It’s time for our Fantasy Bundesliga Matchday 28 team reveals, as our experts showcase the best picks, top differentials, and smart plays for the week ahead.

@Big4FPL

NOTES

  • We’re back after the international break, and with unlimited transfers now live (plus what feels like an unlimited budget after all the price rises), there’s plenty to work with.
  • I’m currently sitting 261st overall and 71st in the Second Chance league.
  • The absence of Harry Kane, based on current news, opens the door for a differential striker. That said, I’m currently on the more template route with Serge Gnabry, especially with Nicolas Jackson also suspended.
  • Elsewhere, the team is fairly template, although I’d like to squeeze in a few differentials. Brajan Gruda stands out based on recent form and could be a great addition.
  • For the star picks, I’m backing Yan Diomande, Michael Olise, and Álejandro Grimaldo.

NOTES

  • GK’s: Kamil Grabara & Finn Dahmen – Despite having unlimited transfers, I’m likely to stick with the same goalkeeper pairing. Grabara is definitely staying, given the strong upcoming fixtures for save potential. The same applies to Dahmen, although with a tough match against HSV this week, I’m considering a one-week punt on Noah Atubolu against Bayern.
  • DEF’s: Álejandro Grimaldo, Nico Schlotterbeck, David Raum, Ozan Kabak & Aurèle Amenda – At the back, I may not make any changes at all. That might sound strange with unlimited transfers available, but I’m happy with the current setup. If I need to react to a surprise benching, I could move for someone like Edmond Tapsoba. I also quite like Hennes Behrens as a punt, given his recent form and Heidenheim’s upcoming fixtures.
  • MID’s: Michael Olise, Alexis Claude-Maurice, Romano Schmid, Christoph Baumgartner & Paul Nebel – Midfield is where most of the changes are likely to happen. Aleix García will definitely be sold due to suspension, and if I need to free up a third Bayern slot for Luis Díaz, then Joshua Kimmich could make way.
  • The current replacements are Claude-Maurice, who impressed again last time, and Nebel, whose form is becoming difficult to ignore, especially if I switch to a 4-3-3 this week. I’m also looking to move on from Schmid, although I haven’t fully settled on his replacement yet. Brajan Gruda is firmly on the radar if he’s fit and I have space, along with a Leverkusen midfielder like Ibrahim Maza.
  • FWD’s: Harry Kane, Luis Díaz & Deniz Undav – Up front is where the Saturday deadline really helps, as we should get confirmed line-ups for several teams before locking in. With doubts over Harry Kane and Yan Diomande, that extra information will be crucial.
  • If one of them misses out, Díaz will almost certainly come in. If both are out, then Serge Gnabry becomes the likely option if he starts. I also like Patrik Schick as a punt against Wolfsburg, provided he’s in the line-up.

NOTES

  • With the international break now out of the way, we’re handed a free wildcard to reset the squad.
  • I’ve gone fairly template, mainly because the standout options either have excellent fixtures or are simply reliable point scorers. That said, I’ve mixed in a couple of punts in midfield to add a bit of upside.
  • The star picks remain the same as usual, and I’m currently set up in a 4-3-3. That could still change depending on what the line-ups reveal on Saturday.
