THE STARTING SEVEN

GOALKEEPER

There aren’t many great options between the sticks and, for that reason, backing what you know could mean an easy decision. Burnley have amassed a huge 29 clean sheets this campaign and I think a home game against Norwich could see them add to that. Thus, James Trafford (G) is in.

DEFENDERS

The double for Doncaster makes their defence essential for Fantasy EFL Double Gameweek 36 managers. Tom Anderson (D) appears to be their standout, after racking up 37 clearances in their previous four matches. He has two good opportunities to keep a clean sheet.

Salford are the other team that’s doubling. Whilst their fixtures aren’t particularly appealing, the quantity of matches makes them a much more enticing proposition. With that in mind, Curtis Tilt (D) enters my draft. Although not prolific at racking up additional points for defensive actions, he seems to be Salford’s best bet if seeking them.

Playing just once this week, Eoghan O’Connell (D) has banked six double-digit hauls in his last eight league matches. Part of Wrexham’s elite defensive form, he’s also very consistent when it comes to picking up points for blocks, clearances and goal threat.

MIDFIELDERS

I like a few midfielders this week and arguably a shoo-in for every single draft is Luke Molyneux (M). He should arguably be playing in a better league in terms of his quality, having already amassed a huge 13 goals and 12 assists. Doncaster’s talisman also gets points for key passes and interceptions, making him an all-rounder who’s perfect for captaincy.

Whilst Salford’s Ossama Ashley (M) is tempting, I prefer the more advanced Kelly N’Mai (M), having scored twice in three matches. He also managed at least one interception in each of those.

FORWARD

Here, the game is lacking some viable options, making Charlie Kelman (F) an easy pick. Leyton Orient’s frontman has been in scintillating form recently and goes into this match on the back of netting a brace in his previous outing.

CLUB PICKS

Because both Salford and Doncaster double this week, they are easy team selections. The former have tougher fixtures, which could force managers elsewhere, but two games are enough to cement them in my draft.
