Saudi Fantasy returns, with Round 11 getting underway soon.

With the deadline fast approaching and unexpected match postponements to deal with, we’ve asked our Fantasy experts to reveal their latest teams and explain the thinking behind their selections.

@DrWaleedKhokhar

  • For Round 11, I’m using my free transfers to freshen up the attack. Francisco Trincão comes into midfield, whilst Ivan Toney makes way for George Ilenikhena, who has a favourable home fixture. It was a tough decision between Ilenikhena and Youssef En-Nesyri, but with the AFC Champions League coming up, I’m expecting some rotation. That makes Ilenikhena my preferred option this week.
  • Marcin Bułka keeps his place in goal, with Nawaf Boushal, Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat, Malang Sarr and Kalidou Koulibaly forming the defence. In midfield, Trincão joins João Félix, Crysencio Summerville, Rúben Neves and Julián Quiñones, whilst Ilenikhena leads the line on his own.
  • Camara takes the first spot on my bench and also has a home fixture, giving me a useful backup option. Félix currently has the captaincy armband, with Abu Al-Shamat as vice-captain, although both decisions could still change before the deadline.

  • I have one free transfer and £2.7m in the bank heading into Round 11, but I’m still unsure what to do this week. There are a couple of options I’m considering, although nothing is decided just yet.
  • We’ll get to see Al Fayha’s starting line-up before the deadline, which should help with my decision on Valentino Lazaro. If he starts, I’m likely to keep him in my team.
  • Al Qadsiah face Al Hilal this week, which isn’t ideal considering how many players I own from both sides. Captaincy also looks particularly difficult, with no obvious standout option.
  • One possibility is selling Ollie Watkins for Cristiano Ronaldo, taking advantage of Al Nassr’s next three fixtures. It’s a move that could work well beyond this round, rather than focusing purely on the immediate Gameweek.
  • Alternatively, I could replace Keller with Nawaf Boushal, which would then allow me to move away from Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat. I’d prefer not to hedge my bets by covering both sides of the same fixture, so that’s another route I’m considering.
  • I’m not sure which option I’ll eventually settle on, but those are the two main plans for now. If Ivan Toney makes a surprise recovery, he’ll also come into consideration, although that currently looks unlikely.

@hassanelolemy

  • I’m happy with how my squad looks heading into the next round, so I’m planning to roll my free transfer. I don’t think my team needs any changes this week, and having an extra transfer available for the following round could prove useful.

  • My first planned transfer is to sell Al Shanqiti, who isn’t expected to start. I’m currently deciding between Milan Borjan and Marek Rodák as his replacement.
  • If Daniel Podence misses out on the starting line-up, I’ll also look to replace him. Julián Quiñones is my preferred option, but only if Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t start. In that scenario, Quiñones would also become my captain.
  • There are plenty of other midfielders on my radar, including Amir Sayoud, whose starting line-up we’ll know before the deadline. Théo Bongonda is another appealing option, particularly with a Double Gameweek coming up in the following round. Saïd Benrahma, Ângelo Gabriel, Houssem Aouar and Trézéguet are also under consideration.
  • If Ronaldo doesn’t start, I’ll look to replace him with one of four forwards. Youssef En-Nesyri and George Ilenikhena are among my preferred options, whilst Mathias and Afimico Pululu are also on the shortlist.
  • Captaincy is currently between Steven Bergwijn and Ronaldo, depending on the latest team news. However, if Ivan Toney is leaked to start, I’ll definitely bring him into my team and hand him the armband. That would make the captaincy decision much easier!

  • A new Gameweek is here, and it’s time to get back to business! The previous round didn’t quite go to plan, but that’s part of Fantasy. There’s no point dwelling on it, so I’m looking ahead to another opportunity to climb the rankings.
  • My plan this week is fairly straightforward. I’m happy enough with my current squad to roll the free transfer, giving me more flexibility heading into the following round. Unless something changes before the deadline, I’ll be sticking with the players I already have.
  • Captaincy is still up for debate, although Cristiano Ronaldo is currently my preferred option. I’ll assess the latest team news before making a final decision, but he’s leading the way for now.
  • Hopefully, trusting the squad and saving a transfer will pay off. Good luck to everyone this Gameweek, and may the green arrows be with us!
