On a day when they’ve reportedly agreed a £123m fee for Bradley Barcola, Liverpool take on Nottingham Forest in the 12.30pm BST kick-off.

TEAM NEWS

Andoni Iraola makes two changes to the side that started last Sunday’s draw at Newcastle United.

Victor Munoz gets his first competitive Liverpool start, while Alexis Mac Allister also comes into the line-up.

Ryan Gravenberch and Rio Ngumoha drop to the bench.

Oliver Glasner makes one enforced alteration from the Nottingham Forest side defeated by Leeds United in Gameweek 1.

Xaver Schlager comes into the midfield to replace the injured Ibrahim Sangare.

The Tricky Trees’ new striker, Liam Delap, who joined from Chelsea earlier in the week, is among the substitutes.

LINE-UPS

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Frimpong, Jacquet, van Dijk, Kerkez, Szobozslai, Mac Allister, Munoz, Gakpo, Wirtz, Isak.

Subs: Mamardashvili, Endo, Tsimikas, Araujo, Gravenberch, Nyoni, McConnell, Koumas, Ngumoha.

Nottingham Forest XI: Sels, Cunha, Milenkovic, Murillo, Aina, McAtee, Schlager, Williams, Ndoye, Gibbs-White, Igor Jesus.

Subs: Victor, Diomande, Hudson-Odoi, Dominguez, Wood, Delap, Yates, Netz, Abbott.

    MCI, BRE, or BHA

Yeah but hes just bad player. Completely unfit to be starting attacking mid for a top 6 team

You could do a season sleeper team

      With Rice
      Sangare Brentford
      Stach

And probably have a decent season

      + centre backs etc

      1. Nightcrawler

Yes but you'll never have a chance to have a great season.

Someone I know made a team like this last season and was 500 in the world at Christmas

He only started doing badly when the DGWs came round because he didn’t touch his team

          1. Nightcrawler

Last season was an anomaly because of players like Bruno G casamero caicedo (early in the season) rice getting so many attacking returns

            Yeah

            It was a reflection

Fergie time is one of his lasting legacies

The stats say it was shorter in most matches

What the Statistics ShowLate Goals: According to the Premier League, multiple clubs actually scored more 90th-minute winners than Manchester United did during Ferguson's tenure. Liverpool and Arsenal recorded more late goals in stoppage time.Added Time Analysis: Academic and statistical studies published on Premier League added time found little evidence of systemic favoritism or extra time gifted specifically to Manchester United in close matches.

He looks more confident playing 10 I agree. Still from wide areas had two great chances to score. I can see him coming good if chances keep coming

          1. GoonerSteve
            1 month, 22 days ago

I think you are right. He is getting chances and creating goals despite not looking 100% confident. With a run in the team he could start scoring really well.

      2. Nightcrawler
        1 month, 22 days ago

I'm an arsenal fan. Raya is the best in the world at guarding the box/claiming crosses and probably the best keeper in the league right now but Allison has done it for a decade now.

        1. Nightcrawler
          1 month, 22 days ago

          Also peak Allison is unbelievable

        2. GoonerSteve

Am going to try and play the longer game with my chips, as I’ve got off to a middling to good start (inside 1m) and my squad needs transfers (to get rid of the Man U dross) but doesn’t really need a wildcard.

If I use Bruno funds to strengthen my 8th attacker, I think I’m fine with Haaland, Cherki and Gvardiol for GW3.

Szoboszlai in the shop window for the Ipswich and Fulham fixtures. That would mean DCL is my cheapest attacker, but I could sleep walk into a nice bench boost opportunity.

    1. AC/DC AFC
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

With the chips you can't compare rank until Gw19 again.

Yeah, that’s what I mean. To be inside 1m at this stage with all the BBs is probably ok.

It’s so tempting to act with all the transfer activity, though.

Cherki isn’t even a long term pick but he’s fine up until GW12 probably.
