Woke up today and realized a commited a TUI yesterday (Transfers Under the Influence). A reminder to all of you to never go to the transfers section once you've had a bit on a Friday night.

Spending my only FT on Colwill -> Gusto does not look pretty in the morning. No way to get Sterling now

So you drunkenly got Gusto and are upset because sober you cant get sterling.

Sounds like you arent rational whether sober or not

If i were rational, would i spend my weekends hoping that a virtual team based on real-life football players performs better than the teams of other friends of mine?

There should be a separate league for drunk people. Like bodybuilding

It’d be more fun. Mbeumo to Pepe; Haaland to Lukaku, the possibilities are endless

A bit like Andy Cole, well at Newcastle at least, he seems to prefer to get the ball facing the goal, rather than fired at him from out of defence

He's actually really comfortable running in from behind, from balls booted up to him. It's one of his strengths.

Fernandes and Pedro will have to go this week I think

Sadly 0.1 short of Sterling and Jackson, unless I do e.g. Richarlison to 6.5 or Mbeumo for a hit

So I think it comes down to
    (A) Sterling Richarlison Wissa
    (B) Mbeumo Rich Jackson
    (C) Sterling Mbeumo Jackson -4

No doubt something will happen today to ruin this plan

Only issue for me is the same issue with any keeper rotation, you'll often end up missing the hauls. Who would have benched Turner at home to Sheffield Utd for Areola playing Chelsea last week?

It’s not always about looking at the stats. Sterling has been passing the eye test and looks like he could trouble anyone. The way he weaves and his speed in and around the box will cause trouble. At the very least he can draw a penalty.

Yes. Just saw he’s already got 30% + ownership so another case of a relative differential in the community but not the game at large (like Salah)

Might end up doubling on the Newcastle defence if they look solid from there

unsure at 6.5m with other teams with good fixtures like Aston Villa (GW5 to GW12)
      Chelsea (GW3 to GW8)
Man U (GW6 to GW13) just GW10 against Man City on paper tough especially if they promise stars to yield points

International Break not sure if any injuries plus squads should then be settled after transfer window closes

    • 10 Years

I saw yesterday's hot topic, but this article is even more important. It sums up the manager's thoughts, gives a bigger picture, and gives more information: https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/23748881.roberto-de-zerbi-explains-evan-ferguson-faces-west-ham/

Asked why his young Irishman starts for the first time this season, De Zerbi said: “Because Ferguson deserves to play. He is another very important player for us. He didn’t start in the first two games. And I want to give Joao Pedro time to understand better the style of play. Ferguson knows very well our style. He has been playing with the team for a year.”

De Zerbi said he wants more than goals from Ferguson. He added: “He has to score a lot of goals because he is a striker and should not forget the goal. But, in the same way, he also he has to improve with the ball, in ball possession, to build up because, if we are under strong pressure, he has to help the team to play. I would like him to become No.10 with the ball and No.9 in the last 20, 30 metres.”

I would 100% do that having watched the matches so far and knowing what Son’s strengths are.

In fact, I would bench Richarlison, Perisic left wing and Son up top.

    2. Alan The Llama
      • 16 Years

That's probably what they need. Imagine trying to convince Richarlison to move from the central position though.

Personally I think he’s better on the left but he can play anywhere across the front 3. He was down the left when he first arrived at Watford. I think that’s the best I’ve seen from him

I agree entirely, I doubt very much that he does. He's waited to play centrally for a long time and I suspect he would consider a move back to the wing as a demotion.

Not sure that's going to happen. Doesn't look anything like a natural goalscorer. He's got a case of Theo Walcott syndrome.

Bruno going regardless what he does this week. Best replacement?

    A: Bowen
    B: Sterling
    C: Diaz
    D: someone else(8.9 itb)

    Have Maddison, Saka, Martinelli, Rashford

He looked good first 2 GWs tbf and know some punters who went for him. Think he'll flourish under Poch. Though personally strongly considering Bowen who I think will have a good season.

This season I will write down 3 close calls before every GW begins. I will then go back after the GW finished and look at them. Bad decision( Why) or unlucky and track my success rate. (Some decision will need more than 1 GW to be rated good or bad)Think this could improve my play.

    GW3
    1) Start Pedro over Maddison
    2) Bring in Jackson over Alvarez
    3) Bring in Foden over Mbuemo
