From GW4 to 9, Palmer was 4.9m - currently the highest scoring player in the game with 238pts, only really starting from GW7.

Wow, could've reached 300 if involved all season...

How many GWs has Saka not been flagged this season? Very few I suspect and played almost every game. He's starting on Sunday, correct?

If you're chasing 29 points with 2 FT, do you reckon it's still possible to do it?

Both are template teams with only diff being Foden and Wilson VS Saka and N. Jackson.

I could get Salah (C) and Mateta but would mean losing Son (shu). Please kindly advice 🙂

Very unlikely. I had a GW rank of 8.5k this week and only gained 27 points - I say only 🙂

You would need something similar AND those above you to have a bad week as well

I'm not necessarily anti Southgate but he's going to go tried and tested rather than fresh and spicy, isn't he.

Agree we have a great squad capability but will probably go aging in defence.

Again, plenty of decent talent starting out their career but he ain't going there.

Not only is the defence a bit suspect, it's also made of glass.

Question for those smarter than me.. In a Winner Takes All Cup final this GW, these are the differences

Him) Petrovic, Gabriel, Romero, Havertz, Gordon/Isak
    v
Me) Flekken, Gusto, Porro, Saka, Maddison/Isak

I’m giving him the advantage as he already has Gabriel/Havertz and may do Gordon -> Saka.

What’s my best move with 1 FT?

  11. Zimo

22 points behind mini league leader. We basically have the same team right now in attack. He has Foden Havertz Palmer Son Gordon Haaland Isak Mateta and I have Foden Saka Palmer Son Gordon Haaland Isak Wilson.

Thinking of doing Son and Gordon to Salah and Olise for a hit and captain Salah. Playing Wilson and benching Isak as well in the hopes he's fit. What does everyone think? I do also have Gusto and Gvardiol and he doesn't.

Just seen I'm through to 4 cup finals of the 7 mini leagues I'm in, against most of the biggest challenges too.

Be interesting to see how it plays through, because there's some variation in teams.

    Contemplating a -4 for;

Bruno & Isak to Salah & Mubama

    Team would be:

    Petrovic
    White Gabriel Gvardiol
    Salah Son Gordon Palmer Foden
    Haaland Jackson

66 point lead in ML so fancy having some final day fun.

    Thoughts?

Bench boost final squad. Barring a disaster, should finish top 100k for 4th year in a row. Never really got anywhere near top 50k but never mind. Must go with gut instinct on captaincy next year rather than playing it safe. Hope everyone has a good last FPL week.

The Great Hall of Shame Tourney - GW38 Sitrep

A quick recap of the extremely generous imaginary prizes on offer:
    . Guaranteed knighthood
. Prominent position at Round Table (away from Sir Flatulent the Downwind)
    . Brand new jousting stick
. Second crack at feasting buffet post-tourney
. Personalised helm (not great helm but)

Highest placed damsel will secure the coveted bearskin robe. The bottom-placed lollygagger shall be made Dungeon Master! Quick as Mudryk seems to have the position within his grasp such has been his truly miserable, some might say execrable, playing style all season.

Looks like a three horse race for the Hall of Shame Tourney with Flogging a Weghorst (2555pts) a nose in front of One Size Fits All (2550pts) and resident Nirvanite Oh No, Not Again (2549pts). Other lollygaggers may come from behind, like Superimpose in the 1992 W.S. Cox Plate, but mine astute reading of the game tells me it’s one of these three. Good luck all!

Stay tuned for the post GW38 wrap up and announcement of losers!
