Our Members Videos continue with another installment ahead of the Gameweek 10 deadline.

This week, it’s a goalkeeper special as David Munday examines the best men between the sticks.

As managers play the Wildcard in their droves this Gameweek, it has never been more important to assess which is the best shot-stopper combination, especially with so many highly-owned assets disappointing of late.

David uses the lesser-known elements of the Season Ticker and a deep-dive into the defensive numbers of every Premier League team, as well as some niche numbers reflecting a goalkeeper’s ability to make important saves, to find the answers you need.

The video is available to watch via the embedded link below.

There was also a live Q&A earlier today if you’re in the mood for more visual offerings, plus a whole host of other content in the Gameweek 10 playlist.

    It comes down to this...
    A) essentially Maddison out for Watkins -4
    B) Mbeumo to Diaby or Mitoma (no hit)

    If B then;
    1) Mitoma
    2) Diaby

Apologies for asking about this a few times, I just can't make my mind up!

    2. Feed tha Sheep
      3 years, 6 days ago

Tough one- B is a better transfer but I would prefer Watkins. But losing Maddison for him for a -4 I don’t know if it’s a good idea (I haven’t really been much help sorry)

      1. Kay317
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        3 years, 6 days ago

I have had the same thoughts, I'd need Watkins to outscore Maddison and Mitoma/Diaby by an extra 4 points for it to pay off. He may well do that but it's a gamble. I also feel like there's more flexibility in having a 5 strong playing midfield. Way more options. Just hurts every time Watkins scores!

    3. Valar(Keith)
      3 years, 6 days ago

Have the exact same dilemma. Going B 2 since no Watkins

      1. Kay317
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        3 years, 6 days ago

Only reason I have Diaby on there is because I fear having no villa attack for the next 3. Problem is I haven't seen much at all of Diaby/villa games so don't even know if he passes the eye test (as Mitoma does every week).
Kinda hoping Watkins will decline now or at least Alvarez keeps up with him to an extent.

I do have Son. I will probably keep him long term unless he really drops off.
Another concern of getting Watkins is that it would make getting Saka back in very difficult. You think that should be a factor here?

        1. VGD
          3 years, 6 days ago

I'm not getting Saka in. Was one of the Luiz owners last week too, but I still think Watkins is significant for the next few weeks at least

In a draft league, would you buy:

    A) Adingra

    B) Fati

    1. F4L
      3 years, 6 days ago

Fati, even with less minutes he's a goal scorer. Adingra isn't carrying that goal threat with multiple starts

      1. thobe230
        3 years, 6 days ago

Yeh I'm leaning towards Fati as well, 3 goals in his last 4 matches.

Only concern is he doesn't seem to be starting in the premier league.

There's a reason Darwin has only started one game in the prem. He's a donkey.
And Rashford would rather pass away before passing the ball. Rashford doesn't help my argument for Hojlund at all frankly...

          1. Sure You Did
            3 years, 6 days ago

Ah the he is a "donkey" rhetoric that people spout. Yes, there have been reasons he has only started 3 prem games (not 1 like you falsely claimed) and it is not because he is a "donkey". Pay closer attention. He also has 3 goals and 4 assists in 337 minutes.

Look, you are a Man U fan, I feel your pain. What a terrible team with an unproven striker up top getting absolutely nothing. If only you had Darwin up front instead of Holijund, he could have made an assist or at least got a goal.

Martial was washed a long time ago....So we picked up the a top 3 leading scorer in Euro Qualifiers sandwiched between Kane and Ronaldo. The village boy Darwin no where to be found on the international platform.

I hate to break it to you but there’s a reason you didn’t see Darwin among the too Euro Qualifiers scorers and it’s not because he’s rubbish.

Keep clinging onto that useless stat. The proof is in the pudding and Holijund has done NOTHING :). You are finally correct, Darwin is Uruguayan and therefore doesn't play in Euros. World Cup qualifiers, he has 2 goals and 3 assist in 298 minutes though.

    a) Saka and Maguire (1st bench)
    b) Martinelli and Udogie (1st bench)

Would you have no bench for dream midfield of Salah, Son, Saka and Bowen? Or have a good first bench and get Martinelli?

Maguire is not nailed though, will not leave me a good 1st bencher.
Saka worth that risk over Martinelli, thought Martinelli is coming back in form lately?

Martinelli plays better with Jesus, who is out injured. Nketiah doesn't give Martinelli the same chances

A good win. Ajax are poor but good to get their first win in Europe.

Got a son maddison bowen diaby bowen midfield,

looking to get saka in soon but don't have enough in the bank to do it without a downgrade, and not sure who of diaby and bowen to lose to do it.

Currently thinking leave it a gw or 2 and see how it goes before deciding who to downgrade, right decision?

Mitoma plays full game, people bringing him in this week? W/cers, people who’ve rolled transfers?

I know he's young and these footballers are fit as a fiddle but Brighton's schedule has got to be concerning. He hasn't returned that much lately but the fixtures are good for Brighton

      1. Gizzachance

Cheers my thoughts to, he did brace after recent benching, minutes have been good for him

Brighton's schedule is lighter than West Ham, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd, Newcastle due to going out of the League Cup. And we know for sure three of Arsenal/West Ham, Newcastle/Man Utd and Liverpool will be in the next round too.

He got a rest during the international break so he is one of the freshest plAyers at Brighton. He looks good to start right uptil GW 13 tbh.. post that it'll be a rotation minefield

The Son question is doing my head in

Do we think prices will rise tonight or is it just wildcards inflating the prices?

    Need to decide between
    A)Son + Gordon
    B)Saka + Mitoma

    1. GreennRed
      3 years, 6 days ago

      Wildcards don't impact prices.

    Concensus on Darwin?

    Start or benched on Sunday?

    1. Sure You Did
      3 years, 6 days ago

Start, he is first choice IMO. There are reasons for his minutes and they should be well understood to those that pay attention.

what reason is there for Darwin only starting 3 league games this season? That isn't first choice that is a striker who is part of a rotation system.

          3 years, 6 days ago

You have clearly not been paying attention, as my comment suggested.
