The Scout Squad sees our in-house team discuss who they think the best Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players are for Gameweek 3 in isolation.

Sam, Marc, Tom F and Neale explain their picks for the upcoming Gameweek in the article below.

Scout Squad Gameweek 1

The focus is only on the upcoming Gameweek with the Scout Squad, so there’s no medium-term planning involved.

The players who get the most votes are much more likely to make the Scout Picks, although the final XI can’t exceed £83.0m – so occasionally, we have to source cheaper alternatives.

Each of our writers must meet the following requirements for this feature:

  • At least one sub-£5.0m goalkeeper
  • At least one sub-£5.0m defender
  • At least one sub-£6.0m midfielder
  • At least one sub-£7.0m forward
  • No more than three players from the same club

        its a 50/50 call between ped and woods

        both returned well in one game week and both blanked against crystal palace

        only difference is pedro played westham gw2 so his "essentialness" is more recent

              i would say west ham are far more dire than fulham currently

              so should be letting in more goals

          I put I'm Ndoye this week. 6m a nice price, against a shaky West Ham side and returned 1g 1assist already in his first 2 games. Nice differential pick there IMO

          For those of us of a certain age, it feels bizarre to have an England squad without a single player from Liverpool or Man Utd. Understandable reasons why not, but still feels strange.

          Kudus (TOT), O. Dango (BRE) or Ndoye (NFO)? Almost same price range, fixtures the upper hand for Kudus and Ndoye, O. Dango not so much and he is from a less fancy team

            Hard. Kudus mostly looks like an assister at Spurs. Ndoye looks sharp. Dango is a monster going forward. I would say Kudus because he has the most time on the ball to create.
