    What would you do?
    A: Senesi, Thiago, Ektike -> Matheus N., Bowen, Watkins(-8)
    B: Senesi, Thiago -> Digne, Watkins(-4)
    C: Senesi, Wilson -> Digne, Rogers (-4)

    This is my current team. Would you use free hit on this team. They have some tough match ups. Maybe bring in someone like Watkins & Bowen on free hit

    Verbruggen(bur)
    VVD(ful) / Anderson(liv) / O’Reilly(che)
    Foden(che) / Rice & Saka(bou) / Gordon(cry) / Wilson(liv)
    Haaland(che) / Ekitike (ful)

          I got him last GW. 18pts and 88 + 90 mins. Maybe some risk with Doku back from injury, Semenyo incoming, City squad depth/Pep roulette... But I'll worry about that when it arises.

  12. Yes Ndidi

    The O'Reilly early sub concerns me. I guess it was injury related, but given how Gvardiol performed like a man possessed when he came on, either way I don't think he's the nailed option now we all thought he was when RAN went to AFCON.

    Problem is whether O'Reilly to Gvardiol is worth the 0.7 over Nunes, whether Nunes is any more nailed at RB anyway, and do I even need a City defender (Pickford, Keane, VDB, VH, Gab)

    Put it this way, Nunes means Wilson can become Rice (7th attacker) in due course, Gvardiol means keeping Wilson due to nothing better around the 6.3 mark. Been hanging on to KDH in the hope he comes back while Everton still have nice fixtures.

      Wondering the same. Gvardiol looked fantastic today. If he plays LB, he's definitely worth it.

      I think Andersen with DCs and goal threat is still a strong pick. Sunderland's defense is certainly worth considering. Is their performance sustainable though?

        Probably not if that's how you play it.

        I have profitted significantly season from picking 5 defenders who have DC, CS, BP and attacking potential, and playing 4 out of 5 based on either immediate form or fixtures. This GW I got Thiaw in for Lacroix, joining Timber, Tarkowski, Chalobah & Andersen. I've considered Sunderland options, but can't convince myself they're better than my existing options.

    Seeing all these active WCs and really got FOMO to reset - feel last 6-8 have been reactive trades (Foden,
    Ekitike, Cunha, Dorgu) and hate my team.

    But then I think I’ll just hate it again in 4-6 GWs so what’s the point

    1. Pep Roulette
      • 8 Years

      Ekitike is still a really good option

      No one good to pick on WC anyway, just keep it

      I just can't get my head around wildcarding in the transfer window. This is a short turnaround GW with limited info coming from the clubs as well. I've got 4 or 5 either flagged or who were planned to move on around now, so I'll be taking a hit or two, but playing the next 19GWs without a reset button would terrify me. I know we can roll 5FTs, but it'll take willpower that I haven't got to save them and then keep them.

    Is Rogers such a no-brainer Semenyo replacement? What about Bruno G? They have similar stats (both on 0.16 xG per 90 and 0.11 xA per 90) that they are massively overperforming.
    They always play 90 minutes. Bruno G has been benched a couple of times.
    Rogers isn't on set pieces with the exception of a couple of direct free kicks. Bruno G takes some corners.
    Bruno G is slightly better for Defcons (got it twice, Rogers never).
    Newcastle have the better fixtures. Villa better form right now.
    Bruno G is 0.4m cheaper, soon to be 0.5m.

    Someone suggested downgrading Semenyo and playing with an extra defender. I wonder if that's the way. For example, Timber, Guehi, Chalobah, Tarkowski all have scored similar points to Rogers/Bruno G. and are also much cheaper. It's a weird season, having to go against what we knew in terms of team structure, defenders vs attackers etc.

      Bruno G also has 3 home games in his next 4, try and get both IMO as Rogers should be a good pick
