GAMEWEEK 8 REVIEW

FPL General’s Gameweek 9 team reveal + transfer plans

Does anyone have a decent forward that I could sign on loan? What a disaster these have been in recent weeks.

Hopefully, a brace in midweek brace will see Viktor Gyokeres (£9.0m) kick on and do what we expected him to do at Arsenal. As much as I can’t wait to sell Joao Pedro (£7.5m), he’s going to survive for at least one more week, due to other priorities.

Captain Bukayo Saka (£10.0m) somehow managed a 14-pointer without any attacking returns, which was very sweet. Bruno Fernandes (£8.9m) did the business by setting up the winner over Liverpool, while Daniel Munoz (£5.6m) registered two assists. What a Fantasy gem he is.

Aside from those three, it wasn’t a great Gameweek. Fingers crossed that this one will be more productive.

Everyone who owns Gabriel will start him. If he doesnt start he doesnt play. It messes up BB9 plans thats all.

BB11 looks ok for me having WC8 and I will have 5 FTs next GW to play with if needed.

I also asked my Arsenal-fan mate his thoughts on Gabriel (he is a season ticket holder and I ask him for opinions every week).

He doesn’t get inside info, but knows the club about as well anyone could without having inside info.

      He response was this:

      Gabi will play.

Damn it, I'm bench boosting anyway. If Gabriel doesn't play, I will have KDH, Tark and Dubravka to score me a few points. My last BB got me 6 pts so it's not a high bar to clear.

Thinking the same. I swear we had this same kerfuffle over Gabriel a few weeks ago and he was fine. Has played every minute so far. And Palace is not the game to rest him.

This bench boost decision is killing me. Bench is: Stach, Van De Ven, Rodon and Dubravka. But I have Gabriel.

Options are: 1) BB anyway; 2) wait for 11. Leeds and Burnley are decent in 11, but not as good as 9. VDV would be gone by then. I'm totally torn.

Same dilemma. I'm doing BB9. Just need to get it done so my planning can be free of it. BB11 may work but there's multiple games between now and then and presumably more injuries and hassles.

    Haaland | Gyo | Woltemade

I have all three of Gabriel Alderete and Andersen, should i deal with some of them (probably Andersen) or should I just hold as there is no better options on those price points than them? Of course BB9 is now out of the queation. I have 3 FTs and my plan was to roll and to do some transfers for GW10

    1. MJF
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member
      • 7 Years

If you've got the luxury of 3 FTs I think you've got to move Andersen out so you are guaranteed to field a full 11. Even though I do feel Gabriel plays.

    2. BUZZBOMB ♡
      • 11 Years
      3 months, 16 days ago

Id roll. You'll want to keep Gabriel and theres not many options at 4.5 or below if you have Dubravka and maybe Leeds already. Sunderland have tough GW9 and GW11 fixtures too. An extra tf will give you good flex next GW.

Yeah i do have Dubravka and Stach only healthy players on my bench. I feel like Gabi aswell but its very tricky situation. I also lean towards rolling
