I do hope FPL introduce my unlimited transfers fixed prices second game next year.
FPL is great...the temptation to shape your team with FOMO is a real factor and impacts so many managers. In the early days prices were so volatile that early hits were much more commonplace, it's a much more patient game these days and doesn't lend itself well to the obsessed.
They should just scrap free transfers or maybe increase the cost of each transfer
You can make a killing on team value if you play the market though. Especially if you predict future trends. This FOMO guff is just another youtuber FPL creation.
In reality it just means that the majority are risk adverse and follow the crowd - ie them.
I noticed for instance in watching a few recently there seems to be the assumption that most have a city defender and are playing 3-5-2. But I immediately see that as giving me an edge as I go with 3-4-3 and three City attackers.
Because I predict by around gw6 they will all be telling everyone 3-4-3 is the way to go Isak etc.

I am actually tempted by losing mitoma and Odegaard for madison and sterling for a -4 rather than just doing ode > one of them
I think hits are riskier than usual due to how bunched in the ranks are. It could pay off of course, but you’re looking at a big red arrow before you start so not for me.
Hits are the same regardless of when you take them.

Skonto Rigga continues to embarrass the other Mods with a very healthy 195pts, enough to secure him position on the Tourney's front page and well within leaping distance across the moat and out of the Great Hall!
The People's Hero Lateriser12 is in 29th on 199pts, well ahead of the jousting FPL_Matthew (55th on 192pts), and Sir AZ the Tipsy (479th on 166pts). Those with more than 199pts can seriously consider a career in youtube content creation!

Saw a Newcastle Fan say he thinks Trippier will leave Estupinan a lot of space to attack.
But personally I think Newcastle will dominate the game, and Brighton won\t get a clean sheet. Because they have been 'found out'. If it was me I would start Udogie.

Rodri MPGXI this year so far is 236, vs. 358 last year. He's said he's allowed to get forward more because of Gundo not being there and Kovacic being next to him.
Feels more like Etienne Capoue than Yaya Toure at the moment but through sheer minutes alone he could still post a good score this year.

Also think he has a habit of scoring 'clutch' goals which helps early in the season when City aren't firing fully.

Watched MOTD and kept an eye on him, he's definitely still in and around the box a bit when City have lots of possession around it but is he getting forward in the manner that KDB or Gundogan did? I can't quite see it yet, he's not leading breaks forward or playing many through balls or racing up the field with counters. Still, he's always been fairly solid if you're happy to hold over a season and don't care about missing out on another City or that mid spot, will likely get a few more returns than usual. Unless I see a bit more though there are too many other options I'd much prefer to go with and to attack fixtures / form with

I was a victim of pep roulette by picking ever present Akanji and seeing him omitted from the squad and Foden for him to come off the bench. One positive of this, is that the there is a good chance after his week off resting that both will be back in the squad this week.
Word of warning or advice for all those asking the same questions over rashford, maddison et al... IB after this week, so 2 weeks to fester on squads and injuries to happen, advisable to save a transfer.
Think I am going to save though I posted below. Be good to have 2FT / A hit for 3 transfers over the IB given team is performing terribly

Baldock on my bench has Everton at home so wondering if I should not go with him instead of Disasi? Awoniyi seems to be on a scoring spree and Forest are looking better compared to last season.

I'd hold if you can't do March > Sterling.
Is the early wildcard a crazy thought? Need to chase ranks fast but realise its high risk. This would be the team after around 11 transfers.

Just realised Baldock was considered a rotation risk with Bogle during preseason then Bogle got injured. Bogle played 26 mins against city and scored.

I watched the West Ham game and I have to say, Brighton could easily have scored 2 or 3, don’t think the score line was a great reflection and mitoma was in all the right areas and getting chances
