If Porro is ruled out, and I commit to making a transfer (which is my situation is very likely as I have planned for a Bench Boost), are these 3 options the best given the following information about my team?

    I have 6.0m to spend

My GK and defence includes Saliba, Gabriel, Munoz, Robinson.

    Options for Porro:

    A) Gvardiol
    B) VVD
    C) Robertson

      VVD would be my favourite.

Certainly is appealing and given he came straight in despite Tsimikas makes me think he could be nailed more than under Klopp.

As soon as the red flag goes on Barco I think he would need a minimum of 80% ownership to sell before a drop.

I don't think Savinho will be a regular starter anytime soon, except when last season's regulars get injured

Pep is usually gradual with integrating new buys, afaik

My guess is that he started in GW1 because of Foden's post-Euros break

Guardiola on Savinho: "...take a look - how reliable the player is to play every three or four days.
"I have the feeling that he is so strong to play regularly.
"That's why. A lot of games, a lot of minutes."

Why is Cole Palmer shooting down in price?

If you had him for City, why dump him ahead of a decent fixture run?

Probably being very naive here but there was posters saying they'll pick their GW1 team then WC for GW2. When the transfer window shuts before GW3 and IB just after it, and an extended group phase in CL in 1 month. Combined with the option to bank up to 5 FTs and use 2 or 3 FTs some GWs rather than use a WC when there's no form or settled lineups.

No. I’m waiting on news too. In the earlier team news article they mentioned a 12 day concussion protocol but manager said he should be ok.

The enhanced care pathway in the FA Concussion guidelines states day 12 earliest return to play and after day 7 is "permitted only if
        exceptional criteria met"

Difficult one as it is a strict protocol. Also the managers comments was on the day of the injury so take it with a pinch of salt as the concussion may develop later

      1. Philip Jones's Diary

So I have no Haaland, going to try and do the season without him, just to see how it goes, feel like it's a great opportunity to diversify and maybe get some higher returns elsewhere that others can't achieve.

I also feel like it's too early to do Son to KDB, but very worried about no City.

I’m thinking of wildcarding to a team with haaland in it now. I’ve had a decent start going without him. I would encourage people to do the same if they are thinking similar and to have the courage to do it. Don’t play anyone else’s strategy. Wildcards with the new transfer rules are now less important.

I wouldn't advocate a WC looking at one game (even taking a hit for 1 player in the hope they haul big time). Having said that, I have haaland

I have the Haaland fear too. But wildcarding after an 83 start is mad surely

Plus every chance Salah, Jota Trent bang against Brentford?

They were very lucky not to concede more against palace

    3. Alexis Nonsense
      • 10 Years

No Haaland is very much a good strategy.

Last season both Saka and Watkins outscored him, and many players outscored him pr. mill spent.

      I'd rather have Salah tbh

If you’ve had an 80 points + start without haaland the sure fire way to cement an early 20/30 points lead over a lot of players is to wildcard to haaland in team. If you can sit out haaland at home to Ipswich and soon Brentford then fair play to you , and at that point there would be little point in putting haaland in for a long while .
