West Ham v Chelsea team news: Palmer injured in warm-up

Gameweek 2 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) gets underway on Friday, with West Ham United and Chelsea both looking to secure their first wins of the 2025/26 season.

Kick-off at the London Stadium is at 20:00 BST.

Chelsea make three changes from their clash with Crystal Palace last Sunday.

Malo Gusto and the fit-again Tosin Adarabioyo come in for Reece James and Josh Acheampong at the back.

Further forward, Liam Delap starts alongside Joao Pedro, with Jamie Gittens dropping to the bench.

West Ham boss Graham Potter makes just one alteration from the side that lost 3-0 at Sunderland, as Tomas Soucek is preferred to Guido Rodriguez in midfield.

The main Fantasy interest is in the visitors.

Joao Pedro is in more than half of FPL squads, while Robert Sanchez and Marc Cucurella‘s ownership is over 20%.

*UPDATE: Cole Palmer is out of tonight’s match due to an injury suffered in the warm-up. Estevao comes in for the Chelsea midfielder.

      Most pleased with my non-knee jerkiness.

      Last week my team had:

      Wirtz 2 King 2 Saka 3 + Salah and then
      Bowen 2 Watkins 2 Pedro 2 (4/C).

      I did not touch a thing, not a transfer, not the captain, not even a substitution - have even kept Konsa in.

        Ya they have two distinct attack shapes

        The CRY one is cucurella very attacking and central, with Palmer deep and Neto right wing

        This (PSG one) is Gusto wide right, cucerella more defensive and Palmer would be cutting inside from the right causing havoc.

        Not sure we can read much on Pedro here as West Ham are so bad.

      Feeling somewhat lucky as someone who sold Palmer on WC based on the fact of the previous position, if he was in the starting Ram postion it could have been brutal

        Feels good having Pedro and as captain, but also have Bowen.

        I signed everyone for two games - H and A but Bowen was probably one I was most set on keeping long term. Not sure now.
