Newcastle v West Ham team news: Livramento fit, Trippier out

Gameweek 30 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) kicks off with Newcastle United v West Ham United.

The match at St James’ Park gets underway at 12:30 GMT.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe makes one change to the side that lost at Manchester City in the FA Cup two weeks ago.

Tino Livramento returns from injury to replace Sven Botman, who is set to miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

Harvey Barnes is named on the bench after being passed fit but Kieran Trippier remains sidelined.

West Ham manager David Moyes also makes one change to his starting XI, a fortnight on from the Gameweek 29 draw with Aston Villa.

Edson Alvarez is suspended for collecting 10 bookings, so James Ward-Prowse comes into midfield.

Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta both returned from international duty with minor issues but are fit to feature on Tyneside.

Mae a mess of the Challenger game already. My reading of the rules said it was possible to keep moving the captaincy onwards to players yet to play that game week, like in the World Cup fantasy game. This was a great 'stick or twist' thrill to have and I thought it had been introduced into the Challenge. So I captained Bowen for the early match, expecting to shift it to Son at before 3pm. Now I see Bowen is locked, and the rules say the captaincy can't be moved off a locked player. Not sure if a locked player can even be transferred out in this Challenge, which again could be done in the WCF; to a yet to play player.
That was the skill in the WCFantasy; to build teams with early players in the starting eleven and others playing later ready to come on for the under achievers.
If Challenge doesn't have this 'stick or twist' facility then I fail to see the point of it.
Bowen has scored though, so was getting it wrong so bad?
