Not quite sure what to do with Saka now. Happy to hold if he'll make next week but doubt we'll know about that even next Friday if he misses this weekend and midweek. Perhaps a bigger issue is not knowing how long Saliba will miss because Saka's threat and involvement severely declined in his absence last season with Holding predominantly playing out to the left. If we have a similar scenario now then I won't want to keep him

We're all just guessing I suppose but the bit about "train[ing] to be ready for Chelsea" may imply that he's fairly close & could be back next week if not this week? Think I'd be inclined to stick for now if I still owned him & had a decent 1st sub

I'll definitely hold for now and agree those comments are promising, would be silly to sell before next week too. But long-term I'd be worried if Saliba isn't back soon

I just feel Arteta's comments on him are a bit too vague, not too sure on it. Will definitely hold Saka this week but of anything comes out about Saliba missing for a while then I'll have to see how things look

You have saliba in your team too I take it. Sorry your the Arsenal man. Lol . All I am interested in is if Palace can get an amazing 4 clean sheets in a row (and how Franca gets on).

It will be Franca, Eduoard with a back 9 of Ayew, Lerma. Hughes, Doucoure Ward Andersen Guehi Mitchell and Johnstone

No I don't actually! But when he got injured last year it made a huge difference to Saka, Saliba is superb at defending of course but he's also brilliant on the ball and can pass in every direction, links up well with Odegaard and Saka generally

I think Saliba will be fine, that sounded like an 'international break' injury to me. Even if he's out it'll be Kivior or Tomiyasu in, both of whom have a decent range of passing and are a lot better than Holding

I am keeping and starting. Think Arteta had to take him out of the lime light. If any of his many problems when it comes to his niggles were that serious, he would have been out long term already. He is training. Even Arteta mentioned training hard to be ready for Chelsea.

Is that really a sign of a player struggling to start games? Unless Arteta is being Arteta of course.

Training can be solo training, could simply be non-ball work in the gym. Depending on injuries some can be doing that for weeks
before rejoining squad training and being fit to play

Team in free fall, down to 4m OR. Any advice appreciated here lads, 1FT 1.4m ITB:

    A) Roll FT
    B) Estupiñán to Tsimikas
    C) Saka to Martinelli
    D) other

    Areola (Leno)
    Cash Udogie Schar (Kabore Estupiñán**)
    Son Saka* Maddison Mbeumo Diaz
    Haaland Watkins (Archer)

Poor bench is the worry if Saka out…

Archer has a top fixture, don’t worry!! Seriously though, unless you know more than everyone else I wouldn’t sell Saka. It makes sense to get rid of Estu. I’m not sure whether Tsimikas is the answer though. Possibly Coufal or Gabriel although neither have appealing fixtures this week.

I wouldn't sell Saka and this is otherwise a solid team. Do you have a plan for the cash ITB? If you're thinking of Trippier or Salah at some point then I'd roll - a fit Saka and Estupinan from GW10 (fingers crossed) are great picks.

I think save the FT or wait for leaks before bringing in Tsimi. Klopp likes giving youngsters a run and is talking about him in the press.

Yes, not worth the risk to sell a player that can play this GW to someone not confirmed available

Sterling often bring only two points. He is a very frustrating player. I know this because I had him.

Saka is a risk to start. If he start, he will be probably not in topform.

Maybe Bowen, Maddison or Neto are better choices.

Neto is 1.2 cheaper that Sterling. He have 43 points and Sterling 45.

Agreed - was always intending to shift Sterling this week. I have Maddison and JWP.

Neto might be a good shout, as I could then do Saka+Salah for Son+Maddy for -4 in GW10

Klopp mentioned that Gakpo have only trained once, that might indicate one of Darwin/Diaz starts as Klopp usually doesn't play players with only one training after injury.
My guess is Darwin starts, as Diaz played at high altitude in the last game.

    1. FOO FIGHTER
      • 6 Years

Liverpool are playing at home so no up and down packing having to travel to Wolves again. If anything, I would be worried about Diaz starting as both Gapko and Jota can play down the left. Salah and Darwin have incredible link up play.

      Plus Nunez is in form.

Both Nunez and Diaz could be benched of course but I think a double up with Salah and Nunez could be gold.
