There is NO way I'm getting Haaland for £15m

Makes my mind up then. It's a 'no' to starting with him, and if I change my mind on a wildcard, he's unlikely to have risen much.

Might be safer to start with him bearing in mind Man C second game at home to Ipswich. Taking him out is much easier than sticking him in - as the art mistress said to the gardener.

I thought that last year when Haaland came out at £14m, then they just made everyone else cheap to compensate. But yeah, here's hoping.

Haaland 15m and Salah 12.5m after underperforming(and probably will continue to do so, if he's still in the league).

Good price points that... not. But I see what they're trying to do and I don't mind, might shake up the template.

If Haaland is £15m then I'm thinking Hojlund will be £11.5m and I'll have him at that price I think.

    Thoughts?

    1. Gommy

My thoughts are that Hojlund has some way to go to justify a price like £11.5m

If Wirtz comes to Utd then Hojlund could make a mockery of a £11.5m price tag

Extra FH in autumn is a possibility. Even all out attack is a marginal possibility 😉 It would have been useful last season.

Certainly 😉 Or not. I expect minor rule changes for how baps are calculated. Or even new feature like points from recoveries. Earning pen and conceding pen might become worth 2 pts, but since fantasy assist (earning fk) is 3 pts, I don't see earning a pen becoming only 2 points.

Wonder if this would be in conjunction with allowing mid-MD subs... I was pretty sceptical about that being introduced but if they do increase the budget that'd kind of make sense

I'd like to see a 1 million budget with prices that are representative of what players are really worth today. Just 100m to a squad feels more 90's than 2024.

When FPL on their live blog , issue a poll asking: " Will you get Haaland ?" That frustrates me , in that all they want is clicks etc.
How can anyone give a fully informed answer without seeing the prices of other players?

Good price for Haaland, but lack of other premium options is still an issue. Prices elsewhere where far too soft last season and it's still far too likely for that trend to continue. Both Salah and Son may have peaked and Bruno is a question mark. KdB has certainly
peaked. And Salah playing PL is far from certain. Watkins will be an interesting one. If good team with Foden, Saka and Palmer + Watkins and Haaland is affordable, Haaland being expensive means nothing.

I suspect Bruno may be priced the same, if not then at 8.0m. Can't see him go below that, considering he had an OK season with 10G and 9A.

Haaland is a system player dependent on service from the players around him.

Unlike previous high priced players, he is not a creator.

No performance based justification for his price hike.

    OfficialFPL making inconsistent discisions again.

      He's Messi in FPL

You are forgetting what he did in his first season in the league. And last season again he won the golden boot while missing 2 months of a busy part of the season

It's more than justified, it needs to be a decision as to whether we have him or not

Go and click on his profile and then on his comments and you'll see his price predictions. So far he was right about Semenyo being a mid, Havertz being an 8m forward, and Salah being 12.5m. He didn't make a call on Haaland from what I can tell, except for mentioning that some other poster's 13.5m prediction was wrong.

First season was reliant on KDB who is considering offers from the Saudi league.

Messi is a creator and not a system player. I've watched him a few times at the Nou Camp, unlike Haaland hes always in the game.

Is H-B certain starter? If defenders from better teams are priced at 4.5 like last season, this is basically no news. We at least can't really compare them. Usually there haven't been starting defenders at 4.0, so is there a change of policy now(?)

Havertz being only 8 million is far too soft. Haaland being 15 million costs perhaps one extra million, but we will have loads of money if players like Havertz are only 8 million. I was expecting 9 and feared 8.5. Pricing is going to be soft again 🙁
