NOTES
- It’s Wildcard time. With this Gameweek marking the final opportunity to deploy the first Wildcard of the season, I’ve decided to use it now and reshape my squad ahead of the Double Gameweek in GW21.
- AC Milan and Inter assets form the backbone of the team. Both sides look essential for the upcoming doubles, even if budget constraints mean I’ve had to settle for just two Inter players rather than three. I’ve also doubled up on Como, who continue to outperform expectations and offer strong value. Cheap enablers from Lecce and Parma help balance the squad without sacrificing too much upside.
- I’ve largely avoided Bologna, as their tendency to rotate around midweek fixtures makes them unreliable for minutes. Napoli players also miss out, simply because none fit the structure I want without forcing compromises elsewhere. Despite Verona having a Double Gameweek, their assets fail to convince and stay off my radar.
- Rather than chasing maximum doublers, I’ve aimed for balance. Nine to 11 Double Gameweek players feel sufficient, which allows room for a couple of single-gameweek options who still boast strong fixtures either side of GW21.

NOTES
- My Rebuild Squad chip is active this week to prepare for the upcoming DGW in GW21
- My back line is fairly settled. I would prefer to have Alessandro Bastoni over Manuel Akanji as my Inter defensive cover but can’t justify the additional €3.0 million outlay, particularly as funds are already tight.
- Jean Butez and Ivan Provedel appeal if I can find the extra funds to upgrade Vanja Milinković-Savić
- I’m also fairly happy with my attacking players. My main decision is whether to go with Hakan Çalhanoğlu and a cheap forward (in my case, Mateo Pellegrino), or Rasmus Højlund and a mid-price midfielder. I’m currently leaning towards the former, in part due to forwards being underpowered by the game in general but also the lack of viable midfielders in the €5.0-7.0 million bracket
- Ylber Ramadani is the best of a bad bunch in that regard. I need a budget enabler to afford my other premium picks and he should get between four and five points in most games, which is fine for his price point.

NOTES
- This looks set to be the first Gameweek where I can finally roll a transfer this season. All 15 players are fit, and the squad feels well-positioned for the upcoming Double Gameweek.
- I’ll have three further free transfers before then, which should allow me to move on Kenan Yıldız, Matías Soulé and Pietro Terracciano. Terracciano is likely to make way as early as next week, while I plan to roll the second free transfer to give me two heading into Double Gameweek 21.
