Two more Premier League matches kick off at 14:00 BST today.

Crystal Palace host Nottingham Forest, while Everton welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

TEAM NEWS

Chris Richards and Tyrick Mitchell, who were rested in Thursday’s UEFA Conference League play-off first-leg against Fredrikstad, return to the Crystal Palace starting XI.

Jefferson Lerma and Borna Sosa drop to the bench.

Eberechi Eze was replaced by £4.5m Justin Devenny in midweek, and the youngster keeps his place.

Forest are unchanged from the side that beat Brentford last time out.

New signings Douglas Luiz, James McAtee, Omari Hutchinson and Arnaud Kalimuendo are all on the bench.

Jack Grealish and Thierno Barry are both handed starts in Everton’s first outing in their new stadium.

Carlos Alcaraz and Beto have to make do with a place on the bench.

Danny Welbeck has been restored to the Brighton line-up in place of Georginio Rutter, who isn’t in the matchday squad.

Expected Palace to be tired and having lost Eze will a bit out of rythm, but they are beating a well rested Forest. Should we still take their assets seriously even with the Thursday games?

I think Sarr is one of the most underrated picks in the game. His underlying stats from last season are amongst the best. He's a good price, nailed and plays for a good team that can beat anyone on their day.

Glad I didn't waver on him for the GW1 squad.

with eze palace would've created a few more decent chances already imo, devenney has had space. but yeah they still good, forest abit disjointed at the minute defensively. getting passed through the lines with some ease

dont think Thursday matches will be too bad for palace, they're hardly playing vs top teams. plus if im not mistaken, they only have 6 group stage matches

either way their defence is rock solid

Would you do Palmer and guiu to Gordon and mateta for -4? Means benching kdh (which should be a good idea anyway)

      1. Ajax Hamsterdam

Could also sell kdh for Sarr instead of guiu and play 352

However, 3 more popular players in my team have now been injured so far this week (Saka, Palmer & RAN), so FHing could see me losing money on all of them before my WC in GW4 (or maybe 5). Do you think I should continue with the plan to FH? I won't be keeping Saka on the WC, and Palmer & RAN are in the Maybe pile.

I already missed out on the Haaland price rise, and would want to make the decision soon (maybe today) so I can start bringing in other players who may rise. Here's my team:

      Verbruggen
      Cucurella Munoz RAN*
      Wirtz Zubimendi Palmer* Saka*
      Gyokeres Ekitike Pedro(c)

Bizot | King (che), Diouf, AWB (NFO) | 1FT. 0.5 ITB

      1. Deulofail
        • 10 Years
        8 months, 1 day ago

        Fail. First paragraph should be:

I'm facing a bit of a dilemma. Plan was to FH this coming week since I had 6 Arsenal and Liverpool players playing each other (5 now that I sold Frimpong for Munoz).

        1. adstomko
          • 9 Years
          8 months, 1 day ago

Similar situation here. I think it’s worth the FH and stomaching the loss in value, which will probably come to 0.5 in total max.
Then, you can assess if Palmer needs to go as well as Saka.
GW3 is full of equal-matched teams which could be 2 pointers all round

          1. Deulofail
            • 10 Years
            8 months, 1 day ago

Oof, 0.5 would be huge. I would hope that lots of wildcards minimise the price drops. And some intervention from Mark at the towers who own Saka and Palmer

      2. Ajax Hamsterdam
        • 11 Years

Wait for news from Palmer and Saka imo

      3. ZeBestee
        • 11 Years
        8 months, 1 day ago

I think Saka will most probably be out for longer out of the 3, so he needs to go first. For Palmer you wait while Ait Nouri can be benched for Diouf.

        1. ZeBestee

          Also Zubi to someone else.

You're suggesting taking a hit to sell Saka & Zubimendi and benching Palmer and RAN for Diouf and King/AWB?

Would result in a pretty awful looking GW3 team I think :/ Not that I have a lot of choice (unless I FH). I think Zubi could be decent value against Liverpool, though. Would be almost *expecting* a 4-pointer at a minimum.

I have similar issues. Saka pulled his hammy so we can pretty much say goodbye to him till after the International break. Eze could be a good pick.

Palmer may be ok with an extra week of rest.

This week has been awful. Saka going off injured was really the nail in the coffin. Captained him and he went off just as Arsenal started to get momentum. Was my last chance to salvage this week.

Remember to trust your gut more often. A few days ago I asked for thoughts about captaining João Pedro as West Ham were so poor, and the overwhelming consensus was that I shouldn't - so I stuck with Haaland as the safe bet. I know normally that'd be the correct move, but now I'm kicking myself.

I'm not blaming anyone but myself, and I did ask for the advice - but sometimes it pays to do what you feel like!

      1. ZeBestee

But Pedro could have as well be benched, so it was a bit of a risky pick. He looks very good now going forward though

Going Villa instead of Palace assets derailed the start of the season for me.

The only team which looked worse that Villa so far is West Han.

I think Villa and Newcastle fall off substantially. Neither team is in a good space, little investment, lots of negativity. Highest either gets is probably 8th.

Newcastle played well last week though, granted against a poor Villa. Will be interesting to see how they play tomorrow against Liverpool. That will be a good gauge of where they are.

I think both will be okay but competing on two fronts

European and domestic under financial constraints is tying one arm behind the back of the squad.

Collymore claims PSR increases wages because players can hold out for a premium because they have less room for manoeuvre, or something? I didn't really follow his thread.
