Lots of different motivations for playing that differ from yours.

Some find the game, give it a whirl.

Many join into a proxy gamble sweepstake in counties were sports gambling is illegal. They might have a go in November and February. You see it in the hits which doesn't count, just a high score from a given day or weekend.

Should just make deadline kick off of first game like many other leagues. Fantasy Football Scotland have done it for this season. If you are in unfriendly time zone at least you know if you wake up 15 minutes before deadline you can make your transfer rather than currently waiting for leaks

Think Son is going to have a monster season. Big Ange is suggesting he may play him centrally up-front when Kane goes. He still scored 14 goals last year playing injured with a hernia, for most of last season, but that's been fixed now. Son always delivered when Kane was out in the past. Think Son is going to be a mainstay in my team this season
