LEWIS SAID….
GOALKEEPERS
In goal, Arthur Okonkwo (G) and Owen Goodman (G) both stand out for their clean sheet potential, with the pair in great form heading into another Double. Elsewhere, James Trafford (G) is on course to break numerous records and Burnley’s 13th consecutive clean sheet seems inevitable against Cardiff (A).
DEFENDERS
At the back, Ryan Johnson (D) is in sensational form and has two ideal fixtures to bank points. Max Cleworth (D) netted last time out for Wrexham and reached the 200-point club. Then there’s Birmingham, unbeaten in 17 – Ethan Laird (D) smashed it last time out for me, so he’s in my thinking.
MIDFIELDERS
In midfield, Taylor Allen (M) has 15 goal contributions and 27 interceptions, about to have two green FDR fixtures. Sam Gale (M) has 21 interceptions in eight outings and also has a couple of appealing match-ups. Alongside them, Daniel James (M) has 22 goal contributions and is in prolific form, he could easily haul against West Bromwich Albion (H).
FORWARDS
Matt Stevens (F) has 19 goal contributions in 32 games – a record that I expect him to extend. Elsewhere, Danny Rose (F) is in good form with five consecutive contributions and has two attractive fixtures. Four goals in five means that Niall Ennis (F) could be a nice punt, someone with 0% ownership.
GAMEWEEK 30 SCOUT SQUAD: CLUB PICKS
In terms of clubs, AFC Wimbledon are unbeaten in 12 and should win both occasions. League Two leaders Walsall have won three on the spin and are likely to extend their lead at the top.
Bradford have won four of their last five, although there’s slight concern about their tough away test. Also worth a shout are Grimsby Town, winners of their previous four games.
SCOTT SAID….
GOALKEEPERS
Owen Goodman (G), Alex Bass (G) and Sam Walker (G) stand out for me. Goodman has the most clean sheets in his division and a nice double. Bass, similarly, has a good couple of fixtures and plays in a good backline. With Walker, it’s all about Bradford recently being outstanding at the back, keeping five clean sheets in five.
DEFENDERS
In defence, I’ve gone for Ryan Johnson (D), James Wilson (D) and Carl Piergianni (D). Johnson brought in 24 points during his last double, Wilson has racked up 252 clearances in 32 games and Piergianni – one of the season’s top-scoring defenders – has a nice double.
MIDFIELDERS
My current options are Sam Gale (M), Albie Morgan (M) and Taylor Allen (M). Gale has 21 interceptions in eight games – a must for Gameweek 30. Morgan averages 6.8 points, including 15 in his most recent fixture, with a nice double on its way. As for Allen, he offers assist and goal threat, plus interceptions.
FORWARDS
Up front, it’s Alassana Jatta (F), Jamille Matt (F) and Matt Stevens (F). Jatta’s double looks strong, as he looks to increase his 19 goal contributions. Despite Matt’s poor form, he could be a great punt considering Walsall’s double. Stevens has 18 contributions so far and his couple of appealing matches make him a top pick for Double Gameweek 30.
GAMEWEEK 30 SCOUT SQUAD: CLUB PICKS
The teams I’m considering are AFC Wimbledon, Walsall, Stevenage and Leyton Orient. The Dons play Morecambe away and Bromley at home, which looks lovely – I expect them to win both.
Walsall are back to good form and I like the look of Leyton Orient’s double. Stevenage are my risky punt of the week but I do expect them to win both.
FPLREACTIONS SAID….
GOALKEEPERS
This week brings another AFC Wimbledon double again. They have the best defence in League Two, making Owen Goodman (G) a shoo-in between the sticks. Joining him is Bradford’s Sam Walker (G) and Port Vale’s Ben Amos (G), also armed with very appealing defensive fixtures.
DEFENDERS
Ryan Johnson (D) has become one of Fantasy’s best assets of late and, for me, is the Dons’ standout asset. Stevenage’s defensive action point merchant Carl Piergianni (D) faces two teams who have been out of sorts and normally has multiple routes to points. Port Vale come up against a couple of League Two’s worst attacks and their top performing asset is Connor Hall (D).
MIDFIELDERS
For once, there are plenty of great midfielder options. But rather than opting for individuals who pick up underlying statistic points, I’m selecting explosive assets who could haul. Among them is the out-of-position Davis Keillor-Dunn (M). His Barnsley side have improved recently and he enters this round in top form.
Another very capable player is Antoni Sarcevic (M), who bagged a brace in the previous round. Meanwhile, Doncaster could be a great team to look towards. Sitting third in League Two after successive wins gives me plenty of hope for talisman Luke Molyneux (M).
FORWARDS
AFC Wimbledon’s Matt Stevens (F) is a shoo-in against both Bromley and the league’s second worst defence, Morecambe.
Barrow have leaked six goals in their previous two matches. Facing them is Notts County, whose attack is spearheaded by Alassana Jatta (F) and also gets to meet Bromley.
Moreover, Walsall seem to be improving after their recent slip up. Leading their frontline is Jamille Matt (F). He may have failed to bag a return in the previous round but things could easily change in these couple of good-looking matches.
GAMEWEEK 30 SCOUT SQUAD: CLUB PICKS
Reflective of my player picks, it would be wise to make AFC Wimbledon a priority. Port Vale face two awful opponents, whilst Walsall and Notts County should also be given huge consideration.
DANNY SAID….
GOALKEEPERS
Sam Walker (G) for Bradford has been brilliant, keeping five clean sheets in five. Owen Goodman (G) has also been exceptional with 17 of them in total, with Ryan Allsop (G) needing to be considered as Birmingham look very solid at the back. They’ve collected four consecutive clean sheets.
DEFENDERS
Max Cleworth (D) comes off the back of a goal for Wrexham, bringing a very high attacking threat. Joining him is Ryan Johnson (D), someone whose clean sheets and clearance points have been right up there with the best. I expect him to carry on such fine form. Marc Roberts (D) has the potential to return big this week in this double, he made 20 clearances in his last game alone.
MIDFIELDERS
By playing out-of-position, Sam Gale (M) picks up a lot of interceptions and will also play twice this week. Davis Keillor-Dunn (M) scored a midweek brace and looks back in form again, as Antoni Sarcevic’s (M) is also on point thanks to his own brace. I’m backing a return for him.
FORWARDS
Charlie Kelman (F) has 11 goals this season and seems to be confident, so I think he can add to that tally. On 16 strikes is Matt Stevens (F), set to feature in two nice fixtures for a team flying high.
Notts County have two decent fixtures on the horizon – Alassana Jatta (F) has 20 goal contributions in 27, netting last time.
GAMEWEEK 30 SCOUT SQUAD: CLUB PICKS
AFC Wimbledon look very solid at the moment. Unbeaten in 12, they could be a great pick. On paper, Walsall should also do well, facing two bottom-half teams.
Bradford are up to second in League Two, without a loss in six. Finally, Stockport I think will have two great games against lower opposition. They sit fourth in League One and aim to join the challenge for promotion.
