Your team is kind of like mine and I hit the button.

I probably would because you'll want Son and your defense is a bit iffy. Holding off would only allow you one or two weeks more.

So sick of the game now. Can't do right for doing wrong. No word ALL week around a Sterling illness/injury and low and behold he's out. Massive differential at 11% and a potential striker tonight. But here we are, probably gonna get the waste of space subbed on for a 10min cameo along with a yellow card. FML

Same boat. New rule, it’s called no Chelsea. Reece James is on pens? Don’t care it’s Chelsea. Nkunku back fit and training well? Don’t care, it’s Chelsea. De Zerbi brought in as new manager? Thank you, not interested.

It's not awful at all - probably the only way you can two big guns in.

Bench is obviously weak and I'd like to see Watkins too.

    3. FFS ManU
      • 3 Years

Assume that you are playing 3-5-2. Only worth strengthening your defence if you reckon that rotating 3 from 4 will outscore the points potentially lost by swapping Bowen for JWP.

Defense is too thin for me.

This right here is proof that team value matters. I have money for Beyer + Kabore > Guehi + Zouma which would make this draft a whole lot more balanced and viable.

      1. FPL Sanky
        • 2 Years
        2 years, 5 months ago

With the lack of clean sheets nowadays, do you really think defense is too important? I mean if you can play 3 attacking defenders each week, then that should also work, shouldn't it? Obviously rotating defenders are always nice but I guess a good attack is more important than having 5 good defenders of which you will play only 3 each week

        1. FFS ManU
          • 3 Years

This. I'm playing 3-5-2 but without Salah currently, so I have a stronger bench. Your midfield could easily out outscore a slightly better defence.

I can get van de ven and Mitchell in place of Udogie and Beyer....that will strengthen my bench slightly....you think it's a good move??

Still fairly early in the season. Defences tend to settle later on in the season and get more clean sheets. Well, some do obviously.

High risk high reward scenario mate. Though I'd still stick with Haaland, as one hattie from him and your season is virtually over if you don't own him.

      I'm really considering it.

Haaland, Kabore, Mubama vs Trippier, Darwin, Watkins

It's interesting. If I did it, I'd keep a structure that's like this so I can revert to Haaland if I have to with a mini WC.

Yes but I'm forced to bench one of the front 8 which will likely mean Darwin, Alvarez, Diaby/Watkins sits every week.

        2. Nate(U)dog(ie)
          • 5 Years
          2 years, 5 months ago

Not going to be playing Kabore and Mubamba every week though so it's not exactly comparable. Spreading the money is risky as A) you're going to have points and money on the bench every week and B) getting back to Haaland can be very difficult if the money is spread over 4-6 more players

    3. Oooo Matron
      • 9 Years
      2 years, 5 months ago

It's difficult because Alvarez has done great, but feels very lucky. Watkins is the main man for Villa, whereas Alvarez individual class doing the business.

I think Haaland is actually putting up best numbers, he'll bang soon

Yeah I will mate you are right, I can get Salah by doing Tripper to Lascelles initially so I could chance getting this week and maybe Palace at home out of him and then have to frees to free up some funds to upgrade Lascelles the week after to Botman if he’s back then

      A. If both stay fit Salah will probably outscore Trippier over the rest of the season. Timing is key in FPL - if you manage to milk all of Trippier's current point-scoring streak before switching then you will end up with the most combined points.

I'd dump Sterling. Foden's not ideal in the wide position Pep plays him, but aside from the virus benching today, Sterling's on a rudderless squad. As for Udogie and Porro, Porro's stats seem to be better, but I don't see the same distance between them as I do Foden/Sterling.

Managers should take this perspective more often. I'm keeping Haaland personally, but I'm also deliberately making unsound decisions (i.e., however many hits I feel like) for fun, both to experiment and to give myself more of a rooting interest each weekend.

I’m beginning to think going with Salah and Haaland on WC was a bad idea.
Really does hamstring you with players like Saka,Maddison,Trippier and Watkins doing well.

This is why I’m Salah less yes he will bang but the two replacements can bang as well.

I prefer A overall. Your midfield is great, doesn't need Salah. Trippier's a nice bonus, and Watkins has better fixtures coming up (but Alvarez is totally fine).

Yeah hard to ignore Saka too. I could have Alvarez over Watkins and keep money in the bank too

I'd say Watkins/Alvarez is nearly a coin flip, and money in the bank is pretty great, particularly with the IB coming up.

I’m really struggling this season. 5.6m
    Wild Card used.
    Areola
    Udogie,Estupinian,Cash
    Salah,Son,JWP,Mbeumo,Diaby
    Haaland,Alvarez

    Flekken,Edouard*,Reguilon,Botman*

Did Rashford > Son before both price changes.
1FT remaining. Hold it or move an injured player?

I think Edouard will be fit for GW8 based on Hodgson's last presser. I own him as well so hoping for good news.

Regulion to Palace defender, maybe Mitchell. Anderson if you can afford then you can bench Estupinan. You could hold Botman depending how bad his knee is. If he is not nack after the IB then perhaps do him to Gabriel from GW9.

Thanks, I Hope Edouard is back. Was good with JWP.
I’ve actually thought about your suggestion or going Porro and having double Spurs defence. Blocks Maddison though, although tough to get in with my structure.

Yes, Porro looks like a real good option. Got him in this week. Not sure about Spurs double defence though. Udogie also looks like a yc magnet.

Rage wildcarded this week after 30 points being stuck with eze, mbuemo etc and having the worst start to fantasy in 10 years.

    Current WC:

    Areola / Turner
    Trips Udogie Cash Saliba (Kabore)
    Diaby Saka Maddy Son Bowen
    Hauland Watkins (Archer)

    Option B:
    Areola / Turner
    Schar Udogie Cash Burn (Kabore)
    Diaby Salah Son Saka Gordon
    Hauland Alvarez (Archer)

If A I probably could have got away without WC but still had some deadwood to shift so no regrets

Which option do you prefer? Leaning towards A as team seems more balanced, spurs and Watkins have good fixtures and can get in trips but going without Salah is scary. Cheers in advance!

Do really have to ask just hit players by form & A is romping ahead.
How far off Watkins are you?

      Kabore to Taylor +.1
Saliba to Gaby or Coufal +.6

Diaz has higher xGI than Diaby but lower than Maddison and Bowen, even Mitoma.

Both A players still heavily involved in European competitions as well, so don't have that advantage either

Trying to choose a GK on a WC and happy to hear some thoughts:

    - Leno with great saves % but price already went up a bit and fixtures looking really tough, would you be happy to relay on mostly on the save points?

    - Raya, Arsenal great for GA but not many shoots here and fixtures probably not ideal from the CS perspective, his passing helps with BPS, is he worth the money tho?

    - Areola doing pretty good with the saves and WH ain’t that bad in terms of GA, fixtures are ok and price helps here as well, go to one?

    - Johnstone, I’m surprised that he looks pretty good from the % saves perspective but doesn’t have many of them, also CP not conceding a lot, fixtures are not bad but somehow uninspiring pick?

    - Neto good with saves and fixtures but Cherries probably a no go?

    - Kinda don’t believe in Sanchez, Flekken, etc…

Yet anyone to consider from the 4ish?
