Is it really better to use FH in 29 for those poor match ups? Or play 8-9 instead and save the precious FH for later?

I have 5 also and open to hits, WC and FH. Taylor and Porro being 2 isn't great.

With 5, I think you just hit the button.

It allows you to keep your core team.

Could go the -4/-8 then -4/-8 route or the chip route. A decent green arrow makes anything possible.

        My thoughts as well
        my non-FH team is currently
        Areola
        Doughty Porro
        Bowen Barkley Son
Morris Watkins (+ Solanke > either Toney or Muniz)
Might even hit out Saka for Rich if he's fit (WC31)

Unless the FHers get lucky with a leftfield pick like Kudus or filler like Reguilon, I'm thinking I shouldn't be too far shy of them

Not having Foden has killed me recently but now isn't the time, right, with Liverpool, blank, and Arsenal next? I've got enough to do KDB to Salah after fh29, which seems the move.

I've got exactly enough for Garnacho to Foden before he goes up. But I can't see how that helps.

    Good to go?

    Neto
    Saliba, Gabriel, Doughty
    Saka, KDB, Palmer, Son
    Watkins, Solanke (c), Haaland

    (Areola. Garnacho, Ait-Nouri, Branthwaite)

Hi gents, team going forwards into 28 is:

    Areola
    Gabriel - Branthwaite - Saliba
    KDB - Saka - Foden - Son
    Solanke - Haaland - Watkins
    ____________________________
    Dubravka: Palmer: Estu: Baldock

    1FT, 0.0 ITB

Thinking of something along the lines of:

    A) KDB > Bowen
    B) Estu > Zabarnyi
    C) Both for a -4

    Any input appreciated cheers chaps.

Why is the post-Senesi bandwagon on Zabarnyi instead of say Smith (same price, 2 assists)?

Looking at replacing Estup this week (would bench Virgil for whoever comes in, Walker already on bench to prefer Doughty which feels weird too, but surely both sides score in the City-Pool game).

Rough: Senesi and Trippier both injured so don't get the clean sheet. Was Konsa a few weeks ago. 2 in 1 GW is taking the mick! 🙁 Last minute Darwin to Gross change due to team news costs 4 points 🙁

Smooth: Foden and Watkins good GW but still not enough to prevent the red arrow.

Was briefly inside 2m before Arsenal run riot again last night, good as a Gooner, but not good for FPL!!

Best game week of the very poor season. 104 total. No hits. Almost everybody delivered exempt KdB and Solanke. Arteta helped me significantly subing off Saka (who I do not own). Before the game week I brought Havertz who delivered instantly. I also had Martinelli. First time in this season all my defenders got clean sheet (Burn, Bradley and Saliba). Areola saved penalty. I moved to 690 k overal from over 1 million.

      Very rough.
Disastrous wildcard. Only 69 points and dropped from 594k to 653k. If I had made no changes to my squad, I would have benched Areola but still scored 80 and gone up to about 540k. I should have waited till GW30 or later before playing it.

I even contrived to lose 0.4m by selling Watkins and then buying him back again. I originally intended to replace him with Morris for his DGW, but then decided that it might to be better to have all three of the top forwards (Haaland, Watkins and Solanke), and that I could get these if I downgraded Trippier to Doughty and Foden to Gross. I actually expected Gross to outscore Foden, but then Gross was benched while Foden hauled.

I committed to the wildcard early in the week to avoid losing out to to price changes, and had expected Salah to be fit to play in GW27. By the time it was confirmed that he wouldn't play it was too late to change my plan, so I had to replace him with Son as a place-holder and leave enough in the bank to upgrade Son to Salah in GW30.

Apart from setting my squad up for GW30 onwards (I always intended to Free Hit in BGW29), the main reason for playing my wildcard earlier was to prepare for a Bench Boost in DGW28 by selecting most of my bench enablers from Bournemouth and Luton. But then Senesi got injured, Saka is a doubt and there could be further injuries in this week's European matches, so by the start of GW28 I may no longer be set up for a good Bench Boost after all. That's one of the problems with Bench Boost - you can't play a Wildcard and Bench Boost in the same week, so you have to set it up in advance, which gives time for players to get injured. And you can't replace injured players in your starting eleven with auto-promotions from your bench like you can in other weeks.

    Thoughts on this lot?

    Areola* (Dub)
    Gab Saliba Ake Taylor* Porro*
    Foden Saka Gordon Palmer Son*
    Solanke Watkins* Haaland

    1 FT. 3.9m

Just Solanke for DGW28 and 5 with * for BGW29

WC, FH, and BB left, could ignore Bou apart from Solanke and take hits or use a chip to cover a bit better.

I think the opposite would be 'fixture sensitive' - which would describe most teams - but not Sheffield Utd or Burnley. It doesn't matter who they play, they just lose to everyone.

If Arsenal are going to have a good chance of winning their first title in 20 years they'll need to beat Manchester City.

If Liverpool beat them first it would be interesting for all 3.

Liverpool play Sparta Prague 7 and 14 March.
With Man City 10 March and Man Utd 17.

Thick and fast into an international break and what that entails ...

England play Brazil and Belgium starting on 23 March.at Wembley.

Yeah, Porto in Europe but no FA Cup so they've got a chance.

I think they should play to beat Man City, can't set out for a draw albeit they would take the result. Just need to play to win and believe they can.

If Liverpool get a decent result at the weekend it opens it up.

Of course last season they had a chance and Man City turned it around easily enough.

I'd just like to see Man City not win it this season.

    Dubravka (Turner)
    Senesi* Gabriel Pau (Taylor Porro*)
    Saka Foden KDB Palmer Maddison
    Watkins Haaland (Archer*)

I was going to do KDB + Archer > Martinelli + Solanke for -4 (bench Maddison?) and FH 29. Need some differentials for upside chasing now and Martinelli I think is a decent one week punt. If he is out for a week, who could be a good pick for a week?

    A) Havertz
    B) Odegaard
    C) Someone else from a different team?

Really wanted to get Tavernier for the DGW, but would mean benching a high ownership player in good form. What would you do here?

    A - Martinelli -> Tavernier (-4), bench Foden

    B - Martinelli -> Tavernier (-4), bench Watkins

    C - Just play Foden + Watkins

Are these to transfers worth -4 each in isolation?

Foden (liv, blank, ARS) to Bowen (BUR, AVL, new)
