It’s time for our Fantasy Bundesliga Matchday 29 team reveals, as our experts showcase the best picks, top differentials, and smart plays for the week ahead.

NOTES

  • After going without Harry Kane last week, it’s difficult to predict if he returns to the starting XI this time around. With the UEFA Champions League now in full focus and the league title effectively wrapped up, rotation remains a real concern.
  • Outside of that, the team is fairly template. Ibrahim Maza and Finn Dahmen offer slight differentials, but most of the core looks familiar. As we head into the final stretch, navigating Bayern’s rotation could be the key to making meaningful gains.
  • In terms of star picks, Deniz Undav (or Kane if he starts), Michael Olise, and Álejandro Grimaldo look like the standout options.

NOTES

  • GK’s: Kamil Grabara & Finn Dahmen – I chose Dahmen to save a transfer and keep flexibility instead of punting on Noah Atubolu against Bayern. That call hurt, especially with Atubolu hauling 277 points. Still, Dahmen now faces Hoffenheim, Leverkusen and Frankfurt, where he should rack up save points and offer some upside. As for Grabara, Wolfsburg’s defence continues to leak chances, but that actually helps his fantasy output. He should stay busy and keep ticking over with saves.
  • DEF’s: Álejandro Grimaldo, Nico Schlotterbeck, David Raum, Ozan Kabak & Aurèle Amenda – At the back, I’m only considering one move, and even that feels fairly minor. I’m looking to bring Amenda back in for Brown after missing out on his recent returns. Brown simply hasn’t delivered the upside I expected. The rest of the defence picks itself. Grimaldo, Schlotterbeck, Raum and Kabak continue to offer consistency, so I see no reason to move them on. If I do make another change, I’ll look towards Julian Ryerson, Maximilian Mittelstädt, Stefan Posch or a Union defender.
  • MID’s: Joshua Kimmich, Alexis Claude-Maurice, Christoph Baumgartner, Paul Nebel & Lennart Karl – Midfield remains the toughest area to get right. Bayern face St. Pauli between key UEFA Champions League fixtures against Real Madrid, so rotation looks highly likely. That pushes me away from buying Michael Olise this week. Instead, I’ll stick with Kimmich and Karl, as both should start. I’m also keeping Baumgartner, Nebel and Claude-Maurice, with the latter set for the star. If I need to react to injuries or team news, I’ll consider Chris Führich, Said El Mala or Romano Schmid.
  • FWD’s: Luis Díaz, Deniz Undav & Yan Diomande – Up front, Díaz worries me slightly due to rotation risk, so I’ll likely sell if I sense he won’t start. With Harry Kane also expected to see limited minutes, forward options feel thinner than usual. That said, players like Phillip Tietz or Arnaud Kalimuendo could step in if needed. For now, I’ll back Undav and Diomande to lead the line, as both look secure for minutes and capable of delivering returns.

NOTES

  • My plan this week is simple: push for rank gains, while still keeping a solid safety net in place.
  • With that approach, I’m bringing in Harry Kane, Deniz Undav, Joshua Kimmich, Maximilian Mittelstädt and Bernardo. Making way are Luis Díaz, Serge Gnabry, Paul Nebel, Brown and Raphaël Guerreiro.
  • I’ll likely line up in a 4-4-2 to guard against any unexpected rotation from Vincent Kompany. The stars will go on Undav, Kimmich and Mittelstädt, all of whom look well set for both minutes and returns this week.
