That sinking feeling when you own every player in the headline, but then again they could all start.

Can I please get your early feedback on this team?

    Areola
    Trippier Porro Coufal
    Salah Son Saka Bowen Diaby
    Watkins Alvarez

    3.9 Archer Taylor Branthwaite - 1 FT, 3.0M ITB

I'm thinking I need to bring Haaland back and captain this GW, or do I stick to the initial plan and bring him back in GW16 for Luton?

    A) Watkins & Alvarez > Haaland & Osula -4pts (play Archer)
    B) Watkins & Trippier > Haaland & 4.4m def (Lascelles/Veltman/Toti) -4pts
    C) Diaby > Martinelli
    D) smth else?

Is this bench OK for the Christmas period we reckon or would you aim to strengthen? Will have plenty of priorities elsewhere so may try to get away with it..

I have 2FT's, need to wait on news regarding Mitoma and Bowen, but I was thinking of replacing Cash and Alvarez or Watkings to fodder in prep for Haaland return.

      A. Cash > Fodder
      B. Cash > City Defender

      Johnstone
      Gabriel | Guehi | Cash
      Saka | Bowen | Salah | Son | Mitoma

Weird comment: "it is probably a little too early (for him to play) but it is not a career-threatening injury"

I don't know if this is dry Norwegian humour but of course, being almost ready to play and a career-threatening injury are opposite ends of the spectrum.

I would start to worry that there is more to this than meets the eye and Norway are trying to deflect from the fact that, let's face it, an expensive player from a top team has got injured playing for them. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if he were out for an extended period. Unlikely, but possible.

I've just been trying to figure out if its a dodgy translation but can't actually find anything that looks analogous to "career-threatening" (my Norwegian is fairly basic, mind).

The quotes in this article - https://www.dagbladet.no/sport/haaland-spadom/80539675 - all seem fairly innocuous, like "its under control, nothing to worry about except that he can't play tomorrow.... he will be playing in the PL before long"

The quote means: The injury is not severe, but he has enough pain and reduced mobility that the Scotland match comes too soon.", was the message from National team doctor Ola Sand.

«Skaden er ikke alvorlig, men han har såpass mye smerter og noe innskrenket funksjon at Skottland-kampen dessverre kommer litt for tidlig», var beskjeden fra landslagslege Ola Sand.
