Cannot decide who to bring down from a shortlist now.

    A. Jota
    B. Martinelli
    C. Sarr

    Thanks

Nobody can. Everyone has considered every possible Saka replacement and here is no stand out. You just have to pick one and suck it up if others haul instead.

There are standouts if you plot your team and proposed transfers until GW29.

        For me it became clear:

Arsenal - bad fixtures beyond Ipswich. Also need to use/save transfers to sell ALL players by GW29.

City - Foden/KDB fixtures but form terrible and team terrible. Also would have to sell GW23 to Bruno.

LFC - already own TAA Salah. Need more info to know the best 3rd player for the double. Probably be VVD due to xMins. Want safety for my third asset.

Bruno - Southampton is a standout fixture when others have hard game - actually a captain potential. Would most likely bring in anyway in GW23 if chose any other asset. Saves a transfer down the line. My only negative is I somehow have Mazraoui and I bought Amad recently so I’ve tripled (lol)

Bruno was just a safe, transfer saving, set piece taking, decent fixtures outside LFC game pick.

I've gone with Sarr (see below) but it's like shooting fish in the bottom of the barrel. So many options, no idea what is the best outcome.

Go use fpl .team website and check out how your team looks with transfers and where you want to be in GW24 which is a huge GW for non-casuals to go clear.

Your pick should become apparent. Realistically with DGW24 and BGW29 and the new AM chip, transfers become so important and reduce the reward of taking the risk on upside gambles.

Is this GTG and also save a FT here for two next game week? 6.3m ITB.

    Flek
    Gabriel Timber Hall
    Salah Palmer Sarr Mbeumo
    J.Pedro Isak Cunha

    Subs: Enzo Robinson Fodder

Next week may be Mbeumo+Cunha > Rogers + Haaland if it tickles my fancy.

Ode, Martinelli or even a one week pint on foden. If he does well you can keep on a WC or ode and then swaphe is their best player imo. Maybe more upside with Duran

Getting Sarr in as he has raw pace against high lines

Should do better than at home to Southampton imo, who will be more low block

Merry Christmas. Been out of the loop due to a car accident

On the mend. Nothing serious just pain. Will be fine

    2FT 0.8
    Raya
    Timber Digne Davis Castange VDB
Salah Palmer Bruno (already had him for a few weeks,)Saka Rogers
    Cunha Pedro Jackson

Thinking Saka Digne Davis Cunha to Isak TAA Munoz Sarr

Only leave 6.4 if Pedro carries on being poo

Better to go VVD? and possibly Jesus or Mateta with the money saved (would do Raya to Allison next week. Won't do it this week was hoping Konate would be back by now. Gomez is too short term but everyone was saying that mid December

I’d roll. Brentford leaky in defence, JP on pens, and lots of unknowns with Jesus’ minutes moving forward and how smoothly Arsenal’s attack will click without Saka. It was a struggle when Odegaard was out. It’d be nice to have that extra info before making that move.

Who would you bench? Have been on A all week but now having doubts.

    A.) J Pedro (Bre H)
    B.) Gordon (Avl H)

Pedro on penalties and has the better fixture but lacking form.
Gordon has the form but I also own Isak so is the double up worth it?

Bookies prefer J Pedro (56% Goal or Assist, 38% Goal) where as Gordon (44% Goal or Assist, 31% Goal)

Whilst it shouln't have any bearing on the decision Brighton also play an evening game on the 27th as opposed to boxing day, so would be a better viewer experience having an asset in that game!

    1. Honker Muddlefoot
      • 6 Years

Could see them both returning. Maybe a slight lean to JP because of just how bad Brentford have been defensively and his having extra routes to points than Gordon, but both are good options. Can’t go wrong, I think. Good luck, mate!

Jota: higher ceiling, should slot back in as #9 once his fitness is built back up, so OOP with extra point for goals from Liverpool’s best finisher with good run of fixtures and a double. Need a higher risk appetite coming in early for him, though, since he is only recently back from injury, and might depend on your frustration tolerance if he gets benched in these next couple gws while he’s building up fitness (as he showed against Fulham, though, can still be dangerous and return off the bench in those instances, too)

I have Amad too. Only because he rotates well with Roger’s and no better at his price point. Bruno you can play every game due to his set pieces and attacking threat.

What are your plans for Muñoz in def? If that’s someplace you’re looking to move, I’d probably go Pickford because I trust Everton’s defending, their fixtures improve a bit for the next 10ish gws (plus possible double thrown in), and wouldn’t want to double up on Palace defensively. If you’re not going Muñoz, I don’t hate saving the extra 0.5 by going Henderson for this upcoming run of theirs if it helps with an upgrade elsewhere, but also think Pickford just in isolation is better than Hendo. Similarly, don’t mind swapping Bruno down to Amad if those funds get you to an upgrade you’re looking for elsewhere like, for example, an Isak (good gw 21 cap option), Jackson, or Trent. If you’ve got those players/don’t want to move up to that price point in those spots, though, I think it’s okay to hold Bruno. He should tick over with points through set pieces when he plays further back, and has open play threat when he plays as a 10.

You'll be benching points regularly, but that's good during the busy season

      Think it's gtg

I think A given Brentford being poor away and missing defenders
But classic form vs. Fixtures debate

I’d play JP. Playing against a leaky Brentford def at home and on pens. I feel like I’d be kicking myself more if I benched a haul from him knowing those things ahead of time than if I benched Rogers on the road Newcastle and he returned. When in doubt, I play the fixture and back the home side.

I’m not 100% sure what his minutes look like for the next two matches combined, but if you get one start and one appearance off the bench, the returns could still be big against LEI and WHU. He doesn’t need a lot of time to rack up points, and if you look at the longer fixture run, a lot of good attacking fixtures on the horizon for Liverpool (plus a likely double), and his fitness and minutes should continue to improve with each gw.

Of course! I genuinely think he can be a really explosive pick. Just hang in there and don’t lose hope if it takes a gw or 2 to build up fitness and start stringing together starts. He’s definitely the preferred #9 whenever healthy. Good luck, mate!

Love how the Dutch are partial to a nice roll neck knit. Although there’s usually 2 outcomes.
RVN owns it and wouldn’t look out of place on the cover of GQ.
Ten Hag looked like a substitute geography teacher.

I mean, going forward your GK situation will make for a few tricky GW's. defense looks good. Not sure i fancy Brentford for the upcoming weeks, and United's a gamble, but both Mbeumo and Amad could very well pay off. Solanke's good for a few more weeks at least. Could possibly get something from Cunha, but their fixtures look tough again.
            Considered Madueke, Jackson or Enzo?
