Seconded. Listening to Talksport and a supporter expressed same concern ‘we’ve noticed he’s lost weight lately’. Let’s hope this is just clutching at straws to understand why he’s leaving

Just seen a replay of him giving the announcement..he looks in super health (and better shape than many blokes more than half his age). I speculate that there is a MEGA MONEY deal for him in the pipeline, from the Middle East..he can't be seen to be quitting for it..will give it a few months then you'll see.

I think he takes a fairly long period out of management personally. Taking his comments at face value, he is tired and wants a normal life.

Do you mean as in would never go to the Middle East or? I mean he's not announced his retirement, so there must be some thought to a future move?

I don't think Klopp sits there in an interview saying he is tired and needs time out of management and then signs a massive contract in the middle east. It's not in his character and just isn't something he would do.

Don't know if you're joking, but this is probably the biggest misread of another human's character imaginable.

My guess is that he's quitting BECAUSE of PIF and the mega money in football and he is totally disillusioned with where the game is heading.

It's certainly an opinion, but if you're talking about a person's character, he's as tough as they come and it's pretty far-out to suggest that his character can't handle the PIF. People of his calibre look at challenges as opportunities and until I hear Klopp say your speculation, I'll keep that one as an outlier... I'd go more with the "just tired" in general...and wants to live a little (got loads of doh in the bank..why not aye).

people who think RDZ is overrated listen to other managers speak about him , especially pep. he is best suited to continue and develop what klopp has achieved which is a system that uses particular kinds of players. that will be one of Klopps best legacys and it cant be squandered the in the manner of spurs and united which was to pick managers completely different to the one who had just left after a long stint in charge

Klopp’s next team? Nah, he won’t manage again. And if he does, it’ll be an international team. There’s barely managers left in football that have such a relationship with the fans. Liverpool looked reinvigorated this season. So something is wrong

I agree with other posts on here that it aligns perfectly for Klopp and his back room team, who are also leaving, to take up the role of managing the German National Team after the next tournament.
Interesting though as to who would replace him Liverpool, they need to get that appointment spot on to push forward with the progress made under klopp. Especially as it seems obvious now that Salah will also depart for warmer climates in the summer transfer window giving his successor a war chest for investment in players whilst adhering to FFP rules.
