NOTES
- Aynsley Pears is my goalkeeper this week. Blackburn have two of the best fixtures on paper and they’ve tightened up defensively over the last few games, so the clean-sheet chances look very decent.
- My first defender is Lloyd Jones. He has a very strong floor thanks to his bonus potential, along with two good fixtures for clean sheets and even a bit of attacking threat. With the run they have, he feels like a really nice option.
- Alongside him, I’ve gone with Japhet Tanganga. He’s a straightforward route into the Sheffield United defence, which I want to target this week. They have two great fixtures and have looked much better at the back in recent games.
- In midfield, Imran Louza is the first name in. He’s probably the best overall asset this week, even while sitting on four yellow cards. He ticks along nicely, averaging around nine points per game, with multiple routes to points.
- Joining him is Ilias Chair. He has two home fixtures and a great floor, and you always know exactly what you’re getting with him.
- The final midfield spot goes to Finn Azaz. He’s becoming a really important player for Southampton, with two strong attacking fixtures. He looks sharp and offers a genuine all-round threat.
- Up front, I’m backing Yousef Salech. His underlying numbers are excellent, and even though the second fixture is tougher, the first one alone makes him very hard to ignore. He’s playing with confidence, is in good form, and is taking on a key role.
- For club picks this week, I’m going with Sheffield United and Watford, who in my opinion both have favourable fixtures and are in good form.

NOTES
- Pears is in goal for his two very nice home fixtures.
- At the back, I’ve gone with Jones and Ben Cabango for their strong bonus potential.
- Sheffield United’s Callum O’Hare comes in for his all-round play and multiple routes to points. Louza is included for similar reasons, picking up points from interceptions and goal involvement, and he also benefits from great fixtures. Azaz is selected for his current form and two home games.
- Up front, Andri Gudjohnsen is in as he’s been on fire recently, scoring six goals in his last eight games.
- For club picks this week, I’m backing Watford and Blackburn, as both sides have strong home fixtures and I can see them doing well.
- Captain: Callum O’Hare.

NOTES
- Formation: 2-3-1
- Captain: Ethan Galbraith (SWA)
- Team Picks: MID & BLA
- Rank: 3,685
- After my ‘One Club’ chip disasterclass, where I managed a disappointing 37 points in DGW18, I really need to kick on from here and start climbing the rankings. Expect to see fewer risky picks from this point onwards.
- GK – Sam Walker (BRA – 1.7% selected) – Bradford face two of the weakest attacking sides in League One this week. Plymouth are also without Tolaj due to suspension, which increases Walker’s chances of a clean sheet.
- DEFs – Joe Wright (BRA – 0.9% selected) & Ryan Alebiosu (BLA – 8.5% selected) – I’m doubling up on the Bradford defence. Wright is a monster for clearances and also offers attacking threat from set pieces, as he demonstrated in his last game where he hauled a huge 19-point return. Alebiosu has two home fixtures against Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford – two sides that aren’t prolific in front of goal. He carries both clean-sheet potential and attacking threat, with four assists already this season.
- MIDs – Anis Mehmeti (BTN – 4.8% selected), Hayden Hackney (MID – 2.5% selected) & Ethan Galbraith (SWA – 0.6% selected) – Mehmeti continues to be a key threat for Bristol City. He has registered 18 shots on target and 31 key passes, leading to 13 goal involvements (six goals, seven assists). With two home fixtures against Millwall and Leicester, he should get further opportunities to add to those numbers. Hackney provides balance and multiple routes to points through his all-round game. He gets shots away, consistently finds key passes, and contributes with interceptions. He now has eight goal involvements (three goals, five assists) to his name as a result. Galbraith is my under-the-radar pick this week. He has been offering multiple routes to points through goals, shots on target, and interceptions in recent games for Swansea. He has two home fixtures against Oxford and Portsmouth. So, I expect him to continue finding those routes to points through the midfield battle.
- FWD – Andri Gudjohnsen (BLA – 1.0% selected) – Gudjohnsen is in solid form for Rovers at the moment, having scored six goals from just 11 shots on target – a conversion rate of an impressive 54.5%. His two home fixtures against poor defensive teams this week provide the perfect opportunity for him to add to that tally.
- Team Picks – I’m trying not to overcomplicate it this week. I think Middlesbrough have the ability to win their matches and maximise away win points. Meanwhile, Blackburn also have favourable home fixtures. Both look well placed to deliver.

NOTES
- For the goalkeeper spot, I have chosen Pears. I really like Blackburn’s two home fixtures this week from a defensive perspective. They face two of the weakest attacking sides away from home. That makes a defensive asset a strong pick.
- In defence, my first selection is Jones. Charlton have two home fixtures, with the first match especially appealing for clean-sheet potential. Jones also carries goal threat and regularly earns defensive bonus. That makes him a very solid pick this week. My second defender is Wright. I like Bradford’s two fixtures this week. Wright averages over 11 clearances per game. With favourable fixtures to go with it, he is more than capable of a big score.
- Moving into midfield, my first pick is O’Hare. The Sheffield United midfielder has one goal, four assists, and plenty of key passes in his last six games. He has multiple routes to points and two home fixtures. Sheffield United have improved defensively and offensively, so some coverage feels essential. My second midfielder is Chair. He has been ticking along nicely since returning from injury. He has scored 49 points in his last six games and continues to offer several routes to returns. My final midfielder is Scott Twine. I like the two home fixtures and Bristol City are getting key players back. Both Millwall and Leicester are good opponents for attacking returns at home. Twine also offers multiple ways to score points.
- Up front, I have gone with Adam Armstrong. The fixtures are not the easiest, but both matches are at home against sides who struggle away. The main appeal is his shot volume. He has registered eight shots on target in his last four games, scoring three goals in that time. Southampton have improved, and with two home fixtures he looks well worth backing.
- For team picks, my first choice is Watford. They have two strong home fixtures and the fourth-best home record in the league this season. They also face two sides who struggle on their travels. That makes them a very solid selection. My second team pick is Bradford City. They face the two teams with the worst home records in League One. Bradford have lost only once away this season, drawing five. With the opposition struggling at home, I’m hoping they can come away with two positive results.

NOTES
- Blackburn’s defence has been excellent. In fact, they have only conceded twice in their last two matches, with both goals coming in stoppage time against Wrexham and Ipswich. As a result, Pears offers strong clean-sheet potential. In addition, he brings valuable save points. Therefore, he is a reliable pick for the double gameweek.
- Charlton are struggling defensively. However, Lloyd Jones continues to deliver regardless. Recently, he has scored 19 fantasy points in the last three rounds. Because of this, his individual consistency stands out. As a result, he is a strong pick again this week.
- Tanganga is a guaranteed starter for Sheffield United. Furthermore, their defence is in good form. On top of that, the fixtures are favourable. Therefore, he carries strong clean-sheet potential.
- Azaz is a creative midfielder with clear goal threat. Meanwhile, Southampton have excellent fixtures. In addition, he is in good form. Because of this, he also has strong captaincy potential this round.
- O’Hare was vital during Hamer’s absence. As a result, he drove Sheffield United’s recent good results. Moreover, he is a reliable starter. Consequently, he offers strong potential for returns.
- Imran Louza is Watford’s main creator. In addition, he is also on set pieces. The fixtures are very strong. However, he is on four yellow cards, which adds risk. Even so, it still feels dangerous to go without him.
- Salech is an emerging forward with strong attacking numbers. Furthermore, he offers excellent double-gameweek upside. Cardiff’s fixtures are favourable. However, Rubin Colwill missing the first match is a small concern for creativity.
- Finally, Blackburn and Sheffield United both have two home matches. Once again, the fixtures are favourable. For that reason, they are strong team picks this round.
@FPLReaction

NOTES
- In goal I have opted for Pears. He is a solid route into the Blackburn Rovers defence and they have two great fixtures this week.
- There aren’t lots of great options at the back this week. Because of this, Jones with two home matches feels like a lock. I also want a Sheffield United defender and Tanganga is their standout.
- In midfield, Louza being on four yellows is a concern. However, he is the best available option in the game this week. I also think he could be the best captaincy option. He is joined by Azaz and O’Hare who are a shoo-in for me.
- Up top I like Armstrong. He is one of few strikers who will likely start both matches. I don’t mind Salech. However, he usually gets rotated in quick turnarounds like this one.
- My team picks are Blackburn Rovers and Watford. Both play very poor sides at home. I also like Sheffield United this week. But, I do think their game against Stoke City is tricky.
- I’m not completely keen on Louza captaincy. If he picks up a yellow card he misses the second game which would be a disaster. There is a chance I also give the armband to Jones. But, I think captaining a defender is extremely boring.
