Man Utd v Chelsea team news: Rashford on the bench

Thursday night sees Gameweek 37 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) come to a conclusion, as Manchester United host Chelsea at Old Trafford. A point for Erik ten Hag’s side will secure UEFA Champions League qualification for next season.

Kick-off is at 20:00 BST.

Whilst the match is on, Andy North and arch-rival Greyhead will be chatting about their teams and the week’s biggest talking points over on our YouTube channel in another exclusive video for Premium Members of Fantasy Football Scout.

As for the team news, Man Utd are unchanged from the side that started their 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday. That means Marcus Rashford returns as a substitute, having missed the past two games through injury and illness.

Meanwhile, Frank Lampard makes three changes from Sunday’s defeat at Manchester City, as Carney Chukwuemeka, Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk come in for Thiago Silva, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Raheem Sterling, who isn’t even on the bench.

Joao Felix, however, has recovered from the minor injury that forced him to drop out of the matchday squad last weekend and starts as a sub.

      I have the same deficit which is annoying because it was very tight before DDG conceded and Bruno & Rashford scored. Realistically I think it’s too much, but an unusual captaincy choice is the only chance probably.

      Go with your instinct, put out your strongest team, and don't watch FPL channels because they will make you change your own mind and they get it wrong a lot of the time.

    How has Hall for Chelsea got the 3 bonus points, he let in 4 goals, no goals or assists? Also, how was Bruno not given the assist for Rashford's goal?

      Bruno did not assist Rashford's goal as his initial shot was saved by Kepa and he scored the rebound.

      Hall isn't responsible for the goals he let in as he's not a defender.

          Hall is classed as a midfielder in the game, so it doesn't matter what he played (search "out of position" on this site for further reference).

          Had Rashford scored right off Bruno's pass, Bruno would have gotten the assist. He did not, so he did not. Look at it this way: had Rashford's shot been saved and Fred tapped it in, Rashford would have gotten the assist in that scenario because his shot caused the save and the rebound. Rashford can't get an assist for his own goal, so nobody gets the assist.
