Taylor to Gusto worth a -4?

He's bound to outscore Taylor by 4 points between now and the end of the season. He might even make up the points in this gameweek alone! If you're going to be starting him this weekend and consistently, then yes.

    Dub
    Tarkowski Zabarnyi Porro
    Saka Foden Palmer Gordon
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    Areola Tavernier Gabriel Estupinan

    6.4 itb 1ft

Gw30 Tav to Son bench saka free
    Gw31 Watkins Foden to Salah Cunha/Semenyo/Mateta -4
    Gw32 save
Gw33 son Gordon to Diaz Havertz free
    Gw34 haaland to Nunez free

Gives me 10 players with double gw34

    Dub
    Gab Zab Tark
    Salah Diaz Saka Havertz
    Nunez Solanke Cunha/Semenyo/Mateta

    Areola Palmer Porro Estup

Then wc gw35 or gw36 to bb gw37

Any obvious flaws in this plan? Better suggestions appreciated as always

Well it makes a change from everyone asking about Gusto. I tend to think you can only count on half your FT, the rest get eaten by injury/rotation and random events or just changes of mind.

Very true hard to plan so far ahead

Trying to build for gw34 and still use foden palmer Gordon Watkins haaland etc for their good fixtures beforehand and obviously minimal hits.

        Btw thoughts on Gusto? 🙂

G'day folk, any feedback on this WC team would be appreciated, as preparation for a BB in DGW34:

    Neto - Kelleher
Saliba - Andersen - Alt Nouri - Gusto - Bradley
    Salah - Son - Saka - Gordon - Palmer
    Haaland - Solanke - Muniz

    1.1m ITB

    1. Aware of Kelleher & Bradley risks
    2. Aware of benching headaches but think it will sort itself out with rotation/suspension/injury during the run in

Particularly keen to hear thoughts on GK & defence, but any comments appreciated, many thanks...

Just done Kelleher to Pickford, one less DGW player to find later and frees up Liverpool spot for Darwin in case he hauls lol

Also Liverpool defence covered by Bradley, hopefully

        Yeah

I'd say Pickford too as you can play him for most of the rest of the season.

I'm on the Kelleher punt tho myself.

Bradley is good but he could lose his spot if Trent doesn't go into midfield.

No Watkins might hurt your score tho?

Yep, although can't have 'em all - one had to drop from Salah, Son, Saka, Haaland or Watkins.

Bradley can become Braithwaite/other if looks like he's not playing/TAA back, nearer the time.

Pickford over Kelleher just means one less transfer to make and frees up third Pool spot..

Palmer, Gordon & Haaland may become DGW'ers in run up to 34 using FT's

Looking at Rice, Wolves mid (Hwang), Darwin type situation...

      Looks ok.

That Gordon pick maybe worth looking at. I think I would be Salah, Saka, Son, Foden Palmer Haaland Solanke and fill in around that ... but cash is tricky. On the basis you will be captaining Salah or Haaland or Palmer most weeks as they have doubles, Son could be Richarlison or Madds and then you are into Virgil in defence and a whole new world 😉

I like nailed players in a double bench boost, not sure about Alt Nouri - Gusto - Bradley as being nailed by 34.

Not saying they are not nailed but alternatives are available and different formations may not be helpful.

My luck in a double is that if I owned them they would get benched in one game.

For DGW34, as a third Arsenal (wol, CHE) alongside Saliba & Saka:

    1. Another defender
    2. Rice, Rice baby

I've had the keeper as third Arsenal player for past 15 weeks, and any time I've thought of changing him, have had a more pressing need. So from a neutral perspective I'd say it's a fair punt.

That news that Allison is due back by mid April makes the second goalkeeper selection tricky for a gw34 BB.

If I want to go for Son over Foden I've only got £4.2m so shall I just settle with Martin Dubravka?

He complements the Pickford pick in gw31 and gw38.

I don't want to spend £5m on Sa. Palace look a no go plus goalkeeper uncertainty despite the fixtures in gw34.

    Any other options?

André Onana also doubles and has good fixtures in gw33-36 but I'd have to downgrade Gabriel or White.

It does free up a Liverpool slot for Son in gw34.

Sam Johnstone is out for the season so Palace keeper will be Henderson at 4.4. You can just bench him till the double.
Not sure why you think they are a no go?

        • 13 Years

Yep Johnstone 100% out for rest of season (and maybe into the next) - this must be our worst season ever for injuries. Henderson not looked as good as Johnstone (especially at set pieces) so is a concern, just hope he can make the most of this chance.

Do you expect much more than appearance points from Petrovic?

Petrovic doubles in 35/36 and also 37. He has got great fixtures over the next 4 gws.
        I'm going to FH34.

Fair play but do you think he'll keep a clean sheet?

Maybe he will in gw32 or 33.

          I know appearance points accumlate.

He has as much chance, if not better, than anyone, especially with the extra fixtures.

There's a few fixtures that I like the look of, for chances.

Don't think Arteta will give us Saka news. He's extra cagey when Arsenal play City.

      Expect the same from Pep.

Then, I'll hope that someone sees him training or travelling.
If I hear no news, I'll leave it, but Havertz is still tempting...

I’ve ended up with a very underwhelming GK and Defence; the residual aftermath of ill advised DGW investment.

Is a hit for worth it?
If so - what change to make?

    Flekken/Kaminski
Gabriel, Alex Moreno, Branthwaite, (Doughty, Reguillon)

How does the rest of the team look? Is WC an option as it looks like you didn't play FH in 29?

        Rest of team:

        Salah, Son, Maddison, Saka, Palmer
        Toney, Watkins (Morris)

I brought in Salah for Bowen and have £6.2m itb. I was also considering a -4 to bring in Muniz for Toney or Morris.

Mercifully saved my FH but no WC left.

    1) Foden -> Salah
    2) Garnacho and Watkins -> Salah and Muniz (-4)
    3) Garnacho and Watkins -> Salah and Muniz for free next GW

    (1FT, 5.2 itb)
    Dubravka (Turner)
    Porro/Gabriel/Maguire (Van Hecke, Mengi)
    Son/Saka/Palmer/Foden (Garnacho)
    Haaland/Watkins/Solanke

    On a wildcard

    Pickford Dubravka
    Gabriel White Gusto RAN Branthwaite
    Salah Saka Son Palmer MacA
    Haaland Watkins Muniz

    Nothing left in the bank.

Could Pope be back fit this season?

Ouch, due back by gw35 when Newcastle have a good run and could double.

Ahh, so that's why you were asking...
Do you not fancy attacking Chelsea's 2 doubles? There's noone other than Palmer and Gusto that is worth bringing in.
