It's pathetic that the Premier League have not announced what the decision is about the Bournemouth v Luton game by now. It is almost certain that they will order the full game to be replayed on a future date next year so they should just announce that, even if the actual date is to be confirmed.on FA Cup

I understand that they needed to avoid rushing an announcement until more was known about the condition of the Luton player (I am not naming out of respect), but the club have announced that he is stable so it's time for the work of the league and the clubs to continue.

There will need to be communications with local council, police and both clubs to rearrange a appropriate date if the fixture will have fans

If it’s closed doors playing the final 30 mins then there it’s a quicker turnaround but if they are playing the full fixture again it can take months of discussions to ensure the correct date is in place

Forget FPL, having an outstanding fixture affects the the 2 clubs and, eventually, other ones depending upon how they are placed.

Can FPL have two live GWs at the same time or will they have to close GW17 before they open 18? If the PL haven't made an official announcement before the GW18 deadline then they might need to make the call on what happens to the points accrued last weekend.

Gonna be the other way around.
Unless a board decides 1-1 is the final result within the next 20 hours I think FPL will scrape the fixture, collect the points and throw the bgw-players to the benches.

I don't think there is bad blood between Andy and FFS, is there?

Sometimes it just makes sense to move, especially when more money is involved.

I did however find it a bit odd he changed. Unexpected. But no doubt hub basically gave him a blank cheque, realising how many users he will draw.

Most people have to choose between a scout membership or a hub membership. If you look at Google trends, scout lost a lot of market share at the start of the season when Andy and Micah Richards started to endorse the hub.

Andy has really been pushing their rate my team system. You need to be a member to see the suggested moves. I am not a member. Those scores seem to reinforce peoples picks, and they like it. Its something FFS should look at next season, updating their RMT tool and really pushing it.

Can't see what he said, but it's an obvious non-assist given the rules. The corner was going near post, and the defender's touch made it go to the far post. I own Saka, btw.

Maybe they should change the rules so that assist goes to the last player on the attacking team to touch the ball before the goal scorer unless a player on the defending team has clear possession. But those aren't the current rules.

Alvarez must be running on fumes. If Haaland didn't get injured, I'm sure Alvarez was getting rested. I actually took him out that week anticipating the benching, then Haaland got injured ffs so he has kept playing.

With Haaland not in the squad today, should i do
    1. Archer to Solanke ( won’t be able to bring Haaland on 19 without a hit)
    2. Alvarez to Solanke (probably need Alvarez if Haaland is still not available for 19)
    3. Taylor to TAA ( won’t be able to bring Haaland on 19 without a hit and removing TAA)
    4. Taylor to Trippier but already have dubraka and lascelles and need to remove trippier for haaland if fit

this is random, but Elon is such an idiot trying to rebrand twitter to x. I rarely use twitter, and if I want to find a tweet I normally google something like this "fpl twitter".

Does he think people will ever use x in the search term, for example, "x fpl". Or someone X'd (tweeted) .

    What's a retweet gonna be? XX'd?

The guy is smart, but at the same time, incredibly stupid.

I had 3x accounts - business, personal, and hobbies - I closed the first two after he bought the site, and then only recently deleted the app. Have my Bluesky invite and account set up, so that's basically that. Will be closing the final Twitter account over the New Year.
And the guy is not smart, far from it. He's from the too big too fail camp.

yes, but went he got that domain, twitter probably didn't exist. He is trying to morph twitter into whatever in his head he is imagining.

I haven't checked the share price recently, and its not a true reflection of what company is actually worth (its what people perceive it is worth), but I strongly suspect its worth around 15bil now, meaning he has wiped off 2/3rds of the share price since taking over lol.

I think he was paid in an odd way to ruin it...

As in to take away it's information power base by chucking a load of misinformation in.

A massive global geo political play.

Apparently he bid with other institutions money with an option and then acted to stop the transaction completing so he could earn money off the initial £7bn or so deposited that he could control.

The question of bots v genuine accounts was to scupper the deal.

But got outplayed eventually to have to buy it at the inflated price.

Then took it on as a project to effectively sabbatoage it as a source of proper journalism and reliable info. Which is a kind of joke because it was always the wild west of the www but had a much better side to it.

Hence the blue tick change, losing ad revenue whilst allowing highly disputed sources a platform again.

I think the rebrand was one of his long held ideas tho.

      X this
      X that

        Yep.

They haven't even re-branded. He fired so many people, that they no longer have the keys to the code haha. Most stuff is still twitter branding as a result of that.

Does x.com even take you to twitter? I still see twitter in the domain.

I have been hearing a lot on reddit recently that innocent search terms on twitter are throwing up illegal material in the feed, and commonly. So be warned guys. - This will be all over the news very soon I think.

That's command and control to force through his changes ...

I think its commercial sabbatoage and he's a stooge effectively for those behind the scenes with money channeled in by investment bankers and venture capital etc.

The price or cost must have deemed worth it ....
Hence there was something big to kill and re-instate.

Always makes me laugh. I remember when I first started working from home over 10 years ago and my then boss was pretty blunt; yes I "could" take the mick, but no one was going to go my effing work for me, so crack on with my project workload.

Over the years, I've seen loads of people in the office who just fill time, chat and get coffees, but act as if they are somehow doing more than those quietly working away at home.

There are many roles where some level of physical presence is necessary to meet the workload expectations, in the holistic sense of that term

But yes it's true working from home is looked at by the organizations with unpaid overtime culture as skiving.

              I think that's changed ...

But I've been in the office today and sat next to someone i got to know, I'd happily just call to ask a straight question, chatted with a new grad over a bring your own Christmas lunch and pointed to things on a screen and chatted with my boss in a more natural way.

So I agree the daily commute is inefficient, especially when everyone is doing it at broadly the same time but also face to face is insightful.

That said, a relatively empty office was still noisy when I was on a couple of Teams meetings with headset on. Physical meetings always start late and hybrid conflicts with the in room technology often.

The small talk seems un-important at first, but you actually learn loads that wouldn't be shared via Teams or email.

A smile is important and real.

Humans are social creatures... And at their best in person some of the times.
