NOTES
- Michael Cooper remains my goalkeeper of choice. Sheffield United have strong fixtures, and with their defensive performances improving each week, he feels due a clean sheet.
- In defence, Tristan Crama is my first selection. He offers solid clean-sheet potential for Millwall and regularly picks up bonus points through clearances and defensive actions. Alongside him is Bobby Thomas, a dependable Coventry City option with good fixtures and a place in one of the league’s strongest backlines.
- Tommy Doyle is the first name in my midfield. His minutes look secure, he has a reliable floor, and his set-piece involvement boosts his appeal further. Imran Louza is the standout midfielder this week, continuing to tick along with strong contributions and consistent returns, which is why he takes the captaincy. Callum O’Hare completes the trio – he’s in excellent form and remains central to Sheffield United’s attacking play in these favourable fixtures.
- Up front, Brandon Thomas-Asante leads the line. He has been central to Coventry’s attacking output all season and comes into this Gameweek in great form. This looks like another strong opportunity to back him.
- My team picks are Ipswich Town and Millwall. Ipswich remain a top attacking side with appealing fixtures, while Millwall arguably have the best defensive schedule on paper this week.

NOTES
- With the international break behind us, the schedule tightens again – especially for Championship sides- and we head straight into another double Gameweek. Here’s my updated view on the standout assets for Gameweek 17.
- Sheffield United, after a dreadful start, finally look more settled with key players like Gustavo Hamer, Tahith Chong and Oliver Arblaster returning to influence matches. Their arch-rivals, Sheffield Wednesday, continue to struggle, and a home fixture against Portsmouth is as favourable as it gets. Ideally, I’d target one of the Blades’ defenders, but rotation feels likely across the back line, which makes Michael Cooper the safest and most reliable route into their defence.
- In defence more broadly, I’m also leaning toward an Ipswich Town pick, with Dara O’Shea the most consistent and stable option. Millwall share the same fixtures as Sheffield United, which keeps Tristan Crama firmly on my radar. He’s their most secure defensive starter – especially important this week with Cooper suspended.
- In midfield, Imran Louza feels close to an automatic selection. His form is exceptional, and going without him in a double looks unnecessarily risky. For Sheffield Wednesday, Barry Bannan remains the heartbeat of the team; he offers creativity, set pieces and the work rate to produce returns even when the side underperforms. Scott Twine also stands out thanks to his elite free-kick ability, and Coventry’s fixtures are strong enough to justify backing him.
- Up front, the clearest forward choice this week is Brandon Thomas-Asante. His form is excellent, his ownership is high, and avoiding him in a double Gameweek feels like a major risk.
- Overall, Ipswich Town and Sheffield United look the strongest teams to target based on fixtures, form and reliability. Both offer multiple viable assets and should play a key role in navigating this busy stretch.

NOTES
- Michael Cooper starts in goal, as he offers the strongest clean-sheet potential this week. Sheffield United have excellent fixtures, and their defensive numbers are trending in the right direction.
- At the back, I’m going with Christoph Klarer, who should be defensively solid with fixtures against a struggling Norwich side and a West Brom team that don’t score many. He’s partnered by Dara O’Shea, who combines clean-sheet appeal with strong attacking threat.
- In midfield, Imran Louza is an automatic pick. He has been outstanding this season and offers multiple routes to points; that’s why he takes the armband. Hayden Hackney comes in for his all-round contribution, while Victor Torp adds goal threat and consistent interceptions.
- Up front, the captaincy currently sits with Brandon Thomas-Asante, who has been electric this season. With 10 goals already, I fancy him to add to his tally in this round.
- For team picks, I’m backing Ipswich Town, who have excellent fixtures on paper, and Sheffield United, who I believe are ready to turn their season around – and this Gameweek looks like the ideal moment.

NOTES
- Formation: 2-3-1
- Captain: Tristan Crama (MIL)
- Team Picks: Ipswich and Birmingham City
- Rank: 3,093
- It’s my favourite kind of week in Fantasy EFL – a Championship Double Gameweek. We also have four League One teams on a DGW, so there’s plenty of opportunity to target upside across the divisions.
- GK – Viktor Johansson (STO – 5.4% selected) – I’ll keep this simple: Johansson is one of the best goalkeepers in the Championship this season. He has six clean sheets and 43 saves, giving him a strong floor in almost every fixture. I’m backing him for save points against Leicester and a clean sheet opportunity versus Charlton.
- DEF – Tristan Crama (MIL – 9.1% selected) & Charlie Goode (STE – 2.6% selected) – Both defenders have been excellent performers so far. Crama averages 6.1 points per appearance, while Goode averages 6.2, making them consistent options. They each face teams sitting at the bottom of their respective leagues – sides that struggle for goals – which boosts their clean-sheet potential even further.
- MID – Anis Mehmeti (BRC – 2.9% selected), Harvey White (STE – 0.6% selected) & Marcelino Núñez (IPS – 0.3% selected) – Mehmeti boasts some of the best goal involvement numbers in the Championship this season (five goals, four assists) and gets two strong fixtures against a weakened Swansea defence and an open Wrexham side. White is a complete all-round midfielder with multiple routes to points – tackles, interceptions, passing, creativity – he offers it all. Núñez could be in for a huge week, with his attacking threat now paired with matches against Wrexham and Hull City, two sides who have struggled badly defensively.
- FWD – Jay Stansfield (BIR – 3.8% selected)- Striker was the toughest position to solve, but Stansfield gets the nod. Birmingham have favourable fixtures, and Stansfield has already delivered eight goal involvements (six goals, two assists) in 14 appearances. His combination of form and fixtures makes him the standout option for this round.
- Team Picks – I’m targeting teams with strong attacking upside against opponents who concede high xGC. Ipswich Town face two of the weakest defensive sides in the league on that metric, and Birmingham City take on a Norwich team who have forgotten how to defend, followed by a West Bromwich Albion side who have forgotten how to score. These matchups make both clubs ideal teams to target in DGW17.

NOTES
- For the goalkeeper spot, I have chosen Michael Cooper. I really like the home fixtures for Sheffield United this week, especially since both opposing teams generate only around one xG per 90 minutes. As a result, I think it is worth having some defensive cover from Sheffield United.
- Moving into defence, my first pick is Christoph Klarer. I really like the fixtures for Birmingham City from a defensive point of view, particularly because they are strong at home. Additionally, in their second fixture, they face a West Brom side who aren’t the most attacking team. Klarer is reliable for defensive bonus, and he also offers some goal threat, which further boosts his appeal. My second defender is Tristan Crama. I really like the Millwall fixtures, especially the second game at home to Sheffield Wednesday. Millwall are not a bad defence, and therefore I think Crama has a good chance of at least one clean sheet.
- Moving on to midfield, I have picked Imran Louza. He has multiple routes to points and has been in brilliant form, so he feels like a must-pick this week. Next up, I have chosen Callum O’Hare, who has also been in good form for Sheffield United, with three goals and one assist in his last six games. Sheffield United have two nice fixtures, and O’Hare’s ability to return points in several ways makes him an excellent option. My final midfielder this week is Hayden Hackney. Middlesbrough don’t have the best fixtures. However, I still feel that Hackney’s routes to points give him strong potential to score well across the two matches.
- Finally, onto the forwards, I have picked Jay Stansfield. Birmingham have two nice fixtures this week against a struggling Norwich side at home, and additionally they face West Brom, who haven’t impressed recently. Stansfield should get two starts and strong minutes; he loves a shot and should remain on penalties, despite missing the last one. Therefore, I think he is a solid pick this week.
- In terms of teams, the first one I have gone for is Millwall. I really like their fixtures this week, especially because they face two sides that are not the strongest defensively. As a result, I expect Millwall to get some joy across both matches. My second team this week is Birmingham. I really like both of their games. Norwich are struggling, and West Brom have struggled in attack. So overall, Birmingham assets look well-positioned to perform.
