Villa v Spurs moved but stays in FPL Gameweek 37 – confirmed

After the Telegraph’s initial Tuesday morning news, Aston Villa have announced that their Gameweek 37 fixture against Tottenham Hotspur has been moved to Friday 16 May (7.30pm BST kick-off).

It was previously scheduled for Sunday 18 May, but Spurs raised concerns over the timing of the match due to their potential participation in the UEFA Europa League final a few days later.

Crucially for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, it means that Villa and Spurs still get to take part in Gameweek 37, with Chelsea v Manchester United already taking place on that Friday night.

Speaking of which, the Blues have revealed that their initial 8pm BST kick-off has now been pushed back to 8:15pm.

All this means that FPL’s current 6:30pm deadline will get moved forward to 6pm.

It also confirms there won’t be any more Blank or Double Gameweeks this season.

    Is KdB essential this week for a -4 or can he wait a week for free. The -4 is potentially Isak out as well.

    Revisited the BB options, between the two below:

    1) GW36 Areola/Trippier/Isak in starting XI, bench: Raya (liv) Rogers (bou) Konsa (bou) Munoz (tot)

    2) GW37 moving Isak to Watkins, Areola/Konsa/Munoz in starting XI, bench: Raya (NEW) Rogers (TOT) Milenkovic (whu) Trippier (ars)

    Thoughts?

    I still have the triple up on Palace, but wondering how much their minutes will be managed with the FA Cup Final the week after. There is a week of recovery time, but I am worried we might see key players subbed off pre-60. What do others think? Good minutes vs Spurs, or am I correct to be worried?

    My 3 are Eze, Mateta and Munoz.

          City are still competing for top 5 UCL spots so Pep will pick the best team against Bournemouth with/without KDB imo. KDB will get mins in the game assuming fit

            Its KDB's last home game too. Saying that theres a chance City are already guarenteed top 5 by then depending on results for the other sides in 36/37 as they all play before City in 37.

    I’m chasing in ML and if I think my rival captains KDB next (no tc for him left), I’ll put it on Mbuemo.

          Logistics. Travelling back and forth between Birmingham and London, before London to Spain.

          They want to move the game to make all that easier. Rather than because of the XI they will play.

          Playing Villa on Friday means everyone at the club can have a day off/travelling on Saturday and then Monday and Tuesday to solely focus on the final whilst all being together in the right country. Playing on the Sunday would have meant everything all over the place with limited time before the final.

    Replacing Joao Pedro (I know) this week. My god the striker replacement options are tight. Fomo all over the place.

    If there are any convincing cases to differentiate Wood, Wissa, Cunha (or rolling and stashing for Watkins), I'm all ears

      I'm between Wissa and Cunha. Can't see any appeal in Wood outside the fact it's a game vs Lei. I'm considering Isak to Watkins but if so, not this week. Tough to call Wissa vs Cunha, Cunha with higher haul potential imo, the immediate fixture is probably better for Wissa, Wissa also with secured xMins, tho I'm still tempted by Cunha...

      I think, in order of fixtures, it goes Wissa, Cunha, Marmoush, Wood, Watkins, Isak.

      Marmoush isn't doing it though, and Forest are not providing for Wood (who doesn't do anything outside of being fed chances), so i'm going Wissa, Cunha, then Marmoush to Watkins in 37, or Marmoush to Evanilson for 38.

    I want to get KDB this week which will involve a hit but my dilemma is do I get the additional funds by downgrading by 2nd keeper or use the hit to get Cunha who I would like to own

    Leading my ML by 25 points. Second place has Konsa, Saka, Murphy and Wood as differentials. He’s likely to bring in Bowen or KDB for Murphy

    Should I block by bringing in Bowen (for Sarr - already have KDB) or Wood (for Evanilson)? Or better off rolling the FT? See my team below:

    Would you get Aina or RAN? Playing BB and already have Sels & Milenk and so Aina would mean triple Forest defence v LEI. I like RAN's attacking potential but feel a cleanie isn't likely against Brighton
