Reports suggest Allison is back "at the end of April". So there is a good chance Kelleher lasts until both DGW games

Hope its so, he's been a gem for me especially as Areola now has suspect nether regions.

I know it's Arteta so pinch of salt and etc. but I am beginning to wonder if I should hold off on doing Son to Saka now. Basically always starts when he says stuff like this but Arsenal have tougher gamew coming up (Brighton, Bayern, Villa, Bayern), if he feel he has to rest him then surely this is the game he'd do it in

Thing about Son is that he’s playing 90 every week

There’s a chance he won’t but I always expect Saka to start. However, if we’re 2/3 goals up against Luton by half time tomorrow, he’ll get subbed off to be ready for the weekend

Good points. Looking at recent games too West Ham have conceded a lot of chances on their right (assuming Son plays LW today with Richarlison back at CF). I've often been in this scenario where doing nothing ends up being the best course of action so I may just do that

      I don't think I'd do it.

But then again, I wouldn't have sold Saka. Arteta will play him into the ground. And that's bad for us both ways. Bad because he won't ever be sure on his fitness and that could affect his performance. But also bad because he starts all the time so you can't go without him in confidence.

Can you rate my wildcard team please:

    Kelleher / Petrovic

Porro / White / Gvardiol / Alt Nouri / Bradley

    Johnson / Son / Palmer / Salah / Barnes

    Jackson/ Haaland / Isak

Plan is to FH 34 and BB 37.

I have three Spurs and Chelsea for their doubles and should only need to transfer out Kelleher, Bradley and White for 14 Doublers and Salah in 37. Still 1.5 in the bank.

      It looks good ish.

There's not a huge amount available in defence. Johnson was Havertz until about 5 mins ago when I looked at the link I provided to you below.

Jackson is benched in prep for the doubles, at least this week. His recent form is actually good compared to Darwin for example.

Could Jesus start ahead of Havertz?

    With Martinelli and Saka.

Rest Havertz and bench Trossard again?

    This would make some sense.

      • 14 Years

Havertz is only 55% to play on https://app.playsharper.com/games/arsenal-fc-vs-luton-town-fc-premier-league-1712083500?tab=lineups_predictions so you're not alone in your assumption.

You'd think Martenelli's would start so they could be getting 60-30 mins.

Perhaps double Arsenal defence is the way to go for those with a choice?

    2. x.jim.x

Reckon they go all out at home and try to pump up the GD:

      Martinelli - Jesus - Saka
      Havertz - Rice - Odegaard

      1. Bartowski
        • 14 Years

Depends how pragmatic Arteta is. Tough game at Brighton only four days later

Brighton ship 2 goals a game at home, should be pretty straight-forward. The 3 teams challenging have left themselves in a spot where they can't afford to drop points, so would be surprised to see much rotation beyond early subs.

            • 14 Years

I'm not sure it's as straight forward as that. They looked good away against Liverpool and Baleba playing full games has finally helped fill in that big hole they've had in midfield this season.

Doesn't sound as good when you consider it was actually 4 on target, 5 off target, 3 blocked. And an xG of only 1.49.

Not safe, it's a risk because you don't know for sure when! Allison will return and once he does then Kelleher is no use to you anymore.

You can do it, but you have to be prepared for the possible outcome that he'll be back as a backup before the end of the DGW.
