Those listed above will gain a bye to the first round proper of this new FFS Members Cup should they enter with the username listed.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

HOW DO THE CUP COMPETITIONS WORK?

Our cups are very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

WHEN DO THEY START?

The qualifying round for the Members Cup will take place in Gameweek 29, with the first round running in Gameweek 30.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams in the FFS Members Cup until 23:59 GMT on Sunday 17 March. We will make the first-round draw after Gameweek 29 ends.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

Entrants must have registered their teams in Fantasy Premier League ahead of Gameweek 1.

HOW DO I ENTER?

Enter the FFS Members Cup via the entry form here. This form is only visible to Premium Members and you will need to log into the Premium Members’ Area to view the form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team ID at the point of entry. Your entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team ID as part of the process. If your FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The FFS Members Cup list is here.

HOW DO I FIND MY FPL TEAM ID?

Your FPL ID is your unique ID for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right-hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-8 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL ID field on the entry form.

WHEN WILL I FIND OUT IF I’VE QUALIFIED?

Results from the Members Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after Gameweek 29 ends and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

WHAT IS THE GAMEWEEK SCHEDULE?

The cup will be played out according to the following proposed Gameweek schedule:

Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup Round Dates

  • Qualifying – Gameweek 29
  • Round 1 – Gameweek 30
  • Round 2 – Gameweek 31
  • Round 3 – Gameweek 32
  • Round 4 – Gameweek 33
  • Round 5 – Gameweek 34
  • Quarter-Final – Gameweek 35
  • Semi-Finals – Gameweek 36
  • Final and third place play-off – Gameweek 37

WHEN ARE THE FIXTURES RELEASED?

Where possible, the fixture list for each round will be published before each Gameweek deadline.

PRIZES

Overall Prizes
The prizes for both cups are as follows:

1st Place: £150 Amazon voucher
2nd Place: £100 Amazon voucher
3rd Place: £50 Amazon voucher

DO I HAVE TO ENTER IF I’M A PREVIOUS WINNER?

Yes, because your FPL team ID will have changed so we will need to record your entry again. As a previous winner, you will be given a bye to the first round proper.

DO I NEED TO BE REGISTERED WITH FANTASY FOOTBALL SCOUT?

We ask you to supply a Fantasy Football Scout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament.

Ideally, you will already have a username with us, but this is not essential to enter.

You must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles.

You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament. Should you do so without permission, should you enter multiple teams, or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament at any stage.

Is there any way gusto plays when James returns, even being moved to centre back? Playing a game that includes fa cup points (telegraph) and Chelsea run is brilliant.
Is petrovic likely to remain his spot for the rest of the season?

D Garnacho (plus Watkins for cash)

      Same question but

      a) Bailey
      b) Kudus
      c) Bowen
      d) Son
      e) Saka.

      I'm already choosing Bailey lol.

      Where is your 'e' option?

I don't think selling any is great. You'll want Saka back in for LUT, Son will rise again, Foden entering the best form of his career and Garnacho DGW in 34 is essential.

      What's your chip strategy?

Casemiro injured for Man Utd, maybe a chance for Amrabat to show he's not terrible today. Mason Mount back on the bench is a bonus. Hojlund brace and 2-0, none biased supporter.

Igor Bišćan...I remember when he signed for Liverpool, it took him a little while to adapt. Good player when he did. He was good on the championship manager variant of the day.

Harvey Elliott is gonna get booted up on the air isn't he, poor lad.

    Morning, campers. Couple of questions

    a) Do we know the DGW34 teams now (I'm assuming LFC win today)?

    b) Bradley or Kelleher on WC30?

    1. _Greg
      • 15 Years
      1 year, 8 months ago

      I don't know.

Kelleher. Liverpool are trying to play down the Allison injury but I suspect his season is over. Trent however will return before the end.

      1. DARE TO BISCAN
        • 7 Years

I'm thinking Kelleher & Petrović/Neto. Was considering Onana, but 0.1 off and well, Utd continue to not look good 😀

The uncertainty over Bradley is off-putting for FPL. I think LFC are more balanced with him, over messing about with the formation for Trent. Nice headache to have though

        1. _Greg
          • 15 Years

If Trent could return as a midfielder forever after injury it's probably too late for an FPL positional change next season but certainly would help Liverpool if they persist with the 'box' midfield.

What would you do wit this lot:

    Neto
    Zabarny, Udogie, Gabriel
    Son, Bowen, Palmer, Foden, Saka
    Toney, Watkins

    Sub: Flekken, Morris, Daughty, Regulion
    1FT
    9.7 in the bank

I think FH 29 was still the right way to go but the level of template-ness has really highlighted a lot wrong with how many play the game (myself included).

Every league I'm in virtually everyone has the same team minus one or two players - and these aren't players who've historically taken it that seriously, it's just YouTube/FPL Review etc means the hive mind is at a new level of ubiquity.

Great options (Muniz especially) were barely even considered. What level of collective hysteria is required to send a Brentford defender, given their form, to 50%+ EO for any game?

Over the long-term it makes sense to follow the crowd to a large extent if you're looking (as most content creators are) to minimise risk. But in an individual game week there's some simple assumptions you could make which are contrary to the masses and in the process make huge gains (i.e. Luton and Brentford are rubbish; Fulham are pretty good).

It is a 4 match gameweek so not the largest pool of players to choose from. The majority of that pool is also shite and some teams are no gos - did anybody really bring in Burnley players? This basically means if you used your FH, there was such a narrow pool of players to choose from that homogeneity was inevitable and given the quality of the teams available, a low scoring week was likely. I still think as most people will have filled up on Villa, West Ham and Spurs that today could pay dividends for the FHers though.

Well put and I think it’s a correct assessment. I have to admit to being swayed by the creators more each year and the free hits highlighted this.

Sad but true. I like to think I'm a bit of a contraririan but just pulled in by the template.

Even called Leno as highest scoring GK in another thread, but still went flekken.

I chose to save my FH for later and already had Watkins and Morris. Muniz was definitely a good pick for a FH as both player and team in better form than Toney and Morris and their teams. Congratulations to those people who picked him.

      • 8 Years

It wasn’t exactly a great pool of player to choose from.

Son Madders Pro Bowen Watkins Toney plus Brentford defender picked themselves.

Hangover of Luton players probably had a bit of bias in picks.

Don't really see the issue with backing the defence with the highest CS odds - yes, there were of course some warning signs with their injuries & form, but with that fixture, relatively speaking, it made sense. Toney's popularity did seem a bit sheepish to me though

      I agree.

The FH was approached in the wrong way due to unique nature of the gameweek.

Just 4 fixtures and a small number of Fantasy relevant players in action. It was a big opportunity to go differential because if a popular player blanked then FPL managers literally had no one to fall back on. The opportunity to gain ground in rank was massive.

Yeah it's disconcerting how many managers were risk averse this week.

People trying to tell me that Doughty's EO was too scary to go against...

But then again, you had to take the right risks. If you went Toney (c) and double Brentford attack with Wissa it was differential but you wouldn't have won.

It's easy in hindsight to say Fulham were a good team to back but Spurs had just won 4-0 and had scored in every game. Would be a little crazy to have started with say Leno + Robinson.

        Agreed.
It was because of Spurs having scored in every previous game that I started Reguilon and benched Tosin and Robinson.
So far, my starting eleven has scored 10 and my bench 17. 🙁

I wouldn't worry about Zinchenko, he's a much worse defender than Kiwior and won't replace him any time soon. But the returns of Tomiyasu and Timber are imminent, they are serious contenders for the spot, and Kiwior is far from being nailed.

Gabriel, Saliba, White are all safer bets, and Gabriel already comes with a discount. Highest goalscoring centerback over the last five years in the PL was given 5.0m to start the season with, and then dropped to 4.7m becasue he didn't start the first two games of the season.

    Petrovic Pickford
    Ake Gabriel Gusto Bradley Branthwaite

    Haaland Darwin Muniz

    FH34, BB37.

Bradley to Van Hecke for DGW35

I'm tempted by Havertz over Saka as well. Leads me to tinkering, maybe too much:
          a) Kiwior, Havertz, Isak (bench headache)
          b) Gabriel, Saka, Muniz

I want Gabriel regardless at the moment. Have him cheap and has good goal threat from set pieces.

Muniz I will only field this week v Sheffield and probably sell on before GW35.

Isak I will buy on FH34. No need for him otherwise.

I want triple city so Ake Foden Haaland for the run in is possible.

That’s fair yeah, they can be frustrating. But more often than not we know the city team before the deadline now. So an easy sub to a full playing bench to choose from. But need triple city for the double imo. Maybe Alvarez for DGW37, needs to check that.

Will be interesting to see how Arteta rotate his side with all the fixtures they have.

Saka ownership and penalties is a cause for concern. But the amount of goals Arsenal score and the fact Havertz feels central to them just makes the decision slightly easier.

I also like to own a player that’s a bit more exciting. I feel Havertz has that over Saka.

Current WC30, on paper. Suggestions welcome

    Kelleher
    Gusto, White, Udogie
    Foden, Son, Palmer, Salah
    Muniz, Watkins, Darwin

(Petrović, Saka, Ait Nouri, Gabriel) 5.7m

    GW31: Watkins > Haaland

    Petrović could be Neto.

          Yes.
          Current dilemmas are:

          1. Nunez vs Isak or both
          2. Foden or No Foden
          3. Kelleher or VVD (saving on Kel is v useful)
          4. Haaland from GW30 or 31 (money in the bank to do 31)

I am. I basically built my GW37 team and then worked it backwards.

I need cheap players from Everton due to good double fixtures. Brighton need to come and go. Wolves are a possibility- FA Cup loss a hit annoying as their double could now be in FH34.

          Petrovic Pickford
          Ake Gabriel Gusto Bradley Branthwaite
          Salah Son Foden Palmer Havertz
          Haaland Darwin Muniz

Muniz and Bradley positions will be the 2 I sell and replace for best fixtures and doubles!

I prefer Bradley over Kelleher. I keep switching between them. If I knew his place was secure, Bradley is a no-brainer.

Everton just don't appeal to me. Need to see improvement. They have good fixtures. But, I'd imagine every team playing them, think they're a good fixture.

Kelleher probably won’t be starting DGW37 so not considering him personally as gk position I don’t want to have to think about.

Bradley also loses his spot after the palace game probably, but if he keeps his spot he’s a dream. Easy upgrade if you can keep money itb (hence why Havertz over Saka).

A Luton defender who scored 7 points against Forest yesterday thanks to an assist and a couple of bonus points.
Has played 90 minutes in each of their last four matches and was highly recommended for GW29 by our RMT tool, but it was only his second return of the season, following a clean sheet against Brighton in GW22.

Just managed to see the results last night, what a disaster. I had a secret feeling Tottenham might struggle in the London derby, considering how Fulham already took points off Arsenal twice, and seeing that Joao Pahlinha will start against them too, an absolute monster in midfield.
Muniz also had the best stats among the players I considered for the 3rd striker spot, but I felt the fixture was too difficult, so I looked elsewhere. And now of course ''the lamest'' pick Robinson with 11 points sits last on my bench after outscoring my entire team. 🙂

      Wolves losing means
Wolves v Arsenal is on in 34
      Man City winning means
Spurs v Man City is off in 34 (for now but may get rearranged for later in same gameweek)

Just checked the current PL table
Nine of the top 11 teams will get at least 1 double gameweek

Not hard to reach that considering most teams are built around Arsenal, City and Villa players, plus the likes of Son and Gusto. If anything, you’ll be facing BB’ers with 15 doublers, so wouldn’t try to flex just yet.

        2. Utopsis
          • 5 Years

You won't have 11 doublers - unless you think it's a good idea to get rid of all Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City players for doublers from the likes of Wolves and Sheff Utd

Not sure on which keeper combo with a BB37 in mind and wildcard considerations.

Maybe you get Onana with dgw34 in view and Manchester United home to Newcastle United and Sheffield United?

Pickford has decent fixtures in gw32 and 37 but you'd be tempted to transfer Onana out depending on the gw37 fixtures.

Which goal keeper combo is the best for the run in and BB, around about £10m to spend.

      Actually looking again...

Areola and Leno complement each other and are the value pairing all season. At a cost of £9.1m.

That would give me £8m for the final midfield slot.

Would Mbembo be worth a punt with their run, his early season form and Brentford's need for points?

I think Petrovic should be one of your keepers as Chelsea will have a double in 37 and possibly another in 35/36.

Onana will also have a good fixture in 35 after DGW34 assuming Utd double that week. If you're wildcarding in 35 or 36 then it will be an easy decision to make as you'll know the doubles in 37.

In terms of DGWs (if that's when you aim to BB), Leno isn't a great option. Good chance he blanks in 34 if Liverpool win tonight & his DGW37 would then be MCI LIV. Not many others I'd consider really, maybe Petrovic

I like Pickford, he'll probably have NFO LIV in 34 & some nice home fixtures for the run in. Onana a good option too

Good share! At this point just wait for the info and ignore price rises. Home stretch of the season incoming!

Good point - we can relax for a week while we wait to find out the situation with the fixtures and injuries after the IB.

... and thanks for the link.

You can't say GTG yet, obviously. But, you can discuss a wildcard easily. Obviously, if issues come up, there's time to adjust. Different teams will be in different situations - some will have planned for WC30. All seems straightforward. Discussing FPL, on an FPL forum seems reasonable, no?

It's very reasonable imo, but I do think that it is good to not overthink the game well in advance of key information becoming available.

Sure, you can ask whatever you want on here. Just don't think I could give a good enough answer waiting for confirmed info

Because if it's worth doing you're better off going early on a wildcard in an internationally week.

Sometimes it pays to be decisive rather than have all the perfect info.

Afterall a wildcard now gives 8 free transfers to configure around doubles too.

Picking core players for your squad is probably better than playing with double game week goalies for the sake of gw34 and 37 too.

Why is it better going early on WC during IB? We know prices changes are not as active during this period.

Ideally you want to make a decision with all the info available to you.

I'm not questioning the idea of WC30. I'm questioning how folks can give a good answer with info not confirmed

I went early with my wildcard for GW27 but lost 0.4m on selling Watkins and then deciding to buy him back.
I might also have reconsidered whether it was right to wildcard that week if I had known that Salah was not going to be fit enough to return yet.

            Yeah.

You do have to hold any core players with value in them or if you're not sure.

On which I am guessing Salah doesn't have international duties but will check first.

It's better to go early, for the reason you mentioned. Price changes. Muniz increased last night.

It's not a black and white, one time decision. You can tweak as needed. That's the beauty of a wildcard. Especially if you've plenty of time on it, ie over an IB.

People can give useful answers and opinions with info available. Nothing major is going to change. Again, as new info comes in, adjustments can be made.

Folks can answer if it's a good squad and just ignore the gw potential fixtures.

Obsessing about those can be counter productive anyway.

If hitting a wildcard may as go early and do a slow and considered one, especially over international weeks with injuries etc.

You can evolve it slowly in your own time.

How long is Ederson out for? I know he is only yellow flagged but I am debating bringing in Ortega

Meh. Usual issues with City keepers, regardless of injury status.

3.7m keeper for a top 3 team with not so bad fixtures after this gameweek isn’t bad

On paper I'd agree but City face two of their bogey teams after Arsenal and have Spurs away after Luton (who still seem to always score even if conceding a heap)

Per Pep's Friday presser, Ederson is expected back after the IB

Thoughts on this for GW30? Any changes necessary?
    Dubravka
    Bradley, Saliba, Branthwaite
    Salah, Son (C), Foden, Gordon
    Darwin, Toney, Solanke
    (Areola, Saka, Akanji, Estupiñan)

I'd love to bring in Trippier when fit, and maybe swap Estupiñan for Gusto?
Not sure if Akanji starts vs Arsenal - didn't last time.
