Very possible Liverpool start a front three of Diaz-Gakpo-Salah and you're mudded right away.

I've been watching this team for days and can't find anything wrong. Can someone convince me otherwise?

    Pickford (Areola)
    TAA Stones Gabriel (Henry,Baldock)
    Rashford Saka Foden Mitoma Mbeumo
    Haaland Jesus (Mubama)

It's super safe. Will probably be very close to the highest EO combination GW1.

Only question marks for me here are Rashford (I like Bruno more), and if Trent is worth his price tag.

      Looks really good

Bruno and Estupinan the ones missing .... but obviously having them would mean no TAA who I assumee you want

I've got Chilwell over TAA and spent a bit more in mid nut same thought process

I’m not sure Wissa not starting tonight means too much. Few sides start each friendly with the same eleven. It’s all about rotating and trying different things. Frank probably just wants to give Schade a go from the off to have a good look at him.

    Manchester United are so creative.
First they try to replicate what Liverpool have with VVD and TAA so they go buy Maguire and AWB.
Now they want to replicate Haaland so they buy the Wish version

Heard this joke before but I think this kid looks ok/good. There aren't many Haalands in the market that would want to go to Man U. He has potential and is better than Martial and Wegshite.

I don't really get the Haaland comparisons apart from his size and the fact he's from the Nordic area. From what I've read and seen, he seems more someone that wants to link up with and draw in those around him, although he is still a striker so he will obviously hang around the box. Maybe I've gotten the wrong impression

When the Arsenals fixture turn who are you going to replace, who is more likely going to go up/down in price?

Jesus is easier to a 3-5-2 oddly, but i am torn too. As Jesus could become Nunez/Nku quite easily, whereas Martinelli is more explosive than Jesus

I would guess atm that Jota (for his pressing), and Nunez are ahead of Gapko and Luiz ATM.

    Diaby vs Mbeumo
    Who take the 6.5£ spot?

    1. Sure You Did

      3 years, 1 month ago

You know what, I actually prefer Diaby and Villa. For me, Mitoma and Diaby could well be the best 6.5 MIDs, I have neither, full transparency.

      1. Crunchie
        • 8 Years
        3 years, 1 month ago

If Palace can get Olise fit, quickly then Mitoma to Eze is easy (parden the pun) switch, but Diaby is a big signing. Villas fixtures are not that bad to start with. Depends if you are half empty and half glass full

    2. Crunchie
      • 8 Years
      3 years, 1 month ago

      Diaby for me

I think Zophar has missed the three good games Villa have in the first 6, and then go on a good run, where as Brentford are good at the start, but they will miss Toney big time. Raya and a lack of Toney, Brentford are a 14th/15th placed team IMO.

    3. Lieutenant Frank Columbo

Diaby. I’m more tempted by picking players from the better teams and I think Villa will be better than Brentford this season.

Haven't seen any love for Zinchenko in teams.

Most seem to be picking Gabriel or Saliba.

Is it because of the injury history last season?

I have him on my team at the moment.

    1. Sure You Did

Rotation/minutes risk and a complete sick note. I actually don't like any Arsenal defender and have none. If I had to pick, would be Gabriel or Saliba though but I think there are better options out there

        I see.

When fit, I don't think Zinchenko is a rotation risk. For me he's well ahead of Tierney.

I've had him since the start too. If he can stay fit and nail the spot, he'd offer decent attacking returns and definitely be an "inverted" option if Aeteta ever decides to try that like everyone else seems to be doing now.

Zinchenko would invert to a DM allowing the midfield more freedom forward. Doesn’t scream returns and he can’t pass like TAA.

The impression I'm getting from Arsenal fans is that they have a lot options there now (Timber/Tierney/Kiwior) who all offer something slightly different for various tactical inflections, so Zinc might not be so nailed

Here's my opinion on the Trent & Salah question
It's probably best to start with both
This is because if they start well it would be very difficult to get them both without playing wildcard or taking hits .
You can pick a decent starting 11 with both
But bench options would be fodder
Also if one or both under perform downgrading would be easy

Haaland has 7 red (4 rated fixtures ) 2 against Liverpool
Salah covers the other 5 so a good captaincy alternative
The first one being in g/w 2 @ home to Bournemouth

    2. GPV
      • 9 Years

I find the team ends up too unbalanced with both (if one has Haaland too).

Here's my decent team with Salah , Trent & Haaland
        Pickford/Areola
        Gabriel/Estupinian/Shaw/Trent /Baldock
        Saka/Mbeumo/Salah/Rashfor/Anderson
        Haaland/Archer/McAtee
Like I said bench is a bit weak & playing 541
So I'll be on the lookout for decent 4 or 4.5 playing options

    3. Bushwhacker
      • 7 Years

Honestly with Chelsea up first Liverpool are a wait and see for me. Salah and Haaland spreads it all too thin, TAA’s role is still to be determined.

  16. GPV
    • 9 Years
    3 years, 1 month ago

I took TAA out of my team and was able to improve a number of areas, especially up top.

    Onana Pickford
    Stones Estu Zinch Henry Baldock
    Bruno Saka Mitoma March Mad
    Haaland Nkunku Darwin

    0 ITB

With TAA I had Wissa and fodder up top.

    Some notes:

    - Maddison could become Rich, yet to be decided.
    - Nkunku/Darwin undecided still. Could do Jesus and downgrade mid.
    - March is undecided. Had Eze but I'm more interested in Diaby... I was thinking maybe double Brighton against Luton and get Diaby in GW2.

    Any thoughts appreciated

Where's Mbeumo playing in this formation? On the left?

Up top I think, as Wissa's on bench.

Yeah, just put the game on... He was on the left flank there for a while.

Interesting, is Schade partnering him or wide? Saw a few Brentford fans saying they expected him to challenge for the spot up front while Toney is out

Think he's left of the front three, but with licence to drift inside when Brentford get possession.

Schade is the one who is staying central.

    Onana/Areola
    Estupinan/Gabriel/Tarkowski/Botman/Beyer
    Saka/Foden/Grealish/Bruno/Mitoma
    Jesus/Haaland/Nkunku

This is draft 4 after removing TAA. Based on how they start may switch Nkunku to Nunez or Jackson. But most likely to stick with this for 2 GWs
