NOTES

  • The Free Hit is now behind us, which shifts the focus firmly to Gameweeks 17 and 18 ahead of the first Wildcard. Overall, my squad looks well set for this short run, so I want to keep disruption to a minimum.
  • That said, one issue needs monitoring. Matteo Gabbia remains a doubt at the time of writing, which forces me to plan for the possibility that he misses the trip to Verona.
  • If he fails to recover, I have two clear routes. On the one hand, I could maintain my AC Milan defensive double-up by moving to Davide Bartesaghi. However, I currently lean towards a different solution.
  • Instead, Andrea Cambiaso looks more appealing. Juventus face two very favourable fixtures across this period, with the meeting against Pisa in particular standing out. Because of that, switching to a Juventus defender feels like the higher-upside move.
  • On the other hand, if Gabbia proves fit, the plan stays simple. I will hold the transfer, keep the squad intact, and roll into a clean dead-end ahead of Gameweek 18.
  • As a result, flexibility remains the priority. I want to carry momentum through these final two rounds before resetting the squad with the Wildcard.

NOTES

  • Having carried a free transfer before playing my Quick Fix chip, I now have two at my disposal to navigate GW17.
  • I’ll be playing my Rebuild Squad chip in GW19, so I don’t need to worry about holding my current DGW players. With Matteo Gabbia unlikely to be available for AC Milan’s game against Verona, he and Victor Nelsson (who faces a tough run of fixtures) will likely both make way this week
  • AC Milan and Juventus have favourable upcoming fixtures, so Gabbia and Nelsson to Davide Bartesaghi and Bremer is one potential transfer combination. However, Fabiano Parisi’s recent performances on the wing for Fiorentina have also caught my eye, so I may consider a move for him and Lloyd Kelly instead.

NOTES

  • After an average Quick Fix week, my team returns to its normal structure. Because of that, I currently plan to roll the transfer. There are not many moves I like this week, and the few that do appeal would likely require a second free transfer to release funds elsewhere.
  • That said, injury news could still force my hand.
  • Matteo Gabbia remains one to monitor. He should not miss more than one match, which makes me reluctant to sell a player with a double gameweek ahead. As a result, I am leaning towards holding unless the situation changes.
  • Giovanne creates more uncertainty. I still lack clarity on the length of his absence, so I need more information before making a call.
  • Therefore, the plan stays flexible. If the news improves, I will roll the transfer. If doubts remain, I will move on one of the injury concerns and adjust accordingly.

NOTES

  • I’ll be Wildcarding ahead of Gameweek 19, so any moves will be for the next two rounds.
  • It’s pretty straightforward this week. Berisha is injured and looks set to miss out long-term. I don’t actually have the budget spare to replace him adequately.
  • I think, taking into account Milan’s next two fixtures, there is a good chance, barring injury, that I take a punt on Ruben Loftus-Cheek. He isn’t massively convincing, but I think he’s a fun two-week pick. It would also give me an attacking Milan double-up.
  • Good luck!
