit) or next.

    A. Kane -> £9.1m forward (Jota or one of the Newcastle lads) and have a benching headache.
    B. Watkins -> £5.1m (basically a fodder pick).
    C. Rashford -> £4.5m mid
    D. Grealish -> £4.7m mid

I am thinking A and probably next week for free currently. Fancy Kane to grab something at United

Don't think I would downgrade a mid, those spots are priceless for the DGW. Do you want to rotate Jota/Isak with Watkins? Otherwise maybe you could just go all the way from Kane to bench fodder in A if you have any other use for the funds

Sounds good. The only thing is I'm still a bit concerned about Isak starting twice in DGW36. Seems like the Newcastle fans here (Hairy Potter for one) expect that if he starts today, Wilson will start at Everton. And in 36 it would be huge blow if he sits out Leeds. I'm kind of wondering whether to pivot to Jota instead (although the same thing could happen...)

Yeah that's the worry. And I guess with both Wilson and Isak having fitness issues, got to imagine a cameo is assured - although both have shown they can still return from a cameo

It's a Saturday early / Thursday late turn around in 36 and they don't play until Monday in 37 so not bad turnarounds for someone starting all 3. I guess worry is do you go Jota and hope you get 2x fixtures in 34 and then look at Isak or Wilson as a later move

Good point. Maybe its worth a shot then... I'll have a look at some ways to accommodate both

Probably A and bench Watkins in 34 and a Brighton attacker in 35.

I'm in a similar dilemma, will sell saka for salah & downgrade kane for someone who would allow Chilwell to TAA in 34
Might need someone who rotates well with Brighton players

Its weird, almost feels better to downgrade to fodder and save the headache.

So true, carrying 8 genuine attackers feels weird, might just get fodder & go 3-5-2 otherwise somehow end up benching the player who scores most points

Best way to get TAA for DGW34:
    A - Trippier > TAA
    B - White + Odegaard > TAA + Andreas (-4)

      Or going without TAA

    Steele
    Estu Chilwell Trip
    Grealish Rashford Bruno Mitoma
    Haaland Watkins Kane

    Kepa Martinelli Shaw White

    A) Save FT
    B) Kane > 4.0, Mart > Salah -4 play 3-5-2

I was set on saving FT but if I’m getting TAA and Salah next gw for -4, why not get one of them this week?

So who scores more this week…

        A) Kane + 4
        B) Salah

I can see Kane scoring Vs United so Salah probably needs two returns to match him

    Whatcha reckon?

    A) Save FT
    B) Ake -> Stones
    C) Saka -> Mahrez

    Kepa
    Trippier, Estupinan, Ake
    Saka, Rashford, Bruno, Mitoma
    Haaland, Watkins, Kane

    Raya, March, Shaw, Mee
    Bank 0.7m, 1FT, no chips

no matter how many he scores, I am not going to go Mahrez ever in FPL again. Learnt some costly lessons!

      Option A.

The fact Silva, Gundo, Grealish and KDB all were saved minutes suggests Pep will revert to the Champ league line-up for Arsenal too. And I am a disgruntled Mahrez owner myself. Wouldn’t go near him.

What's the deal with Foden now? Is he back? I was expecting him to displace Mahrez by GW34 so I hadn't considered him at all

I think he’s back fit, but it seems like Grealish and Mahrez are the current favourites, so expect them to start most games when fit

Im sticking with Haaland and Grealish in attack as there are just too many options. These two seem most secure.

Probably not - more of a long term move if Ake is confirmed out of the 34DGW as I’d want someone for that. This week I guess Shaw can cover Ake if he’s out.

This is absolutely the reason why you go A. 2FT is more powerful - no point wasting one on a 2 pointer and risking need of a hit if your plans changed next week

        2. Arteta
          • 10 Years

I would save FT, reassess situation next GW and just start Mee. Brentford are better than Chelsea and I wouldn't be surprised if they stop them from scoring.

    Kepa

    Haaland Kane Isak

    Raya Olise Botman Henry

    A. Save FT
    B. Kane > Jota
    C. Kane > Watkins

Do you know what you want to do with the other FT before 34? If not maybe roll just to give yourself more options with the Kane funds. Also I suspect Darwin might get a start at WHU

Got full plan until GW37, which you know well will change 😛 key question is Kane to go now (mun) or GW34. Grealish in 34 from Kane’s money for 8 DGWs, if Kane>Jota then 9 DGWs plus Trippier and Raya.

I think I'd leave Kane one more week if he's playing Maguire & Lindelof, especially with the midweek game for Liverpool looking like an opportunity for Klopp to deliver on his promise to give Darwin some mins

Of course. It's GW33 and for some reason people are still underestimating Martinelli, the man in insane form and the highest scoring midfielder in the game.

Thoughts on what to do to maximise DGW34 players?

    1 FT 0.9 ITB
    Raya Iversen
    Trippier Botman Shaw Chilwell Estupinan
    Mitoma March Odegaard Rashford Bruno
    Haaland Kane Watkins

I think I will do it anyway but interested in people's thoughts. salah to kdb for free. i play fh34 gw34 and I want kdb for game v leeds (gw35). i dont have haaland so move for gw35 is kane to haaland and dont want to take a hit to get kdb. think I m making a mistake?

Just be aware that Real Madrid comes right after Leeds (35), Sat-Tues turnaround and away in the 1st leg. So thats the big rotation-risk game. I'm very interested in KDB too but would probably just get him for 33-4 (and in addition to Salah & Haaland for me)
