The Fantasy EFL Gameweek 7 deadline is fast approaching, with a Championship fixture kicking us off on Friday evening.

To help fine-tune your final 7+2’s, we have a Gameweek 7 team reveal courtesy of our very own Louis (aka FPLReactions). He finished inside last season’s top 200.

GOALKEEPER

It makes sense to back the Bristol Rovers defence this week. They have three clean sheets in the league already and host Barrow in Gameweek 7. I’m not convinced with any of their defenders, so Luke Southwood (G) makes the cut.

DEFENDERS

West Brom are another side that appeal this week from a defensive perspective. A home meeting with Derby makes me think we could see another clean sheet from the Baggies. Their standout option at the back is Nathaniel Phillips (D), who scored in his latest league game.

The last time Wimbledon played at home in the league, they kept a clean sheet against a firing Barnsley side. Because of this, and the fact that they play a very poor Rotherham team this week, I have gone for Ryan Johnson (D). Johnson was their standout defender pick last season and that does not seem to have changed. Taking all of that into account, he also gets the captaincy armband.

I’m less sure on my third defender slot. I like Nathan Smith (D) this week, who has a home game against Northampton. But, I don’t fully trust Tranmere as of yet for some reason. This pick could well change, but Smith regularly picks up additional points for defensive actions, so he makes the cut so far.

MIDFIELDERS

Barnsley have impressed me from an attacking perspective this season. One of their most influential players is Davis Keillor-Dunn (M), who scored a brace in his most recent match. Three of his four goals this season have been scored at home, which is where he plays this week.

Another player I’m not sure on is Ossama Ashley (M). The Salford man has been out of action with injury, but he both played 19 minutes and scored in the recent round. Ashley is an interception magnet too, so if I see him on the team sheet this weekend, I’m likely to stick with him.

FORWARDS

It is very difficult to look past Omari Patrick (F) this week. Tranmere may not be one of the most consistent sides in the league, but they have been convincing from an attacking perspective. A lot of that is due to Patrick, who has produced a double-digit haul in four of his previous five matches.

CLUB PICKS

Three wins in their previous four league matches and unbeaten in the Championship thus far makes me think West Brom are a team to back this week. Not only do I think the Baggies could win at home against Derby, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them score a few goals and keep a clean sheet.

Whilst Swindon aren’t as strong as I would like them to be in regard to defence, they continue to win and rack up the goals. A home clash with Harrogate Town is another great opportunity to extend their fantastic start to the season.
