Villa v Arsenal team news: Jackson debut, Konsa a sub

Gameweek 2 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) concludes with Aston Villa v Arsenal.

Kick-off at Villa Park is at 20:00 BST.

TEAM NEWS

Mikel Arteta sticks with the same team that defeated Coventry City on the opening day .

That means that Ezri Konsa is only on the Gunners’ bench as he makes a matchday squad for the first time since his transfer from tonight’s hosts.

Also among the Arsenal substitutes is the fit-again Bruno Guimaraes.

As for the Villans, there are two changes from their 4-0 pasting by Brighton and Hove Albion.

They hand full debuts to two of their summer captures, goalkeeper Zion Suzuki and striker Nicolas Jackson.

Joao Gomes is suspended, while Marco Bizot drops to the bench.

          It was a blatant handball which led to an own goal, which by the rules of the game, cannot be overturned.

          So correct decision.

            They can blow for a handball regardless of the own goal shenanigans. That was the mistake - judging it to be an accidental handball in the first place

            Yeah I don't think that's true. They go back all the time and retroactively call fouls that lead up to a goal. They don't AUTOMATICALLY disqualify a goal unless it touches the goal scorer's hard, but I believe they can use VAR to call an infraction in the build-up. At least, that's my interpretation that may or may not be incorrect

              They blatantly said during the broadcast that VAR could not overturn the goal because Maguire’s shot was off-target otherwise it would have been disallowed
